All his "Intelligent" Films BS is overrated! I do think Aamir is a smart guy. Intelligent? not sure... quasi-intelligent maybe. But he is Shrewd, Calculative and definitely Good at whatever he does.That's his major Plus! What works for him:
a)he has an excellent sense of script(most of the times, he doesn't err as many times as his other contemporaries or even the younger bunch).
b)Exceptional at marketing. I don't know if it s a team working behind him or his own or a combined effort... but the man can sell ice creams to eskimos.
c) He is a good actor.And he slips like a fish into any character. That's the biggest advantage this guy has. After kamal hassan...he is the only guy who can pass off as country guy, urban,commoner,cop...also he is good at comedy n serious films... versatile, no doubt. Which gives advantage in his art.

And... he is one of those guys who knows what is happening around him. His GK is quite good ( Which I quite admire in SRK also). They know where their country/ world is going, that earns a brownie point from me.I like people who are aware. Also as I said, he is good at whatever he does... I was so surprised to see him playing drums SOO darn well.

But he puts me off as a person. He carries too many wrong notions about himself and misleads people. There are certain things I dislike about him,
a)He MAKES derogatory comments like the SRK-dog one.He SUFFERS from superiority complex... just because you have little more brains than many of your brawny competitors that does not make you the most smartest guy in the country.
b)He THINKS audiences are NOT as intelligent as him... I mean COME ON dude, they are people 200 times more intelligent than you. He looks down upon his audience like he is too good for them or something... that puts me off majorly because he is not what he tries to show off most of the times.
c) He STEALS. He takes credit for something which is NOT his. He does not give credit where it is due but definitely takes where it is not his.

I at times like him and at times hate him. Given the kind of films B'wood is dishing out offlate I've started to admire his films a little more now.

P.S: The lack of atleast few decent scripts around make people hype Aamir's films more I think. Specially now-a-days.Also like the above person states he isn't repetitive.That gives hope to people who are sick of plain rom-coms or mindless action flicks.

SRK has had the king khan title for the longest time so his fans always have to defend that title. His fans have to fight with/ or have faught with... Salman fans, akshay fans and aamir fans. That does not mean that every SRK fan hates aamir, salman or akki... but generally you can find srk fans criticizing salman, akshay and aamir and you can see salman, akki and aamir fans picking on srk... but you will rarely see salman fans criticizing aamir, or sallu fans criticizing akki.. or akki fans picking on aamir or salman.
