The reigning Khan commits to do a movie with Subhash Ghai in October 2012

With three films - Bodyguard, Dabangg and Ready - being some of the highest grossers in Hindi film history, Salman Khan can now command and get any price he wants or any project he deigns.

But Salman, the good Samaritan, prefers to stand by his family and certain others he personally wishes to bail out of difficult situations. And the trade gupshup is that Subhash Ghai just got lucky.

News has it that in October 2012, Salman will be doing a movie with Ghai. It is also being said that AR Rahman, who has scored music for Ghai in the past, will in all likelihood associate with this project too.

Ghai confirms, "Salman has given me a commitment. The film will go on floors on October 24 next year."

The filmmaker, who made a host of memorable movies like Karz, Ram Lakhan, Taal, Khalnaayak and Vidhaata went downhill with Kisna and Yuvraaj. But he is confident that with Salman backing him, he can once again find his bearings.

Says he, "Salman is a man of heart. He had assured me that whenever I have a script he likes, he will be there for me. I have got the basic idea of my next film past him. He is a braveheart, and I think the film we do together will be very successful. Salman is my pillar of strength and support."

November 19, 2011, (Sawf News) - Salman Khan and John Abraham, who recently reconciled after being at loggerheads for years, buried their hatchet for good by cavorting to music from Desi Boyz on the set of Bigg Boss at ND Studios in Karjat on November 19. The heart warming turn of events took place when Desi Boyz co-stars John and Akshay Kumar appeared on the set of Bigg Boss, co-hosted by Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, to promote their upcoming film that releases in theaters on November 25. Salman recently agreed to put the past with John behind probably at the behest of friend Sanjay Dutt. The reconciliation started when Salman visited Dutt on the set of Desi Boyz at Mehboob Studios a while back. John, who too was on set, greeted Salman with a smile and initiated a conversation to which Salman readily responded. Salman and John are not just declaring peace, they appear set to become thick friends, going by the admiration that John has for him. Quizzed on why he was not on Twitter, John responded, "I would love to join Twitter, but if I become active, I will be more on the social side. It's only about using the medium properly. I don't believe in actors, who just read philosophical quotes and tweet. For me, the most interesting quotes are of Salman Khan and Abhishek Bachchan." The appearance of Desi Boyz Akshay and John on set, alongside hosts Salman and Sanjay, will be an exciting brawnfest for Bigg Boss viewers, but they have even more excitement coming their way, in the form of Adult filmstar Sunny Leone, a Canadian of Indian origin who was originally named Karen Malhotra.

You may think Sunny is appearing on Bigg Boss, known to pay guest celebrity inmates well, to make easy money, mindful that she usually makes her money the "hard" way, but Sunny says she has other reasons. She wants people to realize she isn't the cliched 'adult star'. "I grew up in a regular Indian household; I've been taught to be a good person. I want Indian people to know that. And I've always been interested in Bollywood, so with this show, I might get good roles in Hindi films," she says.

"I am going to attempt to bring some humor and much-needed glamour into the house - something that is currently lacking. Through Bigg Boss, I would like to try to improve my Hindi and learn to cook some great Indian food. Bigg Boss is my attempt to connect with the Indian audiences and show them that I am just as conservative as they are regardless of the career path that I have chosen."

I'm really missing Salman. 😭 Why doesn't he come back on BB5? It was so much fun the other episode especially when he admonished Siddharth for his bad behaviour. Bravo! 👏
