I have to say this before I burst. There is something horribly, horribly wrong going on here, but the rest of the Forum is just cheering which leaves me to plead to all of you to please, please read this post with an open mind and give its contents some thought.
The interview from Gul Khan shook me and sowed a suspicion in my mind, only to be proved true by Thursday's episode. Here's the most pertinent part of Gul Khan's interview:
The story so far has been romantic when it comes to Arnav and Khushi with sweet and light hearted moments. However from here on you will see a transition from the fun zone to a serious one where Arnav will really hurt Khushi. So when he eventually later whenever that is, finds out how much he has hurt her, the level of passion will obviously go much higher. Things will switch into the pain and angst mode. Right now both of them are in the "I dont believe in Love, but I have fallen in love" phase but when you take it to a level where you have ruined somebodys life, and for no mistake of the other person then you can expect the intensity and extent of the pain and passion that will come into play!
The highlight here is that whatever Arnav has done, whatever terms and conditions he has laid down for this so-called marriage will leave Khushi hurt and completely RUIN HER LIFE. Let's remember this for a second.
Moving on to the actual episode, we do not hear what Arnav says to Khushi but it leaves her totally shattered. Arnav blackmails her with Payal's wedding and Khushi being the ever-sacrificing sister agrees to his terms. Payal's marriage takes place, yet Khushi is still seen lost in her own fate and with dread of what is to come.
At this point of the story, we know that Khushi loves Arnav, and Arnav though he loves her has buried those feelings deep within hiimself only for hate to surface for this girl. How far will this hate for the girl who is ruining his sister's life go? Of what we see, when angry, ASR locks up his mind and jumps to conclusions. We've seen him be wrong and take wrong decisions in anger many times. His anger is hell - and he will go to any, ANY limits to prove his point.
At this point, there is absolutely no way that Arnav Singh Raizada is tolerating Khushi Kumari Gupta under his roof. KKG has it tough, because ASR knowing her biggest weaknesses has asked her to do the one thing he knows she will never do - agree to a live-in relationship under the guise of marriage. Just think - why would ASR marry her anyway? He HATES her! She is the girl shattering his world. No, he is only punishing her with every tactic he can think of. He knows she will break down under a live in relationship, it is the worst case scenario for her here.
On the other hand, why would KKG be upset over a forced marriage proposal? She loves Arnav, right? Being married to him would not "ruin her life" as Gul Khan has said. A marriage, even if the guy does not love you back can NEVER ruin anyone's life. Even divorces never ruin anyone's life.
But for KKG, a live in relationship under the guise of marriage would mean the end of everything, and isn't that what Zee_News said in one of her spoilers - that Khushi loses everything? Just think, whenever the news is out that Khushi Kumari Gupta has been living in the same room as Arnav Singh Raizada, only pretending to be married, it will be the end of her character, her honour, her reputation, her dignity, her life. Much worse than what Arnav's first punshment to her was by leaking out her fashion show fiasco to the media world. She will be shunned and rebuked by not only her own family, the RM members but everyone else who she thenceforth meets. It will show her as a character-less, character dheela girl.
And so this is the Zabardast Twist never seen on Indian Telly before - it's not a marriage at all. The hero and heroine of the lead SP show are pretending to be married, while they are only living in together and shamming it. And once the terms are over, Khushi will be leaving RM. And what girl would want to continue staying under this insult anyway? I will not be blaming her for forever wanting to cut off ties with ASR forever.
But there are loopholes, you say. Why would Khushi STAY in the sham when she could leave earlier, when nothing is binding her? Because Arnav has probably blackmailed her with the other ace up his sleeve. He and Khushi have no way of knowing that the truth of Payal's previous failed marriage is out and already discussed at his house. There was a reason why we were shown that Anjali and Akash agree to not tell Arnav about what happened regarding Payal, and on the other side, Buaji tells Garima they will never tell Khushi about this as she already has so much responsibility. But Arnav and Khushi don't know this - and Arnav's trump card is that he will unveil this hidden truth to Mami and then Payal's marriage will break. And knowing Mami's unforgiving nature, and the already rickety relationship she has with Payal, Khushi will begin her shattered life under an empty threat of a harmless piece of news being revealed.
I am sorry. As much as I love ASR, he has crossed the line here. There are a few things in life which one does not play with - and a girl's reputation and honour are one of them. Even Lavanya never faced this - she was always a guest of RM, and living in separate rooms. And dare I say it, even Shyam Manohar Jha, the perpetual villain, never stooped so low as to completely shatter the life of KKG. But ASR has done something unforgivable, IF this is a live-in relationship. May woe betide him when he finds out how utterly wrong he was, and how he has completely ruined the life of a decent, respectable girl.
Khushi should have told him the truth long ago, or even now: Yes, I agree. But that tiny little fault does not vouch for this huge of a punishment. I've myself seen many weddings on the verge of breakup, but which settle down again when a child is born. Khushi just thought along those lines, but they in no way merit what ASR is dishing her out. ASR will have to redeem himself very much to win back Khushi's heart.
I do hope people have read this, even if it turned out too long. Your thoughts please?
EDIT: OH MY GOD, I'M SO HAPPY THEY ARE REALLY MARRIED AND NOT LIVING IN. THANK THE CV'S, YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME, I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO TOLERATE THE CRUELTY FROM ARNAV FOR A LIVE-IN.
