3 months passd,
Maan was still working from home.He never let anyone into Geet's room without his permission. The smallest of her needs were met by him with utmost care.He took her out for their romantic evening walks...making it a point that she never ate anything from outside. Chefs of all cuisines were appointed at KM to satisfy her cravings.
And from Geet's point of view,
Geet: dadima bas ek ap hi ho jo meri baat sunti ho.Maan pe to pata nhe kya bhut sawara he.. Bas baby ki fikar he unhe..matlab mujhe bhi he. Lekin..ab kal shaam ko hi dekhiye..walk par leke gaye kaise? Aise(imitating him) muh phulake..
Dadima(laughing):arey beta to ap hi Maan se baat karo. Wo khud to kuch nhe bolenge.
Geet:dadima wahi to karti hu me! Wo to bas 'hmm..' 'umm..' karte he. Wo bhi chodo kal mene chaatwale se ek baar! Bas ek din golgappe kya mangvane ko bola..unke gusse ki jwalamukhi phat gayi Geeet..ye street foods unhealthy hote he! Not good for u!
Dadi: wo apke bhalai ke liye to keh rhe he beta
Geet: ha dadima. Lekin ek din golgappa khane se kya ho jayega? Aur chaatwale se khane ka maza ghar me thodi milega?
Dadi:ha ha! ye baat bhi sahi he. Maan bhi na!
Geet nodded in agreement.
Just then Maan came there
Maan: meri baat ho rhe he?
Geet pouted her lips and lukd away.
Maan:dadima dekhiye. Ek golgappe ke liye ye kal raat se mujse baat nhe kar rhe!
Geet: dadima ap to jaanti he na..
Dadi:ek min! Ap dono ko fight karna he? Great! Ji bhar ke kariye. But keep me out of this!
With that she left.
Geet lukd at Maan from the corner of her eyes.
Maan: Geet..Dont luk away like that..i will die for sure!
Geet: Maan! (her eyes filled up) khabardar agar apne dobara aise kaha to!
She hugged him hiding herself in his chest.
Maan(smiled): U are being too cranky these days jaan!
Geet:cranky? Me?
She took the pillow and started beating him.Maan took another one and counter-attacked her.The pillows were soon thrown away and they were tickling and giggling in each others arms.
Maan moved the strands of hair that were teasing her cheek. She closed her eyes anticipating him to move closer.
He watched her lovingly as she was craving for his touch...He closed the distance by locking her lips with his.She ran her hand through his hair...His hands moved all over her back caressing her...and the kiss went on and on as if they never wanted to part...
So happy were they in their little world clueless of the storm that was about to hit them.
They parted as Nakul knocked at their door. Geet frowned. Maan smiled and patted her cheeks. He opened the door.
Maan:kya baat he Nakul?
Nakul: wo..Adi sir apka wait kar rhe he.keh rhe the kuch zaruri baat karni he.
Maan:ok. I am coming.
As he was about to leave,
Geet: can i join u Mr.Khurana?
Maan: shona,u need rest. Why would you stress yourself? Me hu na!
Geet: Maan,i am bored. And i promise,i wont stress myself. I will help you thats it!
Maan: as you wish, Mrs. Khurana!
Later they left for downstairs.
Maan: kya hua Adi?
Adi:M..Maan sir..wo..
Maan:wat?
Adi: Sir, Khurana Industries ke sarey deals ko freeze karte hue court order aya he!
Maaneet were shocked! Maan was furious. He held Adi by collar.
Maan: wat r u blurting out? How could anyone even dare to think like that? Its MY life, MY pride! I had shed every drop of my energy working for this! How could anyone shut it down just by a stay order?
Geet: Maan calm down. Itna gussa mat kariye!
Maan: I will kill him Geet! Ansh! He is behind all these!
Adi:no sir. Actually its Dev sir who got the stay order.
Maan sank back on the couch. Geet put her hand over his shoulder comforting him. He didn't speak a word more. Adi didn't know what to do. Geet was ordering the servants to bring water for Maan.She was worried about his broken state.
Dadima was hearing all these from a distance.She came near Maan.
Dadi: Maan! Ap hi aisey himat haar gaye to humara kya hoga? I will consult our lawyer.We will do something.
As she was about to leave, Maan held her hand.
Maan:no need dadima. I am not upset about this money or business! But the truth that i could never be a good brother is what that is killing me! Whats the matter that Dev had to go this level! He moved to court...Aisey kya baat he jo ghar ke andar hum baat nhe kar paaye?
Geet: Maan! Dnt think like that. You are a great brother.. See after all that happened,you are still not angry at your brother!
Maan: I should have talked to him earlier.Its high time!
Dadi: Nakul, Dev aur NT ko yeha bulao abhi!
Suddenly they saw NT climbing down the stairs crying.
Geet: what happened NT?
NT: Bhabhi..(she hugged Geet crying) Dev ab pehle jaise nhe rhe! He has changed a lot! He wont even hesitate to kill anyone for money!
Dadi:par hua kya?
NT: Dadima..wo..(she kept on crying) i would have behaved rudely to you and Geet. But i would never do anything that can cause disgrace to our family...lekin Dev..
All of them lukd at him shocked as Dev,' Yes i got those stay orders!'
Maan:but why?
Dev: bcoz of U! I dont want to be a slave to YOUR family. You,Your wife and after sometime your bloody kid!
Maan(roared): DEV!
Dev: No! I will talk today! Why is it that only you are branded as a KHURANA! Media,Clients,Parties everywhere! People only want to know about Maan Singh Khurana! And wat do i have? A tag of 'MK's brother' !
Dadi: thats bcoz of his hard work!
Dev: no! Thats bcoz of money! People respect him bcoz of money. I too want that! After all i am also a Khurana's blood! I am not a step-son!
Dadi: U are NOT a KHURANA! You are a step-son Dev! And thats why today u showed your true color! Your are not my Suchitra's son! A filth like you cannot take birth from the same womb as that of my Maan!
Geet lukd at dadima and then at Maan who nodded for a yes!
