Kuch Hosh Nahi rehta.. Kuch dhyaan nahi rahta..
Insaan mohabbat mein.. Insaan nahi rehta..
Hosh waalon ko khabar kya bekhudi kya cheez hain..
Ishq keejay.. phir samajhiye.. Ishq keejay phir samajhiye..
Zindagi kya cheez hain...
Dedicating Nida fazli's words and Jagjit Singh's immortal voice to a girl... who grew up too young.. became a mother before becoming a daughter.. lived by the norms and duties of a grand-daughter.. basically a responsible buffering force in her domesticity.. and one fine day found a man who complemented her psyche.. rather supplemented it.. a dutiful responsible son of the family.. another buffering force who effortlessly kept everyone together..
what somewhere they both needed was an easy companionship.. where they did not have to be any of these things.. just for a few hours.. few moments in time.. and that's exactly what they got today.. in their honeymoon.. an accident, a serendipity that made the girl emanate out of the woman.. life made her too soon..
from the very beginning I was cracking up at Viren's tryst with Surat Singh.. his tumhe bhi pyaar hua hain na.. hain na.. đ tacker shone in his comic timing from the word go.. but then he is effortless but today KD took the cake... impeccable comic timing.. complementing her partner's.. I love the multidimensions in JV.. how subtle is their camaraderie.. there was a light comic feel to them today.. underplayed.. but extremely cheeky.. from the mocktail reference.. the reaction of J to Juice.. priceless.. i love how in the presence of this companionship Jeevika is ready to learn and experiment with things she has never heard of.. she just lets go and open up herself.. wanting to mould herself in Viren's life..
Life's humor this that the tropical orange turned out to be a screw driver.. our girl sipped it and found it obnoxious.. only to make sure..if it was that bad..I was cracking up at her reaction.. chuckling at the same time.. how extremely adorable was her gradual appreciation for the incorrigible taste.. đ turning to satiation on her face as she went on sipping from the straw...đ¤ŁKD WAS BANG ON.. Impressive comic timing.. and only when one thought it couldn't get better.. tacker joined in.. and the comedy became epic... it reminded me of the kheer chronicles.. lets just call it tale of a mocktail.. priceless action reaction of expression and bang on timing.. with the wat r u drinking.. y u dont like it.. i can have it.. no u wldnt.. oh ok then.. WAITERRRđ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł
now that's classical cheeky comedy.. amazing timing by both.. i loveddd the waiterrr KD was the star of the show today..
Khulti zulfo ne seekhayi.. mausamo ko shayari..
Jhukti aankhon ne bataya.. mehkashi kya cheez hain..
Ishq keejay phir samajhiye.. zindagi kya cheez hain..
talking of JV flavors.. the very next minute as Jeevika lets lose and Viren transforms to the guardian... amused by the dimensions in his girl he never got to witness... Jeevika was a riot.. she was charateristically uncharcteristic.. Her VirenJI chup karo.. had me spill my coffee.. 𤣠like even in her inebration she cant let go of the JI.. but she does feel like flying.. living a moment in time as a free bird.. just as Jeevika.. not Chawdhry.. not Wadera.. as she takes to the sand.. with her rhythmic folk rendition.. KD again shone here.. Folk needs a certain rhythm and agility which the girl had and to add to it a perfect sense of beats.. icing being her grace.. and the soft expressions complementing the rhythm in her movements..
She drank like a seagull... flew like a pigeon.. and in the end danced like a peacock.. and through all of it her amused husband affectionately looked on.. and the sequenced gained epic proportion as Jeevika's rhythmic movement met Viren's dancing eyes.. following each beat.. each melody just with his eyes.. and the amused affection.. What actors these two.. simple little scenes are made surreal just by their portrayal.. And the crescendo when Viren joins in the moment of freedom.. from the bounds of sanity.. clearly playing a non-dancer.. but extremely cute in his attempt to match his wife's steps.. In the end all i can say is IT DOES TAKE TWO TO TANGO...
I end this long rant by commending Krystle Dsouza for grabbing this opportunity of scratching another facet.. and delivering a class act.. what can I say about this girl apart from just quoting the line from the song.. they played for her..
Dam se hain tere ye roshni.. hi pori kona chi..
Jiski Ada mera dil le gayi.. hi pori kona chi..
In translation..
Where was this lass who shone.. (thro' the whole episode..)
Where was this lass.. whose antics blew our mind..
She was always there in the demure, shy and dutiful Jeevika.. she just found wings.. away from home.. in the arms of her beloved husband..
Curtain closes..
