Today's episode was a classic display of arrogance, only it wasn't Arnav's arrogance, but khushi.

The complete disregard for a person's wishes, the deliberate hijack of another person's efforts and the constant spiel of "What i do is right for my sister and family" sounds familiar ? for weeks and months ASR has been criticised for this, but is khushi any different ?

she started off on the wrong foot...she taunted him repeatedly about his poor party organization skills ! she even made a dig at his diabetes and used it as a supposed clever pun...humor in poor taste...anyone rem the aukat series ? well this is reverse placement...if he deserved brickbats so did she...

My main peeve point stems from the fact that, even at the end of it all...there is no remorse or even the slightest regret at her actions. Infact, she was made the victim and Arnav the fool. She still feels justified at it all...and clearly believes that if anyone is wrong its him. She doesn't get when she oversteps boundaries or when is in the wrong.

Arnav has never invaded her personal space so strongly earlier. He behaves like the perfect gentleman whenever around her family and shows unbelievable restraint to most of her antics.

This isn't the first time kkg is doing this. Boardmeetings, family functions, business trips, conferences...nothing deserves respect...nothing is beyond disturbing and naivety and goodness of heart is often used as the primary emotion. Yes, khushi is naive, she probably thinks shes doing good. But how many times is the same excuse going to be used ?

And the way they showed her gloating at the end of the drama...glorifying the act !! i thought it was shoddily done. Today was less about her concern for payal, and more of her desire to prove Arnav wrong. Even payal looked mildly disturbed at the complete hijack ! but such emotions were never completely explored ! the track just switched to him being the villain.

Khushi and her gumption and her spunk were some of the characteristics i loved about her. Showing him up when hes wrong, is good. But the display of arrogance and then playing the victim, was not the khushi i fell in love with.

A lot of you could disagree, and there could be immense debate on this. But one things for sure, Arrogance is the only thing thats common between Khushi and Arnav,. If his behaviour is offensive, so is hers...and probably this is what makes them the perfect couple Well, maybe.

We lost our Kushi !
Why should I refrain myself from calling Kushi a character dheela ?

She proved her to be the most insensitive female !

CVs cannot butcher her character further more !

Great post !!!! Ur absolutely right...First of all I think it was all nonsense to show people enjoying lassi and jalebi. I myself is a big fan of khushi style parties (dancing and all) but still here it did not make sense. Just the Cvs have to put khushi's dance segment and prove ASR wrong, they showed rich business class people enjoying lassi instead of coctails. The segment was very unreal. She was doing something for her sister or not but one thing is sure she sabotage somebody's party. ASR was definitely rude with her and I like one thing that Khushi answered him back but still like u said at the end Khushi was made self sacrificing heroine and ASR, a fool.

Hiya Priye...

I m jus venting out in possible avenues...

I m amused with this...It was not self less...clearly she was selfish while she sabotaged the party for herself n her sister!

And long ago there were posts abt CV's glorifying ASR's arrogance, man handling...blah...blah...
but how about glorifying ill manners, insensitive and tampering...at least ASR was regretting aftr all those...but she was playing victim after her act?! I have no sympathy for her!
And making fun of his diabetes...the only occassion in which her lub oozes out is when she jumps "inhe meetha manaa hai " or sad/guilt expressions while ASR and sweet in same frame with her...
Nw I have no hopes...

Ultimately, watever the female lead does, she s always right!

It was shown today that she wanted to get another one over on Arnav and prove she is always right and that he is wrong and less about making Payal comfortable.

Payal's initial reaction to the dance was of shock and embarrassment...

And to say that the only reason she did this was for Payal's benefit...Well that's sweet enough, but Payal never asked her to come nor did she hint that she needed her to come.

It is to be expected Payal would be uncomfortable...That was one of the reasons she was scared of marrying Akash...The difference between the two worlds they live in. Khushi can't keep babysitting Payal all her life...And Khushi needs to realise this. ASAP.

HI Priya,
I totally agree and this is exactly what i have been saying since I saw the precap yesterday. The CVs have to move these charaters along and show them growing up.
This has become such a repitive cycle of both acting immature and attacking each other. Arnav becomes the handy villian as he spits fire and she the innocent victim when it is her who instigates most of the situations.
She does not stop to show Arnav the mirror so very often I wonder who will do the same for her. Not sure what upcoming scenario will make her realise that he medlesomeness is dangerous and there are boundaries in life. I do not like All IS WELL wrapped around in childish ness.
A bit frustrating and yes arrogance unlimited...

@Priya - I think you were far too gentle with her.

She actually taunted him in public about his diabetes ?? I am still in shock over that.
Madam Khushi Martyr Gupta was a total crass, insensitive, self-righteous prig today.

Hey, how about we bring La back to teach her some sanskar?
