Guddu and Runjhun are still all smiles from their dinner. Guddu tells Runjhun that he has something for her. Runjhun questions him about it and he tells her, he bought something for her, and pulls out a neatly wrapped green package for her. Runjhun asks him what is it and he tellls her to open and look at it. Runjhun opens it and finds flowers in it. He tells her that she looked nice at the wedding with flowers in her hair, so he brought some for her. Runjhun thanks him and turns away, and Guddu tells her that she will look even more beautiful if she wears them.
At the Pandey House, Mahadevi is yelling at Kukkan, and asking him what right he has in coming to her room. She tells him to go see his face in the mirror and tell her whether he's even up to her standards. She tells him he's not wearing the vermillion or the mangalsutra, and tells him she doesn't consider him her husband. She insults him and he retorts that he is better than her, because he's not the one who insulted his parents' honor in front of the world. He tells her that she is his wife whether she admits it or not, and tells her that he will not stay in this house, and she will have to stay where he stays.
Mahadevi says she will not go with him, and that he earns only about maybe five hundred in a month. She says he can't afford to keep her and where will they stay. She continues insulting him as a low person who doesn't earn more than she can spend and who can't feed her more than what Billo's Rickshaw people eat. She tells him she didn't ask him to marry her and be god-like, and great.
Kukkan asks her to respect her family, and to honor Guddu and Runjhun's decision. Mahadevi says that it is their fault in the first place that she ended married to him. She insults Kukkan even more even going on his mother, and Kukkan retorts angrily for to stay away from mentioning his family. He tells her that for someone like her Jabbo was right, maybe if she'd found two or more like him she would be happier. He says he was feeling bad for her plight till now but she deserved what she got. Mahadevi gets angry again and chucks something at Kukkan telling him to get out of her room. He dodges but leaves.
Mittho closes the door, as the winds are picking up, indicating a storm. Rajju is on the phone talking to a Mr. Yadav, explaining Mahadevi's marriage situation. He says that the Tiwaris were being unreasonable so he got Mahadevi married to a better person. After he keeps the phone, he tells Mittho that he is troubled by answering all these questions. Mittho understands and says that she too feels the same, and is stifled by their situation. Rajju tells her that they have to keep an eye on their daughter now as she might do something, and tells Mittho to pay attention to Mahadevi. Kukkan walks down, still angry, and Rajju stops him and asks him if he has some urgent work this late at night. Kukkan looks at him but doesn't respond and walks away. Mittho says that if one thug went away, they got saddled with another. She blames Runjhun who lef the house with all these burdens.
The priest visits an astrologer named Acharya whose name he finds on the bottom of the birth chart. The astrologer says that he doesn't make natal charts anymore, and the priest shows him Runjhun's chart and tells him he made this chart and asks him where the fortunate one is. The astrologer wonders how he could have missed this, when her created it and the priest tells him that now is not the time to regret that the bird has flown away from them but to find the lost bird (or something along those lines. The priest speaks in complete metaphors)
The vegetable seller comes and Leela comes and tells the vendor to pack all the vegetables for her. She calls Runjhun too and says she cooked for her yesterday so she tells her to come and buy some vegetables. Runjhun comes out and Leela tells her to buy some vegetables, but says that since her back is hurting she will buy first. Runjhun tells her to rest and says she will pick for her too. Leela sits down with her son. As Runjhun is buying vegetables, she sees Vishnu's photo on a newspaper. She walks over to the old man reading the newspaper and asks if she can borrow it. The man hands it to her and she sees that Vishnu's license has been suspended. She tells Leela that she needs to rush in and apologizes that she can't buy the vegetables and runs in to inform Guddu.
She wakes Guddu up and tells him to read the newspaper. Guddu grumbles but gets up and reads the paper. He reads that due to fraud Vishnu Pandey and other known lawyers had their license to practice suspended. He wonders if the Pandeys are truly experiencing bad fortune. He looks at Runjhun and wonders if fortune and luck can truly be true like that. He wonders if Runjhun is really like her chart says, fortunate.
Runjhun says that Kalsanwali must be worried and that it won't be bad if they don't go home and see them. She says Amma must be also waiting. She says she will pack a bag so they can leave. She turns and grabs a bag and pulls out some saris and a few shirts from the closet, murmuring in worry. Guddu gets off the bed and walks away.
Runjhun picks up the bag and turns and finds Guddu gone. Leela knocks on their door and calls out for Runjhun, then walks in. Runjhun puts the bag down and goes out and sees Guddu pacing worried about something. She walks towards Leela and Leela tells her she bought vegetables for her since she walked away. She hands Runjhun the bag of vegetables. She tells her that now that she is here, she will drink some tea. She gives her son her bag and tells him to go keep it in the house. Runjhun tells Leela that she is worried about something and she has some family problem. Leela say there's no problem, and says she will make the tea.
She goes to the kitchen and makes ginger tea. She asks Runjhun what the problem is, and Runjhun explains about Vishnu. Leela tells her not to worry. She says that this is destiny, and says that if her uncle did the right thing he has nothing to worry about, but if he's in the wrong then he will have to serve his penance. Runjhun wonders about what Mittho told her and asks if this is tied to that, but says that Guddu won't hide from her. She tells herself to stop thinking about Guddu lying to her. Leela finishes making the tea and takes Runjhun to sit with her and drink tea. She tells Runjhun to stop worrying and drink the tea that she made. Runjhun drinks but wonders why the same thought keeps playing in her head and wonders why everything indicates towards Mittho's words.
Next Week: Guddu asks Runjhun why she is looking at him like that. Runjhun says she is thinking, and Guddu wonders if she knows. He says that if Amma wont tell her and the uncles and aunts won't tell her, then how can Runjhun know.
