I am sure Karisma will do a good job-Hema Malini

With the news being out that Karisma Kapoor will step into Hema Malini's shoes, in Soham Shah's remake of "Satte Pe Satta", we asked the original dreamgirl, as to what she thinks of the choice? When contacted, Hema Malini, sounded happy over Karisma playing her role in the remake. "I'm sure she will do a good job of it," she said.

On the topic of old blockbusters being remade, Hema said, "I'm ok with every other remake except Sholay". "Sholay" can and should never be remade. It is a classic, just like "Mughal-e-Azam", the magic which the movie created at that time cannot be repeated." Going to the logical side of her argument, Hema said, the setting and the script will not suit the modern scenario. "Who will believe a village setting with daku's running around, destroying villages? And which girl would now like to wear a ghagra-choli? Even the so called 'small town girls' now want to look modern and stylish. And people now travel by aeroplanes, tanga kahan chalta hai. So basically the setting is not right now, so doing a "Sholay" remake would be a very bad idea. That's the reason people didn't accept Ram Gopal Varma's movie," said the actress.

^^^she gave a good logic behind not remaking Sholay, however I am still not sure if it is confirmed if Karisma will be doing a satte pe satta remake or not! I have heard Kunal Khemu is in it, if thats the case then I might want to see Karisma in it, as I would like to see how the Raj Hindustani actors work again lol, however I still do not feel that this movie could work, I dunno if it could be like the original, and if this script is apt for today's time, and I dunno if the Sanjay-Karisma pair will work or not!

Last I heard was that Madhuri was being considered but I guess Sanjay did not want to work with her?!

not sure, yeh even I imagine an older woman for this role, Karisma seems too young, and sanjay looks a lil old for her, so maybe madz might be a better choice! however this might turn out to be a good opportunity for Lolo, so not sure, just waiting for a confirmation or a non-confirmation! wish she could star with Sallu! but noo! that is not happening, damn

lol, don't worry Malini she'll do a far superior job of it than you ever could. :) Only problem is the original is a cult classic

I don't know if Karisma can do a better job then Hemaji,but I can say now that no one can do a better job than Mr Bachchan did in the original!

but kunal I think it's short but he's too good looking and a great actor.
