Has everybody gone of their rockers lately? The CV's by virtue of one silly episode has managed to polarize this already very divisive and conflict ridden forum even more. I just could not believe the amount of vitriolic rubbish that was being written here. There was enough acid in many comments to clean the oceans dry of marine flora and fauna life. Some even made Ekta Kapoor's soap Villains look like Babes in the wood. Some of the catty remarks and mean-spirited comments whether it is about the male or female protagonist really made me feel very sad and sick inside.

It's a soap we all love to watch but at the end of the day that is all it is ' a figment of some smart yuppie(s) with one eye on the market pulse and the other on ad revenues that dictates the scripts that have to be churned out to suit the TRP graph. But our behavior is a reflection of who we actually are and that is something we project in our day to day life

It scares me that some here are nave, superficial and shallow enough to think that just because a chap knows how to pronounce his words rightly, dons a suit, has a cultivated air about him and is good looking to boot makes him an infallible Adonis who can do no wrong. Just because he said sorry to a couple of people and shed a couple of tears in the process do not make him an oh so loveable romantic who can be forgiven for all his past transgresses and they maliciously criticized her and literally tore her character to bits almost as if she was their foe and rival for his love and attention.

Conversely for those who think she is such a darling for her mad cap antics and questionable wit, the female protagonist really has to evolve and stop interfering and pushing her own ideas. Where has the original spunky sassy girl gone? It does not make her adorable when she barges into other folks business, upsets plans or behaves worse than a 2 year old. She is supposed to have 3 rivals vying for her affections well then she better act the part for even Sham might at the end of the day decide Anjali is a far more better choice. Right now she is oozing as much sex appeal as a cactus to a moth and the less said about her peevishness the better.

Reality Check

So many wrote in various posts about how this was a high society sort of shindig and how her behavior is so crass, well from what I saw of the episode hardly anything qualifies it as that. Nobody bothered over the dress code including the host of the party I heard no jazz music and certainly all the liquor that was being served were being done so in the wrong glasses so whatever accusations that are being leveled at how the classiness of the party is being spoiled are purely a figment of the imagination of an over productive mind and their fantasy interpretation of the party for nothing that was written so whiningly was clearly visible on the TV screen.
The cv's and the technical support not to mention the director has to tighten production values for the coming year as the mistakes are becoming more and more glaringly obvious with each passing episode. To give the devil its due Ekta's soaps USP were the lavish settings dresses and jewellery which if I am not mistaken often set a fashion trend for a while. Here it looks more like skid row millionaire vs. shop girl and it is certainly not a treat for the eyes.

I know that these episodes are a ploy to move on to bigger and better story line but the way the CV's are going about it makes me wonder if their own bipolarity is not getting reflected on the scripts and plots. It is almost as if there are a bunch of folks writing the dialogues and each cannot make up their mind as to how the character has to behave and frankly it is getting to be a bit tiresome every time they decide to add a new element of drama, it is like placating a puppy dog by throwing some scraps of food before its incessant whimpering gets out of hand. We play right into their hands every single time they decide to change the course of the story and the qualities of the lead roles.

I implore all members in the spirit of the season to cease this bias and ugly talk and let us have some peace for the next few days and if you don't like what I have written then please don't direct your anger at me but ignore it.

I just wish for some peace and quiet here in the forum at least until the New Year and making coming here to read a pleasure till then or is that too much to ask?

Good points, no doubt..the director has a FB page and he is happy to take suggestions. If you don't mind me saying so why don't you write about their inconsistencies on his page. At least it will give him some idea. I know they do IF pages as well but that is more direct...just an idea

well said ... but i think the forum will get better with the progression in arhi relationship. i think the cv's are dragging their relationship... just as the arhi are take 1 step forward cv's make them take 2 steps back. i think the cv's know what they are doing. but i think while we over analyze every episode to microscopic details they are thinking of stories in terms of months not days. lalit mohan has said that rabba ve is coming back so i think their will be movement in the story. sometimes even i get frustrated ... but im glad for the slow progression i dont want them to get married too soon its frustrating but i think the drama keeps us all on the edge of our seats. i know sometimes there are heated debates but that is what is good abt arhi. they are both gray which makes them realistic... we dont want the perfect desi girl and the dreamboat indian man that we all know does not exist in reality... so lets try to keep it fun while we go crazy thinking will they... or wont they...

Well said. 👏
For me, both ASR-Khushi need to grow up, the lack of BASIC conversation and civility in these two pisses me off to an unimaginable extent. It's like one minute they're yelling, shouting and the next you see them crying and stuff. They're acting like two kids, actually worse than them. Although yeah, Khushi def needs more maturing, cause at present the CVs are just portraying her as the girl who does not think. They're clearly mistaking the "bubbly" and "cute" aspect of her personality for a loud, OTT, immature KID. In showing her headstrong, they're making her look irritating. If they have to show how headstrong she really is, I'd appreciate if that reflected in her way of dealing with the Shyam issue.
In showing how full-of-life she is through her dance and drama at the party, they're forgetting that she's just looking interfering, and appears mannerless breaking into the party without an invitation like that.

I'm totally with you abt the pathetic production values. Heck they couldn't even rent a new set for the party. The theme had absolutely NO use, ASR didn't bother adhering to the theme himself. Everything abt the party was plain tacky, from those guests, their outfits to the whole atmosphere. You're so right abt shows actually starting fashion trends, but the producers of this show seem least interested in spending a decent amt of money even on an occasion like a wedding.

You are so right.

The CV's seem to be changing storylines to suit their whims that cause inconsistencies that we the viewers fall into the same trap again again and again.

Nice post.

Agree completely wih your post about both characters and the forum.
Its such a shame. This used to be one of the nicest forums to come to but unfortunately its become so divisive lately with fans defending their favourite character so much and putting the blame on the other with such negativity, that it scares me to even read some of the posts and comment.
I like both characters and I can see flaws in both of them. And as far as Im concerned, with the progression of the story will come better understanding between the protagonists and they will learn to love each others weak and strong points not use them to hurt each other.

Good post !!
Bashing is terrible but i think criticising the characters should be done positively.A forum is not only for praising. But what surprises me some fans just cant take crticisms and think that its bashing and bash the members who criticised.Everyone can voice thier opinion decently doesnt matter whether the comment is negative or positive. But no bashing ofcourse.
