Idea of lovely to ask her friend to throw a fuljari on her saree to create fire...So kartik would save her and forgive her...What kind of immature and irresponsible thinking-behavior is this??
What will happen the day kartik or family finds out?? She put not only her own life in danger but teaching young kids to do such to get attention???

Why r CVs showing stupid things as such?
What do u all think? pls share your thoughts...
Was it right of Lovely to ask her freind to do something this sort???

I agree...this was shocking. It is showing Lovely as emotionally unstable, that she is a person who is willing to manipulate Karthik into showing her affection by putting herself on fire. Cry Wolf... The story writers of this show are truly making us feel that all these characters are crazy ---which may be real life as well. But man, taking the risk of getting whole body burns (fire is completely unpredictable and scary) just to get her husband to forgive her. The next time he gets mad, what she is going to do then? Oh dear...
The other thing that is bothersome about Lovely is she has this attitude that she knows best ultimately. So in Ria's case and Lucky's case, she doesn't care what trouble she gets them in, she wants, what she wants and thinks she is right. The way that she phrased it to the Bhabhi's -- that they were wrong too for what happened to Lucky --- was right, but she said it in an accusatory way which makes it hard for the listener to accept and hear.
What are these serial writers doing?! It is getting hard to have sympathy with anyone in this serial at this point...perhaps the only one left is Babusa for now :)...

Maasa's character reading of Lovely is right. She is little better than an overgrown child. Even Bittuji shows more responsibility. It is kudos to Maasa's upbringing that a person like Bittuji can be trusted to go to and assist in a shop or be given the responsibility of raising a child. Lovely on the other hand is oblivious of consequences of her actions. She has no concept of what it is like to live in a family or to care about anyone other than her own desires.

The way she has been manipulating Kartik from the beginning is irksome. I was livid with her when she fired that rocket in the neighbor's house and simply shrugged her shoulders. The attempt to burn herself was the final act of a series of follies. It would've served her right if hse had burnt her hand or legs and been made to suffer the consequences of her own unthinking behavior.

I completely agree with everyone's comments above here. I just watched the last episode and was totally grossed by it; makes me want to dislike her character completely...I feel these petty things trump the little good she does and just makes her disgusting! Arrgghhh...!

I agree completely. This is why I've always been against Lovely's lies cos she just doesn't understand. She acts like a stubborn little kid all the time. She wants everything to go her way, which is fine in her little bubble. But it doesn't always work.

Right from the word go - first she insulted Karthik and his parents and realized she loves him so waited all night for him got sick and made him accept his love. Then she knew Maasa didn't like her lies yet she kept lying while Karthik was trying to get round his mother. Obviously didn't work and Lovely decided to take over. She basically forced him to marry her - sorry I know a lot of people don't agree with this but that is how I saw it. She came off desperate - going to his house over and over despite Karthik refusing. Even when she lied that she wanted to see him for the last time - she played with his emotions. Poor guy was feeling so bad yet this girl was enjoying every moment of it. She kept calling her friend to see if her parents found out or not and what not. Even her friend is just as bad as her. Anyway, when all parents asked, in my POV, Karthik was actually trying to save Lovely's nose by accepting he did everything, clearly he loves her more. It was so easy for her to forget all this and expect Karthik to be nice to her - I thought Karthik was right when he told her to wait. He didn't have to say until his mother approves, he should know she won't anytime soon given Lovely's tactics.

Now Karthik is irritating too. How does he actually expect this girl to stop lying over night when that is all shes been doing all her life? And then sulking - childish. If anything they are behaving like little kids. I know alot of people see Karthik as spineless for not standing up to his mother for his wife. But how can he when she keeps behaving like this? She lies for every little thing - and I'm sorry but it's not justified or cute. Real people lie, but not all the time, for everything. It's morally wrong. A lie said for someone's good is better than a thousand truths - but what good was in this? She was being selfish, irresponsible and immature. Just cos she couldn't get to him the right way she chose the wrong way and lied. Eventually Karthik will find out - is he still going to be called spineless if he stops talking to her and refuses to accept her?

I don't find Karthik spineless, I find him irritating. Too good, for my liking. He knows Lovely is wrong and what her problem is but expects her to change just like that. It really isn't going to happen. She does something good and then does something like this an completely ruins everything! Maasa is right to say what she says about her. Lovely hasn't really done anything to prove otherwise. She blames her lying on her parents and not getting love/attention - is she not getting that from Karthik? Or his dad? Why is she still lying at every point? Why is she trying to come off so desperate? I honestly have no idea what CVs are trying to show in this serial, the main lead is immensely flawed, which is fine I guess cos no one is perfect but this portrayal of Lovely is completely wrong.

Some posts here suggest that Maasa has been right to treat Lovely in the way that she has - and I completely disagree. Maasa has *bullied* Lovely from the day she entered the house and that is wrong. It doesn't matter the situation, no one has a right to abuse another human being. Maasa has some redeeming qualities, no doubt, but she IS a bully, she bullies everyone of her bahus, most of all Lovely. That is not to be justified just because Lovely has also made mistakes.

Hey, sorry if my post came accross as such - however I said I do agree with what Maasa thinks/says about Lovely. Her judgement of Lovely is right but I don't agree with what she does. She comes accross very spiteful and I don't see the point if you're living altogether. There are so many joint families that are doing well because everyone tries to understand each other and help each other - I think that's what should've been shown in here, its what the audience want to see. I think this whole mother-in-law being a bully, torturing her daughter-in-laws, having favs is such a old and boring track - it was funny when it started off but then lost its flavour quickly as Maasa doesn't seem to wanna budge at all. She clearly favours Gehna over all the other bahus and it seems they all know this - not a very healthy trait for a joint family.
And with the sons, Karthik was her favourite, but all of a sudden she became hostile with him - from what I've seen (in real life), no matter how angry a mother is, she ALWAYS gives in to her children, she can't be angry with them for too long. The scene where he comes home at night all wet and how she took care of him - that was so nice... But they haven't showed any nice scenes between her and the sons after that. Or even her and her grand-children. I don't get it, she's always telling them go finish this or go do that but I've not seen any scenes where she sits and talks to them or listens to them or anything.
I have no idea what they're trying to prove with this serial - there seems to be no moral/ethical point to this show!
