I am a doctor and I can tell you that Arnav is definitely Type 1 Diabetic (insulin dependent) and that if had not taken his insulin that day his blood sugars should have been sky high. But if he had not eaten all day (which diabetics need to eat at certain intervals) then they can have hypoglycemia. What if he had taken his last insulin at bedtime and didnt eat anything in the morning and didnt take insulin either in the morning? Then surely he would be hypoglycemic. But yes you guys are right that most of the time Type 1 Diabetics are in DKA (Hyperglycemic with ketoacidosis).

hey im a med student so just to clear ur doubt.wat u based ur argument on is absolutely right but arnav suffers from type 1/juvenile diabetes in such cases people may br prone for hypoglycemia(low blood sugar levels) in cases of improper food intake or when body demands for energy increase.this condition is called diabetic coma/shock.the imediate treatment for diabetic shock is to ingest glucose or other sugars.
