Gupta's leave rejecting Khushi's overtures ..A broken Khushi , collapsing inwardly but holding on , holding by that survivor's instinct shuffles in slowly , her mind a whirl of emotions all darker than the other, she stumbles against the door, her words echoing the words of the man who has laid claim to ehr publicly but rejects and refuses to give any rights privately...Khushi blunders in, moving with an unerring instinct to that harbor which has protected hr..Her sister Payal...A waiting Payal engulfs her in her arms , seeks to know the reason but when Khushi stubbornly does not answer , a frustrated, hurt Payal hurls wounding words at Khushi..It is not as if Payal wants to hurt Khushi, it is as if Payal is applying salve to ehr own wound caused by Khushi's adamant silence, it is the wound caused when a sister does not trust one enough to confide in her , It is a hurt caused when the person you consider as ur own keeps u out of her inner circle ...Payal too leaves , leaving Khushi stranded in the hall...Khushi crumbles to the ground , weighed down by her sorrow ..
More than Khushi breaking down, what I liked here was the silent communication between Payal and Akash..one press of the hand and a look from Akash..Payal understands ..A look from Payal , Akash understands and leaves the two sisters alone..I also liked the fact that Payal does not open her mouth until Akash is there..This is between her and her kid sister and hubby will not be privy to it ...The look of affection, of genuine concern in Payal's demeanor when Khushi stumbles towards turning to aggrieved anger when Khushi refuses to answer, the helpless distress of Payal turning into stinging words whip-lashing Khushi ... Deepali was very good ...This girl can act when it comes to emotional scenes
Arnav in his bedroom, his mind churning out images relentlessly, He pacing up and down trying to force the images away but like possessed the images haunt him, his sister breaking down, his wife being slapped, his grand mother shattered ...unable to bear the consequences of his deed, Arnav collapses down, his face a criss cross of raw pain, anguish, frustrated , feeling incompetent while down stairs His wife sits clutching the MS as if it is her last refuge, a haven which will not desert her , A symbol that it will be her protector ..her mind fluidly leaping to the temple where Arnav angrily, full of disdain applies the Sindoor, carelessly almost indifferently ties the MS...what is a matter of indifference to him is of enormous import to her ..Payal is crying in her room while Akash lends his tacit support, A support which goes a long way in comforting a pained Payal than words can..She draws strength from him and resolves to tackle the issue another day ..with an open mind..
Arnav has really climbed down his Olympus, hasn't he .. This is the second time when he is on the floor ..a sense of being abandoned,an anguish so deep and so strong that vocalizing it would be trivializing it .. A caged wounded Tiger ...Khushi well and truly forsaken by everyone but not her by her DM ..A girl who has been dealt several blows in life , who has handled them with smile now is grounded , her wings torn and shredded ..her pain inconsolable by the steady stream of tears gushing out on her cheeks ...Anjali..A woman who is truly all alone , grief her only companion as her brother has distanced her, her hubby was never there for her ...Nani , a wise lady who has seen the ups and downs of life yet when a storm hit, it leaves her battered ,bruised and fragile ..Wounded and wretched souls , so steeply caught in their own torment that they are unable to comprehend much even understand the anguish the other is going through ...
I also loved the shot when Arnav remembers Khushi, Khushi is seen holding the MS [ him ] in her hands, gradually pulling it closer towards her, strongly holding it between her palms...Assuring herself and us that Arnav might have gone away from her for now but sooner or later , He will draw closer to her again, the marriage will remain strong for the strong hands of Khushi cups it and she will not allow it to be broken..
How long can tears flow, enough is enough Khushi decides...The feisty girl, the spunky girl Khushi is, she firmly takes charge of her next modus operandi.. Khushi does not wait on ceremonies nor expect anyone to come to her aid, She stands tall, firm her path chosen already by her DM..Khushi moved on this path which leads her directly to Arnav Singh Raizada's ..enters the room, closes the door with decisive click..turns to look at Arnav , who has been very much aware of her every actions but could be said to be a engraved statue save for the flaring nostrils and the gritting of the jaw..Khushi approaches him as he steadfastly ignores her ..Khushi sits by his side , Khushi does not accuse him does not abuse him, gently , looking inwards she voluntarily shares her pain , her sorrow with him ..Arnav although not looking at her is deeply affected by her tale, but he cannot help himself from looking at her when she says that she has become orphan again !!.. Orphan !! That one word which connects this wounded souls, which binds them to one another , which has brought them closer ...Today again it is this feeling of being ' ALONE" which stirs compassion in Arnav, there is an instinctive empathy ..a tenuous connection is made only for it to be torn asunder when Khushi demands to know the reason ...cold and implacable anger asserts itself ...As is his wont, Arnav prepares for his flight but is halted by Khushi who lets loose a torrent of words ...Arnav stands there still, hushed but bubbling inside ..A frustrated Khushi goaded beyond her limits of endurance begins to toy with him , begins to yell at him...Her volatility is brought swiftly under control by quick controlled aggression of Arnav, her unruly tongue is silenced by his softly voiced words dripping sarcasm ..but the irrepressible Khushi cannot be quietened for long, in a greater fury she demands a straight answer only to be thwarted by the unyielding ASR..ASR walks away ...
Kudos to the creators for remembering that Khushi was a spunky lass, a go getter , a decisive girl ..loved the way she went on unhesitatingly to Arnav's room , locked the door without an iota of self consciousness ...The scene between Arnav and Khushi ..so sublime, intense and moving... Barun and SI were brilliant .The way Barun changes expressions , SI's body language were awesome... be it from the first moment when he has kept his eyes firmly averted from her to the moment when he hears orphan and turns completely to face her, establishing the silent link, to the moment when he begins to seethe as she brings up the reason BI was in roaring form...SI from the bowed , hunched shoulders as she begins to narrate her painful past to the moment when she surrenders herself to the glorious anger as she forces him to listen to her, refuses him permission to leave and Arnav heeding her, staying put ...Also the authoritative way, Khushi places her hand on Arnav's shoulder [ could we envision KKG doing it , nope ] , the complete validation of her ownership on him and viceversa. Arnav not shirking it, not pushing it away ..was a wonderful sight to see ...
It was also heartening to see Khushi sharing her innermost feelings easily with Arnav whilst she found it difficult to articulate to her near and dear ones...This one scenes shoes that the unspoken rapport exists and will help them weather the storm
next comes the much awaited scene the confrontation between Jeejaji and saalesaheb..A unfettered Shyam who can deal with an unhampered Arnav... A warning issued , A prediction made regarding Shyam's fate and a small window of opportunity given to Shyam again due to Anajli ...then comes pure one upmanship, the staking of territory as Arnav asserts his rights over Khushi ...a pause to make sure that Shyam understood ..walking back to his jeep, but not letting his gaze slide away from Shyam, eyes full of contempt and loathing towards Shyam..
I just loved this scene right from the beginning to the ending ... The shining of head lamp on Shyam and shyam hiding his face unable to look at the bright light t... what a clear cut way to show that evil always cowers under the bright light of truth, righteousness and how clearly has it been delineated that Shyam is that evil while the angry Arnav is the champion , the one who will fight this evil head on , who will not allow this poison to contaminate his homestead ...I also liked the end scene where Arnav sits in his vehicle... Arnav in the drivers seat, the one who will pull the strings , the one who will guide the destiny ...one who has his eyes on the vermin Shyam , who will be keeping a watch on him..one false move and he will be squashed like a bug ...
Abhas voice modulation was very good and a pleasant surprise ..for a second one actually felt sorry for that fellow Shyam...Also the sour face he makes when Arnav sardonically calls him Jeejaji..classic !!... enjoyed the boys game of I won cos I got her as my bride too..The satisfied tone, the subdued triumph , the clear cut intimidation to Shyam , BS was too good .. I had in my earlier post had mentioned that I would like to see Arnav addressing Shyam as ' Tum'..finally got my wish !!...over all a night to remember !!
