Arnav wrestled away some of the sheets covering his bare torso; sitting up in bed he smirked appreciatively at his sleeping companion. He wondered if it was appropriate to wake her up again, then decided against it thinking how it had only been a small while since he'd let her slip into the still sleep, sated from their earlier activities. Slipping out of the bed he stepped into the pants that lay abandoned at the foot of the bed.
Strolling across the room, he stretched his long limbs before moving away the fluttering curtains to step into the moonlight infused poolside. The soft light illuminated the open room, reflecting off the tiny waves into the poolside to play across the room as shadows. His hands were stuffed into his pockets as he ambled back and forth as an easy pace, contemplating the state of his life.
It was as he thought about his slumbering wife that he noticed a faint moment out of the corner of his eye. A frown formed as he realized it was the current bane of his existence. He took a deep breath, calming himself down as the repeated the mantra he'd been chanting with her for weeks. Only a bit longer, a few moments more.
Now calmer, Arnav thought about why Shyam Jha would be wandering around at night, was he trying to spy on us? That's...disturbing...
He turned to hide a small smirk as he began stretching again, dramatically wincing at the small scratches lining his back. He mentally patted himself on the back for paying attention to what his wife had been watching earlier, who said TV shows were a waste of time? They gave such perfect ideas on antagonizing people!
He turned slowly, hiding his grin upon seeing Shyam glaring menacingly at him.
"Jeejaji," he called out in a happy voice, "why are you still up?"
Shyam walked over measurably towards him as Arnav smirked back at him, "couldn't sleep?" he inquired sweetly.
"No," came the gruff reply, "why are you so happy Arnav?"
Arnav grinned at him, shrugging as he tousled his hair, "Why shouldn't I be happy Jeejaji," he countered, "tonight was an amazing night. And the best part? It's not over."
He steeled himself as Shyam lunged to crowd him, hands reaching for a shirt Arnav had neglected to put on.
"Jeejaji, this is really inappropriate," he said in a worried tone, "what would my wife think? Plus it hurts my poor back." He pushed the man away as he began stretching his back again, "Khushi gets a little wild," he explained with an impish smile, "how long do you think this'll take to heal?"
Arnav gave in and laughed when Shyam rushed towards him again, he restrained him with a hand as he continued chuckling and said, "I think you've had enough air, Jeejaji, why don't you go to your room and I'll go back to mine? I don't think I want you standing here anymore," he pursed his lips as he began walking away from the furious man towards the curtained door. "You're leaving right," he paused to ask, "It'd be awfully embarrassing if you stayed, she gets loud sometimes..."
He waved goodbye as he slid the door closed, sliding the curtain back in alongside it, grinning again as he saw the incensed man still standing and glaring where he'd left him.
Turning away with a growing smile he leaped onto the bed, landing half on top the form who let out a loud squeal, just like he knew she would.
"Quiet jaan," he whispered, "even the walls have ears..."
