Barun Sobti is the best actor on Indian TV right now.Period! Heck he can give the big shots of Bollywood a run for their money if given the opportunity..This man never fails to astound me with his versatility..
ASR is a difficult character to play, a character that can only "click" with the viewers if the actor playing it is a seasoned one..There are so many facets to him, his rock hard exterior beneath which exists a heart that is still capable of feeling emotions, still capable of loving, and loving unconditionally, and yet, he guards that beautiful, pure heart of his with absolute vigour..He cares, but never shows that he does..ASR is not your typical angry young man and acting all high and mighty does not cut it when it comes to playing ASR..While you play ASR, you have be ruthless, cruel, merciless, the epitome of practicality for the outside world, you have to be caring, and affectionate when it comes to the one you love, you have got to flirt like your second nature when it comes to the love of your life..And Barun Sobti does all this with such finesse that he leaves me open jawed, marveling at just how talented this man is..But today, he crossed the bar he had himself set..I actually got goosebumps, my insides were churning, I was close to tears, when I saw the mighty ASR being reduced to a helpless, scared, broken man..Barun Sobti, I bow down before you! You deserve every single TV award for the best actor this year!👏
Now with that said and done, let us come to ASR..Today's episode should erase any doubt regarding whether or not he loves Khushi once and for all..I have seen posts here wondering if what exists between Arnav and Khushi is purely physical or is it something more? Arnav's reaction today while he thought Khushi had been harmed should put a stop to such queries for once and all..If this guy is not head over heels in love with Khushi, then I must have gotten the concept of love all wrong..
Look at how the calculative, sharp, intelligent ASR is reduced to a scared, shaken man fearing the worst just by seeing broken bangles and a solitary shoe..If he did not care for her deeply, then he wouldn't have assumed the worst immediately..He would have gone about figuring all this out in a calm manner, retracing his steps, looking at the evidence at hand again, thinking about the whole matter logically..But this was not ASR, the moment the possibility that Khushi could be hurt crept up, Arnav took over..Arnav who knows how to love with his heart and soul, Arnav whose love is all consuming, Arnav whose very reason of existence is Khushi now..❤️
He ran after that ambulance as if his life depended on it..Well it did, didn't it? For all he knew, his life, his Khushi, was being whisked away from him at that moment..The anguished cry of "Khushi!" sent shivers down my spine, such was the intensity of that moment..
When he saw the ambulance go out of his sight and he stood trembling all over, finding it difficult to breathe even let alone utter a single word, the tears prickling his eyes, threatening to spill over any moment, I got reminded of Anjali's words to him from all those days ago "Agar tum usse door gaye na, toh tumhari saanse rukne lagegi"..Her words have come true and how..The raw fear in his eyes, his broken demeanor, his restlessness, it all screamed out that living without her is no longer an option for him..He exists because she does..❤️
I loved how he thought back to the moment when he told her that her presence or absence doesn't make any difference to him..He was berating himself at that moment, hating himself for saying that to her..How could he tell the girl who was the very reason of his existence that she meant nothing to him?The man who doesn't believe in God or a supreme force was pondering on whether or not his words could have played a part in all this..He had died a thousand deaths, the possibility of losing her clawing at his insides..The mighty ASR all helpless, raw pain and anguish in his eyes, having trouble forming coherent words, scared like anything because the girl who now owns his heart might be in danger, now if that is not love then what is?
