So here I am with detailed Summary/dissection/Thesis ..
The scene opened with NK still clinging on to the lay's chips determinedly, the crackling sound irritating Arnav ,,He closes his Laptop decisively, removes himself from the presence of annoying mosquito called NK ...Contrast this same Arnav who refused to budge from the hall when he was making a phone call whilst Khushi was banging on the pounder in the kitchen ..what different reactions !!.. if his actions now are that of a sane and logical man, his earlier reaction was pure emotion..an urge not to lose in front of HER !!

With Akash expressing his desire to see Payal, The scene shifts to Pool Side, ostensibly the Brother's n arms retire to the pool so that members don't eavesdrop on their plotting..Loved the sequence here when NK graciously orders Arnav to continue his work and Nanav just glares, bites his lips and continues to work instead of incinerating NK with his glare .. the serious discussion of meeting Payal is completely sidelined as it gets into the realms of Hindi Lyrics which is butchered mercilessly by NK.. A studious Akash tries to correct NK, realizes the impossibility of it and asks NK to forget it..NK does so by literally plucking the idea from his head and throws it out using his hand **Karan was too good in this sequence and also it is my belief that both Barun and Akshay were trying to control their laughter during their interaction with NK ** ..
Then begins the plans to meet Payal, each one shot down by the clinical, Analytical mind of Arnav , A nettled NK vengefully asks for Arnav's idea..Arnav offers his own idea which is simple, straightforward, to the point , with the scope for being fully successful but bereft of even one atom of romance, which in turn is shot down by a romantic NK [ Barun and Karan were on fire at this sequence, esp the quick shake of Barun when NK comes up with another plan & the gritting of his jaw when NK thinks of calling up Khushi while Karan's neighing laughter was worth listening ] ..NK calls up Khushi and mistakenly thinks that Khushi is expecting to see him ..All thoughts of helping Akash flies out of the window and his immediate thought is how to see Khushi himself without Akash tagging.. So Nk Makes another plan ...
NK pretends to have succumbed to Jet Leg [ And here I was thinking it was jet lag đ ] advices Akash to obey the elders ..Akash seems to be taken in by NK's illness but Arnav is not , his narrowed gaze realizes that all is perfect with NK but he has not fathomed the reason for jetleg ...The Cv's quite nicely used Buaji NandKishore to get Nk into thinking that Khushi wants to meet him while at the same time they gave a glimpse that although ASR might have mellowed he still has not lost his razor sharp wit and also paved a clear , logical way of Arnav getting involved wily-nily in the plot ..
Khushi ..Full of confidence, trust , absolute faith on Arnav !! His prophecy that SHE will find a way of popping in front of him at the destined hour sends her into tizzy , eager to thwart his prediction but terrified that Arnav will be proven right ...Poor Gurl !! does not realize that she can hide underground but come the chosen hour, Arnie boy will be standing in front of her ...
I understand that Shyam's presence sends our BP soaring but I find him quite interesting and intriguing..Tody we got a glimpse into Anjali-Shyam courtship days.. How he did all those romantic things etc etc and rather illuminating was his statement that there is a definite pleasure in breaking the law !! A clear hint that he did not turn rotten but he was rotten and rotten at the core , the only difference is now that rot is spreading ..Can the rot be stymied, can he go back to those days when he was foolish enuf to climb pipes just to meet Anjali ..God Knows...but This Young man has traveled too far into the darkness , while earlier he was involved in hastening a death [ Bauji] now he is planning deliberately to kill someone ...I am happy that they are escalating Shyam's evilness.. I also wish that CV's build the momentum and end Shyam's track instead of slacking off again and keeping Shyam in the background again !!
Summing up ... Akash, NK, Anjali, Arnav/Khushi ...sabki Barrah Bajne waali hai !
