My observation of hetal and bedi family

I will say my conclusion in the beginning because it might be a long post, that both hetal and the bedi family are at fault. AND I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT MONA HERE SO PLEASE NO COMPARISONS LETS JUST FOCUS ON THIS FAMILY SINCE EVERY GIRL IS DIFFERENT.

Since the first day that hetal came in the house, vimmy started taunting her. I mean i don't understand, exactly how old is vimmy that she talks so rudely and can hurt people's feelings but expect everyone to take it as a joke. Same with sweety, she rudely declined hetal's gift when she could have just taken it quietly and suck it up because it was a gift. Both kalavati, sweety and vimmy were rude to her unknowingly but they are all old and mature so they should have known how to behave with someone new who is not accustomed to your behaviors. Then they just dropped all their traditions at her the first day (I know same thing happened with mona but hetal and mona are two different people with different personalities so they cannot be expected to behave the same way). She cooked and no one liked her food and they did not even attempt to hide their reactions.

When she came home to talk about everything, her two elders started brain washing her against her new family. Which one will she listen to? New family who are not nice and close to her or her existing family who are deliberately set on ruining her newly married life ? Except Amrit and her hubby who are mature and know how to handle people no one else tried to make hetal feel comfortable and at home.

But then again, hetal's mind is already filled with poison by her grandma and her aunt. So she starts acting on it. Vimmy is old and should be mature instead of acting like a high school kid and showing off her necklace to make hetal feel bad. And she did that with the help of the maid. Like are u seriously going to disrespect your DIL in front of an outsider.

Hetal was totally wrong to steal from her husband and nothing will justify her for it.

Now coming to the bedi family, their foundation was not strong from the beginning. Hetal just give them a little shake that's all. Remember when hetal tried to create differences between vimmy and amrit, and amrit spelled her heart out about how she feels about vimmy not doing any work and being a bad and lazy bahu. She didn't say that because hetal told her but because she thinks that way but always kept it in her heart. Satnam needed to realize that karan is not a kid anymore. he is a married man and he cant yell at him or insult him like that. I mean you shouldnt even do that to your kid especially when they are newly married. Both brother started fighting because deep down they also feel that satnam gets to be the boss while karan works like a dog but does not get the same profits.
IF there was an hope of hetal changing, the way vimmy taunted her today ruined that possibility, Vimmy needs to make hetal understand nicely that you should not buy the baby stuff because it is not good. Which again I don't understand when goldie brought the gifts sweety couldn't keep her happiness and told her mom to forget about the traditions but when hetal brought the gifts, she was angry from the start.

basically, the bedi family has a lot of conflicts with each other that they need to confront instead of keeping because when something little happens they will become against each other. Sweety should give hetal a chance and also vimmy needs to stop acting so childish and immature like the lady has a grown up married daughter but still cannot handle hetal probably. She should just let Amrit do her job and not meddle in. Hetal should go to her mom and ask her for advice and how to make her family and husband happy instead of bijal.

In this case, both parties are guilty and need to take responsibility.

P.S. I am not a fan of hetal but just wanted to think of the situation from both perspectives.

No, I don't think so. Hetal started it first. All vimmy was doing or wanted to do, was teach Hetal a lesson. She also in the beginning held a grudge against her, because when she first came in as a daughter-in-law, that is when she had learnt, that her mother had kicked her daughter, Mona out of the house, because of some tiff. She as a mother, could not take that insult. So the anger she had towards Hetal's family, she was indirectly taking it out on Hetal. Which in some sense, can be understandable. She was hurt, but did not know how to express it. I understand that, it was wrong of her to throw it on hetal, but she too, always taunted Mona, and didn't support her when she knew Mona only meant well for her. But everyone misunderstood her and didn't even giver her a chance to explain or even listen to her! So, coming from that perspective, you can't really blame Vimmy.

But after like few days, Vimmy was nice to her, and she didn't taunt her anymore or take out any kind of anger. But then Hetals started planting seeds of doubts and creating rifts between Amrit and Vimmy, trying to poison Karan's mind about Vimmy and her family. and Also Amrit's! Is that what a good newly wed daughter-in-law supposed to be doing?! :O I dont think so!

If you look back, it was Kalavati's idea, to get even with Hetal. Vimmy is known to be a little dumb or silly when it comes to dealing with people and or talking to them. She took Kalavati's advice to heart and starting following those footsteps. Well.. true that was foolish, and not really necessary, but she didn't do it, just to cause pain for Hetal, she did it because, she wanted to show Hetal that she is being foolish by doing all this, and in a way wanted to show her tit for tat. But Hetal continued and continued with her tactics. And as a mature women, getting swayed by others, i mean, wanting to take revenge and get even with Vimmy is like, being really Immature. Vimmy by age is a lot older than her, she shld respect that, and act her age, and not like a school girl!

Here HETAL is at fault.. from the start, as she was the one to take things to heart, and then run and cry and complain at her mom's house, LIE about her inlaws, and try to create rifts.

Did Vimmy do any of those?! I DONT THINK SO! Vimmy's intention was to teach Hetal a lesson, as she believed, after talking to Kalavati, that just explaining things to Hetal wont work, but by giving her a taste of her own medicine will. But little does she know of Hetal's immature tactics and thinking! sighhh.. Hetal shld know that she is a married women! MARRIED! A MARRIED women's job when living in a joint family is always to bridge rifts and keep the family together..and not break them apart! She just doesn't know how to run a house. or build a house! sighhh..

Its really painful to always see her act that away, and all her pathetic lies about her inlaws.. sighhh.. when will she learn?!?!

True... even I feel its both their faults. Yes Hetal is really kiddish... but then Vimmi chachi and the bedis are also at fault. They should actually learn to give newly weds some space which they r not.Of the lot only chayji is a bit understanding.

in my opinion both r at fault...hetal for lying and stealing...what all lies she has told so far!!!the part where she throws the sweet vimmy gave her to give karan and makes her own sweet for him, was just horrible...and so too the part where she lies that her in-laws demanded dowry...did she even realize what all repercussions could have happened had her mother believed her???and stealing from her own husband and lying about it on top of it...here she made karan to be incompetent man who could not take care of the money, nobody else was involved in this neither vimmy or any one...what was the need for that???it becomes difficult to believe that she grew up with ambaji's values and traditions...

All i can say is there is much of hetal's fault than others.. she does wrong and wants others to support her wrong deeds.. thats y she likes phui and not her own mother..

Good Topic brought by nigo123. I will say that I am agree with all of you at one or other points. I will conclude saying it was Hetal's fault for like 99% because:

When she entered the house:

1. On that day Bedis came to know that Mona was thrown out of the house and at that time it was only Satnaam who was angry but as far as I remember (correct me guys if I am wrong here) it was Vimmy who said yeah it is sad to hear that our daughter was thrown out but we can't ignore Hetal and Karan happiness/excitement for this lets join to welcome Hetal with smile.
2. When Hetal was giving the gifts to all Bedis which she bought from her maayka (Here I would say it was 1% of Bedis fault as we see Hetal as a new married women who has just entered the house) but I will say Hetal is self center minded, selfish person that's why she didn't like when she had to gave the earrings to Sweety. I don't think Vimmy, Sweety, or Kalavati have said anything wrong to her. They were just teasing her. I agree that Hetal was new with these people and not know their nature but she was not kid she was married women she can judge by the tone of other people whether they're taunting, yelling, or teasing. If she can't judge then she should let it go and give it another try to understand the new home and the people instead of getting excited.

When she brought the gifts for Sweety's baby:

Sweety didn't got excited as she was when Goldie bought all gift for her baby because

1. Goldie is her bro-in-law so sweety has to show positive attitude towards him because devar is devar and bhabhi is like part of our own people as she is our brother's wife.
2. Because of Goldie her parents-in-law are agree to take her back home
3. Goldie is the only one member she can count from her in-laws because I don't think other than Parmeet she has got any love/care from her in-laws side.
4. Goldie brought everything unknowingly

Vimmy:

I would say she is not acting as kid but she was teaching Hetal by giving her own medicine because Hetal does not understand things by explaining to her because as far as I remember amrit and vimmy also have told her before many time to keep her heart bigger (at the scene when she was making tea, she got upset while selecting the suit piece which came from their shop, etc. etc.) so basically Vimmy was just teaching her and saving her family as she knows amrit nature and Hetal was trying to makre Amrit fool.

Hetal need to change her nature that's her main problem. She does not think about her husband and her own brother then how can she think positive about anyone else and change herself too.
