Okay - so before testosterone in my house takes over for the Super Bowl (that would be American football for you folks who don't know - go Giants!), I thought I would do a touchy feely post.

I was wondering how many people still think that Khushi thinks back to Diwali. What I have seen from the CVs is that while she has not fb'd on that missed kiss, she was totally broken afterwards - rightfully so, since ASR ripped her heart out and stepped all over it.

But right now, I think she is beyond the Diwali debacle. She learned a lesson and has moved on. I think she did have her heart sealed for a while (thanks to added Shyam injury), was very cautious with ASR - while he was slowly figuring out about La and KKG, but it all changed during the sangeet.

A closed heart for ASR would not mean a parody about him and everything she notices about him, would not mean taking him up to be her dance partner (comparison: Shyam was standing right there), would not mean the meaningful glances and complete trust she had shown him during that dance and every encounter after, would not mean her seeking his face out during her reward acceptance or thanking him during her mock speech. A closed heart for ASR would not result in the farak padta hain kiss and everything that led up to it, or the wonderful acceptance and appreciation of the bangles. You simply don't do or display all of this to a man you are intent on having your heart closed to. Her heart is not closed anymore to him. Memories of Diwali have been replaced with new meaningful ones. There are answers and clues of emotions. I don't think she thinks back to how much he hurt her in a calculated matter whenever she is with him. It comes out in hesitation, like testing water temperature. Khushi's heart is open for business, INSPITE of Diwali. That's why it goes dhak dhak.

Yes Go Giants !!
Anu, I personally think that it is us ie we in the forum who have decided for Khushi that it was Diwali night which has caused her to tread carefully with Arnie but infact there has never been any substantial evidence that that is trully the case.
In my POV she thinks of Arnav to be very daunting and very different from her and is unable to understand him and her attraction to him. He never gives her clear signals of what he wants of her. If you check teh Teri Meri sequence you will find that all the FBs are realted to that very confusion . the times he has been nice to her and the times he has not.
With Arnie we still get to know of his struggles ( though still dont know why he is teh way he is ) but his talks with his sister , the sort of jealousy with NK and him giving in to her tears but Khushi has been a closed box throughout. Other than her dhak-dhak which has come back recently she is not shown talking of her hurt , her confusion with anyone but Shyam in teh evry beginning. I was hoping that was the purpose of NK but they turned him into a contender.
That is why I say that it is too early for ArHi seperation or Shyam's truth to be revelaed coz Khushi is not in love yet. She is still trying to find out what Arnie means by his gift and Kyu . As you say her heart is open and Arnie will have to make the inroads. Once she undesratnds that there will be no turning back.
But hey we are at the mercy of the Cvs who can twist any possibility to a non event. The end goal is they being together so lets see how they get tehre.

You've just summarised everything perfectly...She's not dwelling on the Diwali incident, but has learnt from the past and has become more hesitant in opening her heart completely. Even though to his face she seemed aloof and nonchalant about the bangles, after he left her pure happiness shone through. Her excitement and gratitude at his thoughtfulness was a private moment for her, same with the acceptance speech.

She refuses to acknowledge any effect he has on her to other people or herself lest of all him. But now that Arnav is finally opening up towards her, I hope she understands this as a green signal and takes reassurance from it that it's ok to open her heart to him again.

I agree fully...she has let her guard down around him now...because if she hadnt, then she would have never accepted his bangles...or kissed him...or danced with him on sangeet night
So YES, KKG's heart is open for business again...r u listening Arnav...go beta...and strike your life long deal with it

She hasn't even spent a full minute thinking about the recent kiss by the pool leading me to believe that she is not the thinking kind at all.

She is all but ready to take the plunge and will do so wholeheartedly at the smallest behest of ASR, yes, the word is behest because she is not going to go out of her way pursuing ASR but will toe the line should ASR draw the line for her. He on the other hand is a bundle of nerves right now and isn't ready to concede to her.

Has she moved beyond Diwali kiss? I don't know. Has she moved beyond the hurt caused by ASR on various occasions, yes, she is willing to forgive him and is open to the idea of falling in love with him. The thought behind those bangles were enough for this trusting soul to start forgiving ASR.

I truly wish she would remind ASR of three things before she throws herself headlong.

1. I am still a woman of small status and meager means.
2. I am not a golddigger who wishes to net a rich husband
3. I can only love a person who believes true love can be found.

Great post!!

The last we saw her thinking of Diwali was after the dance...she was beyond confused...there was a lot of hesitance on her part after that...wanting him to stay away from her...she didn't understand what was happening to her...and your right...her heart opened up to him...and her feelings reemerged...although i'd say it never closed to him...but that she was just apprehensive when it came to feeling for him... she couldn't hate him no matter what he did...That has always been the case...

At this point i'd say that they both know whats there...but neither is ready yet...Khushi is still a little confused...and the more Arnav opens his heart up..the more she understands him..her feelings towards him...likewise Arnav is still battling with the demons of his past...the more Khushi gives him and shows him love...the more he will open up...it's really a two way track...there is still a long way to go...I really hope the cvs don't rush this and jump into the hate track

Hi,
you are right she does not think of the diwali incident right now, but I have a feeling that she will think about it when he is about to express his love? I think she should at least reflect on that incident before she declares her true love. Just my thoughts.
Anways, I do not usually comment here because my ipad doesnt allow me to post (maybe I dont know how to) but I do like to read your posts. Have a fun super bowl party...I am off to work in the ICU tonight ughhh

Good Post, Anu! Liked it! Agreed!

From Diwali to now, there has been various situations between them, where they have learnt so much about each other - Khushi trusting Arnav in difficult situations, Arnav knowing the truth behind the fashion show photoshoot and Arnav is now ready to do anything to make her happy! Both have grown from the hurt, he wants to see her happy and Khushi has started realizing it!

The sangeet episode was the turning point! Khushi missing him and almost admitting to him, that he meant a lot to her and him telling her 'What if I have lost you!' after the ambulance scene are big indications on how they really feel about each other and how they are equally in love with each other!

In fact what stood out to me, was the word 'Shukriya'! When Khushi uttered the word after the almost kiss in Diwali at her place, Arnav lashed at her and said, she did'nt mean a thing! After the sangeet, he walked up to her room and the first thing he asked her was won't you say thanks! and she said "Shukriya!" For me that moment was when they started moving forward past Diwali-hurt! Diwali is forgiven and forgotten between the two!

There has been many beautiful moments since then, which shows their love for each other!

Arnav smiled seeing Khushi wearing the bangles he got and I could see the first reciprocating glimpse of a smile from Khushi. The next moment was the argument about the bangles, where they argued with each other, but in the end realized they were agreeing - i.e. He accepting that he bought the bangles for her and she accepting, that she liked what he bought! It was the first tiny step towards confession!

Another reason, why I think Khushi is in love,- is that she is portrayed as a simplistic person. For her there are two states, the dhak-dhak and non-dhak-dhak! She is in love when she has dhak-dhaks and not otherwise! I am not joking! That's how simplistic Khushi is portrayed here! Why did we think Khushi got so hurt in Diwali, because we believed her dhak-dhaks to be love and hence she got hurt! And now she has gotten in back! So, she's in love! (I do wish for the monologues, but at this point CVs have made her love too simplistic!)

If I see a point of contention and hence restraint between them during this blossoming love phase, it would be the difference in perspective they have - Khushi believes in marraige and feelings! Arnav does not believe in marriage! Arnav is changing here too, but is not 100% clear! But I feel both are equally in love with each other! The beautiful moments of blossoming love may temporarily make them forget their differences, but during confession time, things will definitely come up!
