After 9 months and exact 25 days, I watched an episode of Laagi tujhse lagan, had a rendezvous with life. The girl who used to wonder "jaane kahan gaye who din" is now humming "phir wohi raat hai, raat hai khawab ki"(raj, you were right and nimmi thanks for giving a chance)
25th march 2010
Opening scene
Episode starts with deshmukh (what a way to start *frustrated muh* ) getting mad at one of his minion saying that he isn't scared of dutta , will kill him blah blah blah, finally revealing that since dutta has slapped him that too in front of everyone he wants a revenge(must be someone else dude, mosquitoes like you can't survive dutta's slap). Finally his minion brings the convo to the main point by warning him that he should stop flesh trading as dutta can't stand it since it's against his principles . To which deshmukh reciprocates that women trafficking has money, and if dutta wants to be a saint he can but he isn't interested. The minion guy gives a final warning by saying bhau se panga will cost you a lot 👏(When was the last time I clapped for a sidey villain's minion😆) and gets a slap from deshmukh.
Now hold your breath ladies my beloved has arrived❤️. Dutta slides into the frame, with his left and right profile shot, his signature tune playing in background along with a trumpet like tune.(kudos to the DOP) Camera close up of dutta from front now, he looks at the camera for a moment with complete authority in his eyes (some body bring a doctor, it's an emergency, I'm about to faint😳) in the next moment brings his hands folded to his face level , closes his eyes and says "namaskar deshmukh sahab" in a "your time is over buddy" tone. Baaji joins the frame(duji sharing single frame, the former having a close up and later a long shot). The colour of deshmukh's face fading. Dutta bringing his hands down open his eyes, with a "lets play with the target for some time before it's doom arrives" expression and says "aapne hume yaad kiya hume toh aana hi tha"(I had to come since you remembered ) Baaji makes a exit from the frame. The colour of deshmukh's face completely drained. Once again the camera focus on dutta for a sec or two, this time lethal coldness completely overpowering his eyes. Mishal has managed to deliver a stupendous performance in such nano time span. (I know nothing new😆). Baaji takes off the main switch (God knows why😕) and asks dutta to attack by screaming "tod daal bhau" . Dutta being the eternal tod phod master instantly follows. Almost a blackout on the screen , with minimal amount of light just to make the audience figure out that dutta is doing full dhulai. Deshmukh baby till now completely forgotten about his revenge vows is begging for mercy from dutta. Suddenly a knife in back ground, and alas! Some one is hurt, who not clear(after watching the show umpteenth time, I guess you all know who) . Baaji instantly gets worried for his bhau on hearing a painful gasp. The sound of deshmukh's pleadings slowly fades away, implicating that he's dead and dutta did the honors.
[Honestly I still don't get the point behind the black out while the fight sequence, how did it helped in enhancing the scene quality or what kind of favor it did to the story line?. Also all the minions of deshmukh, where did they went. May be got scared and fled away but they should have shown them escaping. But, but, but Mishal with his eyes covered up all ]
Scene changes and sups and ravi on screen. Ravi informs sups that he has been sent to PN by some one(this "X" person ever remained a history *sigh*) who now wants sups to make dutta fall for her so when they elope he's left heart broken. ( a random guy asked your BF to make you cheat a don and you agreed, dam I can't even call you an idiot, idiots will be offended😡)
Scene again changed (thank god for that)
AS getting worried for dutta, naku comes out(innocence oozing out from her) of the kitchen holding a tray containing milk glass (OMG, mahi is looking so slim unlike now a days) . She asks AS to have milk since she hadn't had anything since morning(mahi's voice is sounding musically sweet) AS says that she can't as she's worried for dutta. Naku says "I understand" to which AS has a "Accha? You do?" expression Naku further says " Meri bhi saas ruki hai" (Me too is having baited breath) AS raises her eyebrow in a sweet manner. Naku says she prayed to his Bappa for saab.( there were strong chances that she may have realized the affectionate bond tasha shared, only if she hadn't been so busy with purohit jee😆) Proving that bappa has a instant response service for naku, Dutta enters wrapped in a shawl (he reminds me of Guru dutt, I felt that the very next moment he'll start singing "jaane woh kaise log the jinke pyaar ko pyaar mila"😆) killer looks btw😍. Naku has a "Ghar aaya mera pardesi" expression on her face. Dutta says "AS ye kaye" and assures her that he's alright while wiping her tears, and further adds that he's victorious. Naku constantly thanking bappa by looking up.AS asks naku to bring dinner to which he says "mala nako" (Now, the guy I'll marry must know to speak Marathi)As soon as AS retires ,dutta looks at naku for a moment. Now here this look can be a matter of debate, it had "look I'm fine" touch but at the same time it had a hint of expectation that his unspoken could be understood (according to me). He turns and blood drops could be seen on the floor. Dutta with a painful expression,. A mixed expression of anger and pain on his face , yet eyes extra ordinarily calm (Kudos to MR, it's not easy at all to have a different expression for face and a totally opposite expression for eyes at a same time ) Naku looks at the blood with a horrified expression.
[one question, does dutta keeps a shawl in his car for emergency purposes?😆]
Scene changes, baaji worried about dutta's wound wants to call a doctor, but dutta being dutta is more focused on work and ask baaji to go have a word with cop regarding deshmukh. Aah! The kind of authority and a slight hint of care freeness his tone had when he said "us inspector ko bol maine deshmukh ki file band kar di hai" He dismisses the idea of bringing a doc by saying that he don't want the family to get worried about the wound (jee aap itne acche kyun hain?😳). Baaji leaves but before leaving gives a "you're hopeless look to dutta". Dutta still loosing blood (I feel like filling my maang with it☺️😆) Naku comes, anxiety and worry evident from her face, looks at the blood and instantly holds the sofa in order to steadify herself .(I loved this gesture, was enough to show her concern)Dutta looks back at her(now, how did he realized that she came, heart to heart connection?). Dutta has a "I knew you'll come" expression. Naku with immense amount of innocence in her voice asks him that why did he went when she asked him not to go. Naku being naku not forgets to mention about sups being worried for him.(dutta with a "who's supriya" expression😆) Now comes the best part of the scene naku says" kuch ho jaata toh" (what if some thing happened to you). Any one, trust me any one can tell from this one line the girl is madly in love. Strange how couldn't dutta. But my bholu is quite nave in these matters so I'll give him benefit of doubt. Dutta asks her to bring the alcohol bottle , naku still in shock doesn't respond, dutta shouts again in an irritated tone (dam realistic😆) Naku brings the bottle and murmurs constantly complaining that how she has asked him not to go and he doesn't listens and all ( It really caught my attention that how in such immense pain too dutta didn't got mad at her, and was listening to her speech as if he's doing this for years). Dutta pours liquor to his wounds (I can't bear him in pain😭).pain evident from naku's face as if she can feel the pain he's having. Naku offers to do first aid and opens his cupboard to bring the kit as if it's her cupboard. Dutta says no need he'll manage, naku insists, dutta asks her to leave to which she refuges , Dutta fiercely glares at her (Dutta bhau is back). Naku turns to leave, but she being she, offers to help again, to which dutta irritatedly shouts "aye" in the same way one threats to a child. Naku again insists to help, dutta uses his ultimate weapon says " naku" in a "don't test my patience tone."
[a ten on ten tasha moment, only question, through out the scene tears were running down from naku's eyes, did dutta noticed and preferred not to react on them or he didn't noticed]
Ravi and sups. Ravi encouraging sups to go and trap dutta , further asks that she needs to win his trust by hook or by crook.
Dutta's den. Dutta fumbling with first aid kit (why does he keeps a first aid kit in the first place when all he has to do is treat his wound with alcohol) . Dutta tries to remove his kurta (is it only me who feels that while taking painful gasps he sounded like a injured lion?😳) He finally removes it. (to the disappointment of many, he's wearing a baniyan😆 ) The wound is looking quite real, I mean I know how they make a fake wound by taking help of colour and sketch pens and marker, yet it looked real to me, Mishal's magic is it?
Supriya comes, has a disgusted look on her face, the moment dutta notices her, it changes into "OMG you're hurt" (great job by riddhi).
