After Mami said the statement that Akash cannot marry a rejected girl, Payal was totally shattered and couldn't hear anymore. She decided that enough was enough. She knew in her heart that Mami would probably never accept her no matter how much she tried, so she decided that it was probably best to just end this matter here itself, by her backing out of this marriage. How long would her family keep on hearing Mami's taunts and insults regarding their status, just because of her? She couldn't let that happen. It wasn't even mami's fault, she said to herself. Any mother would want the best for their children and if mami did not find her to be the best, how could she just kill off a mother's dream? But Akashji, she thought.. What would he go through if he knew what she was just about to do. She strongly decided that she couldn't let her feelings towards Akash come in-between all this, she had to do this. It would be better for everyone.
Payal: Naniji, Anjaliji, Mamiji (everyone noticed that she said Mamiji instead of Saasuma which she usually did): I would like to tell you all something. Naniji: Yes bitiya (Nani's feelings toward's Payal did not change at all even after knowing the truth about her broken marriage as she knew the good values with which both Khushi & Payal had been brought up with.)
Mami: Now what more is left for you to say Khoon Bhaari tang
Nani: Manorama! Let her speak
Payal: Thank you naniji. I would just like to tell you that before agreeing to Akashji's proposal, I had told him about my broken engagement & had even asked him to tell all of you about it & untill yesterday I was under the impression that he had done so. I am not blaming him for what has happened today, however from all these events today, I have come to a conclusion.
She looked at Akash with teary eyes
Payal: I am backing out of this marriage
Akash (who was in the verge of crying himself): Payalji! NO! You cannot do this Payalji, No.. Naniji tell her
Everyone looked at Payal with shocked faces
Nani: Bitiya, don't come to conclusions like this. I trust you with my full heart and I know you've never had nor will have any bad intentions towards anyone. Don't worry, this wedding will definately take place, and everyone in this family will welcome you with our hearts.
