I'm sure this guy has NO self-respect. Compared to this clip, his howlarious scenes on the CT show are so much more "dignified" now that I think about it. :P

While looking for that clip, I had the misfortune of stumbling across the Shravan-Saachi version of the KKHH gazebo scene. Ugh. Kaise kaise shows aaj kal ban rahe hain. No originality whatsoever!
I wanna read a good book. Any suggestions?

Me too...I mostly read it for the characters though I end up remembering the cases too. I loved Purity...well packed...from Feeney and McNab getting hurt to Roarke bringing Jamie in and Eve butting heads with the media liaison and Franco...oh and Mavis getting pregnant...lol..and oh the ending was a cherry on the cake...I loved how she trapped Franco. Portrait was good...for the first time we see Roarke vulnerable, him losing balance. And I love Summerset and Eve's relationship...all with their pithy comment contest😆...they love each other in their own way, though they would rather get run down by a bus than admit it. 😆 Yeah, I love Summerset and Eve - both too stubborn to admit it but bound to each other by their love for Roarke. I love how she deliberately leaves her car in the front of the house and drops her jacket randomly around the house because she knows how much he loves to tell her off 😆 Summerset is one of my fave characters - his dry wit and poker-straight face make me laugh.
Sweet Revenge is nothing like Honest Illusion...it's actually a bit out of pattern NR book in many ways. And of course those skirting-on-the-edge-of-the-law heroes make it worth your while 😛 I didn't like Birthright much but yeah Blue Smoke was nice. I love the scene where Bo and Reena met and Bo's all 'There you are!' 😆 Yeah, and she thinks he's a complete mad man 😆...and he's like, "I'm in love with you after one glimpse"...what I love is how their relationship develops after that. She doesn't just fall for him because he is in love with her...she actually mocks his love-at-first-sight theory but ends up drawn to him anyway. I love Reena's mum, too...love NR's depiction of Italian familia.

Well all soaps copy sequences from movies...the problem is that these chindi actors can't even BEGIN to bring CLASS to the scene or match up in terms of acting...it's just lame hawtness attempts so I'm just left rolling my eyes watching them.
Ok well you can read the new SEP novel I guess then...I think I read GG or Vasu mentioning it a few days back...I'm yet to read it myself...but I guess it's out...I'm not sure what the title is either...lol
Or try some Nora Roberts series...I'd say try her 'circle' trilogy...I think that's the one with that cool vampire...you'd like it seeing your interest in vamps otherwise :P
@ bold: I totally agree! Plus, even if those actors did have the class and talent to dignify such scenes, the repetition would've watered down their appeal. I think that's one of the reasons why Prem and Mukti stood out. Their scenes were pretty original for the most part. I don't recall any 'aur paas' moments or rain romances between them, lol.
Circle trilogy? Don't you mean the "Morrigan's Cross" trilogy by NR? That's the one with the cool vampire, if I'm not mistaken. I think I am done with vampires ... was never really fond of them in the first place ... TVD was my first (and preferably last) association with those creatures, lol. :P
I like the way NR writes her stories but they're not exactly my type. Her primary plot often revolves around relationships – which is something that I don't find very intriguing. I have tried picking up a NR novel every now and then but they just didn't appeal to me.
Hey Sarah! Sorry, haven't replied to your PM yet; will do as soon as I can. About books - have you read We Need To Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver? It's fairly old - 2005 - but fantastic. I'm actually in the mood for re-reading it now after all that's happened here in the last few days.
I've both read and watched Eat, Pray, Love. I liked the book...and really wanted to like the movie because of Julia Roberts. The movie is strictly okay, not brilliant. But I never find movies made from books any good...am always comparing it to the book.
I know you said you don't like romance/chick-lit-y or crime stuff, which is mostly what I read these days, lol (am currently into Scandinavian crime thrillers), but have you read One Day, by David Nicholls? I just bought it - was resisting for a while because everyone was going on about it and I am just that contrary, lol...but I am about to start reading it. Other books: Water for Elephants, Shantaram, The Breaking of Eggs (read the manuscript when I was working for the literary agency that picked it up and LOVED it). One I am really looking forward to is The Language of Flowers which is published 18 Aug.
No worries, Vasu! Take your time with the PM. :-)
Thanks for all the recommendations. I haven't read any of those books, but will check them out at my local library as soon as I can find the time to go there. Not sure if I'll like Eat, Pray Love ... will skip that one for now.
Hey guys...phew. Been a hell of a night here. Don't know how much your medias have mentioned it but London has been in a major riot for the last few nights. Youths going from town to town burning down buildings, homes and looting shops. It's been hell, which explains my absence.
