| There are times in all our lives, when we desire the need for divine intervention; times, when life refuses to acknowledge the seemingly obvious and decides to take refuge in a world that is far away from ours. A world that gives the body and mind the spiritual healing that it yearns for. We, at Telly Chakkar.com decided to delve deeper into the lives of our favourite stars and know a little about their lives beyond the obvious.
The talented and porcelain beauty from Kolkatta, Moulli Ganguly made it to the city of dreams(Mumbai)a few years back and since then there has been no looking back. This daughter of a renowned artist from Bengal started her career with modeling and took up plum acting assignments from Balaji's Kahin Kissi Roz to Zee's Sarrkar. The spiritual yet practical actor talks about her belief in God with Kavita Shyam
"God is universal and positive energy for me" Yes I believe in God but I don't have a ritualistic way of reaching God. I don't fast unless mom asks me to but I am a spiritual person. I believe in a lot of positivity and universal energy in God. God for me is the creator of everything and I truly believe in love and God instead of looking at it as an ego issue. God for me is looking at the sky from different windows or different angles. "My belief in God has never been shattered"I can talk to God anytime of the day and I don't forget to thank god everyday whether I am happy or not and for whatever I have got in life which is a habit from school days. My belief in God has never been shattered. Everything in life and our destiny is connected with God. How strong is ones belief in God depends on positive thinking and that's what makes one close to God. I am a very practical person so I can't possibly be very philosophical considering the kind of profession I am in I try to maintain a balance. "I love the quietness of the church" I have been to Sidhivinayak and Kalighat, churches, dargas and gurudwaras. I think temple is a place where one gets a lot of positive energy, I love the quietness of the churches,I loved the Lotus temple in Delhi besides I've been to the meditation point in Kanyakumari (meeting point of three rivers) which I would like to visit soon. "I believe whatever happens happens for the best" I keep asking for God for a lot of things and many times I get them too. My grandmother always told me pray hard but you will get only what you deserve and leave it on God as he knows what is best for you. I am quite happy with what I have got as God knows who and what I am and what I deserve. For instance when you fight with your mom or not happy with a scene, any small to big thing it's up to us as to how we take it. I believe whatever happens happens for the best and for a reason. I like to celebrate Durga Puja which means celebration time for me besides going out with friends and family and going for visarjan. "Spiritual books are my way of connecting with God" I love to read up spiritual books by Deepak Chopra and books (like Powers of Sub Conscious Mind and You Can Heal with Life) which connect me to God and give positivity. I'd like to read the Bhagwat Gita not because it is a religious book but because it is the most practical book which teaches you the way of life. These books remove mental blocks from ones minds and I'd say these are God's ways of sending messages. I started reading these books ever since I've started living alone in Mumbai, when things don't happen the way you want and want answers to all or when one is depressed one should get to read them. |
