Arnav held on to Khushi's hand squeezing it harder by every second. They both exited the hotel in absolute silence. Khushi looked at Arnav and she could notice that he was very angry and expected answers from her. Even though Arnav would never ask for them, she knew she was going to have give some pretty soon. Arnav opened the passenger door and made her sit on the seat. He took out the first aid kit from the compartment in front of her to tend her bruises and scratches. He gently took her hand and applied antiseptic cream and a bandage around her hand carefully. Khushi did nothing but just looked at his face trying to decode the emotions on his face, but this Arnav Singh Raizada she was looking at. His emotion are like a mission impossible to understand.
Arnav closed the passenger door and made his way to the driver's seat. Khushi watched him as he took his seat, put on his seat belt and started the car in anger. Arnav sped the car down the road in silence. No one spoke for the next ten minutes. But when the silence soon started to irk Khushi, she decided to start a conversation, even if it turned out to be a fight.
Khushi: arnavji...
silence
Khushi: arnavji... woh hum kaha jaa rahe hai?
Arnav: jaha bhi jaa rahe ho, tumhe kya pharak padta hai... tum to wahase phirse bhag hi jaogi na?
Khushi: arnavji... woh humne-
Arnav stopped the car with a big jerk and said, "woh kya Khushi? mere bhale ke liye mujhe chod diya? isme mera bhala kaise ho sakta hai?
Khushi looked at him with tears in her eyes.
Arnav took out the note she wrote to him and started waving it in front of her face.
A: yeh chitti likhar humare sab sapne tod diye na tumne? jab mujhe tumhari sabse jyada zarurat thi tabhi tum mujhe choddkar-
Khushi got that Arnav was going to cry and went to pacify him. She cupped his face and said, "Arnavji, hume maaf kardijiye, woh chachaji ne joh kaha tha, hume laga ki aap humse bahut naraz-
A: -naraz? mein naraz kyu hounga?
Arnav took her hand in his, "Yeh hum dono jaante hai ki issme tumhari koi galti nahi thi. Please tum aise phir se chodkar mat jana. agar tum gayi toh pata nahi mein kya kar betunga-
Khushi was shocked at his response and put her hand over mouth, gesturing him to never EVER say that again. Arnav took her hand off of his mouth and lovingly said, "agar mujhe taklif mein dekhe tumhe itni taklif hoti hai, to tum mujhe aise chodke khyu chali gayi?!
Khushi looked away as she had no answer to that.
Arnav looked away too and got out of the car and slammed the door. Khushi was surprised and looked at him come towards her door. Arnav opened her door, took her hand and pulled her out. He didn't pull her out harshly but gesturing her to come out of the car. He held her hand and made her tag alongside him. They were climbing the steps of the MahaShiv Mandir. It was cold and the wind was blowing leaves and who knows what other stuff all over the place. Khushi, as she climbed the steps and the view in front of her became clearer saw there was an agnikund lighted and ready as if it were waiting for them.
Khushi looked at Arnav with a puzzled face but Arnav just kept on staring at the blazing fire which would soon unite them.
