oh comee on! Jays deff obvious. Who was about to break abhay's ice with a stick right before piya came in ? Jay. Who had those scars on his hand from the beginning? Jay. Who's closer to Pia? Jay. Who do most people believe the mastermind is? Jay. Neels pretty much a nobody. Most people wouldn't think its going to be Neel and hence they'd be surprised when it is.
His changed attitude has a reason behind it and the cut on his neck could easily be played off as Panchi's subconscious concern for him aka starting their lovestory.
