I was just thinking about this, and the reason behind the six month contract.

Arnav was determined to tell Angali about Shayam

He finds out she's pregnant.

He is informed he is going to be an uncle, in VERY loving terms. Reminding him of his duty to the baby who has not yet come.

His plan

Marry Khushi and remain married for six months
Let Angali have the baby
Tell Angali about Shayam
Angali and Shayam divorce
He divorces Khushi
His sister and her baby remain safe
Shayam and Khushi can go their own way

OMG, he's being selfless, not cruel. Because he believes that Khushi wants to be with Shayam. If he didn't want them to ever be together, was being vengeful and vicious, he would stay married to Khushi indefinitely, just to teach them both a lesson. This way he protects his sister, her baby and releases Khushi back to Shayam where he thinks she wants to be. - That's just heartbreaking. How can anyone think his intentions are NOT right?

Edit: If Anjali gets to know the truth, she might get depressed and it might affect the child. So it might be that ASR wants to hide the truth until Anjali delivers the child safely. So I guess ASR is planning to reveal the truth to Anjali after she has delivered the child...

By the way, that was a brilliant reason, HOH...

Anne, I am glad you could crack what's going on in ASR's mind. This might happen also. I think he is doing it all for 2 people he loves the most. He can never be cruel, that's my thought.

Good post.

But i don't think he will divorce her just because she can be with Shyam

he will divorce because he can't say to his sister: look my wife khushi is the reason of your pain and she will be with me now, live in the same house...

Arnav at thi time is just thinking about his di and not Khushi

i feel bad for arnav... :( he's all broken... and he's hurting... i'm totally on his side... i mean i know that khushi's innocent and all... but it would've been better if she had told him before (llike DUHHH!!!)

but i feel horrible for what arnav's going through now :(

i guess he'll find out the truth and stuff within these 6 months... and all that's been going on between arnav and khushi for the past few weeks would actually mean SOMETHING... but the writers better not create some other drama when they're about to get together...

Wow! Hmmm! Now thats another way to look at it! nice one hun, didn't think of it that way! All I can see is tons of heart breaking heart wrenching drama when the 6 month deal approaches its end. Lots of love passion and madness flying around! Wonder where Arnav n Khushi would be in the scheme of things, how things are going to shape up...lots to look forward to! It would break my heart into zillion pieces if Arnav becomes this selfless and asks Khushi to just leave him n marry that rat! I dont know about Khushi, but I will be torn into pieces !!! I hope she manages to bring forth her innocence, turn the whole thing around and then lets see what Raizada Saahab has to say to that. Waiting game yep!

Very plausible!

I couldn't come to terms with the fact that Arnav was willing to let his sis live with that unfaithful wretch of a husband!

I'm nitpicking here... but this assumption would be based on the fact that Anjali is currently 3 months pregnant and the baby will definitely arrive in 6 months 😃
