Yes, Karan did marry his sister-in-law and that too without her consent.
What must have Urvashi felt at that moment - she was waiting for Lakshya to come to the temple for marrying her and maybe, she was even thinking of spending her life with him. And Then, Lakshya fails to come within the stipulated time and Karan does his obnoxious act, whatever good intention he had on his mind.

it's a pretty common practice, if the elder brother passes away, the deceased's brother marry's the widow! there's nothing wrong with itt!!

well nowadayz, this never happens...but i remember someone said that in their family it was a ritual that if the older bro dies then the wife gets married to the next brother....so it was rite in that perspective
