I always felt Supriya behaved the way she did not because of the way she perceived D, a man unworthy of love or one who kills people for a living. She was selfish,period. It wouldn't have mattered what sort of person her parents was forcing her to marry. Even if it had been someone like Kishore she would have gone ahead & did what she did to D.The fact that she left her parents to face the music in the house of the gangster she abandoned at the marriage altar is proof of what a filial daughter she is.D did ask for her say in the marriage matter. If she was a decent girl then she would have been brave enough to let D know she loved someone else. She never really knew what true love is.For to know true love one has to be a true person first which Supriya never was.Jo apni Maa-Pita ki nahi hui woh kisi aur ki kya hogi?

Kala is no different from Supriya but her evilness manifested itself in a much grander scale. Supriya wanted Ravi at all cost.The same way Kala wanted everything that D had no matter what the price.D's name, fame,wealth & the most important D's Aayi. I always felt it hurt her D had to come in their life & take away all the attention from her onto himself. She feels she too could have achieved whatever D managed if only he weren't there to do it before.Things got worse when strangers like Patilwadians began deitifying D. I think that really got to her. She wanted all that attention for herself. I noted how she glided among the irate villagers outside the police station where Nakku-Baji went to file Missing Person complaint ,confident she will control the crowd with one wave of hand just like her cousin, D. The ground beneath her feet slipped when people walked past her without even glancing in her direction. That's when she began hounding Sudarshan & Chaskar for D's dead body. All Kala is a very petty & greedy woman just as Supriya was a petty & selfish woman. I don't think there is any cure for these maladies.From what I have seen in real life people who are small usually never give up being small all their life.

sadly, there is no indemnity in human relationships (read contracts)... There is no assurance that one will be compensated for what one has lost - Kala - for instance. I agree with @Zuby there... She wanted all of D's happiness, his crown, his family - she couldn't get much of anything, though.
@Elysia: i agree that Supriya and D have both moved on, and like i said as of now she doesn't fit into the scheme of things :) however, if there is a potential that the writer feels can be incorporated in the future story to show what happened to Supriya, then perhaps it may be taken forward

As for Kala i myself am really curious to know what she will do next! How long can she lie down like that! :) And, on whose strength will she rely to get back at D and N and the family!

I personally dont think Supriya's return would have any significance from story POV, as was the case with Seema's return. Seema coming back had an intention, to kill all past demons of Dutta and reform him at deeper levels, as it was she who was the root cause of Dutta's wrong route in life. But in case of Supriya, she dint cause that big a harm to Dutta and his soul, as he was only close to her for 2 days before the wedding! So during his 1^st wedding, his reason for breakdown was not Supriya's betrayal primarily, but Nakku's! And when Nakku redeemed herself and was proven non-guilty, automatically this 2^nd "love-betrayal" incident got wiped off from his inside! So from the story POV, though Supriya's arrival might not bring about any significant developments, but I would LOVE to see that woman in misery for what she did to Dutta for her selfish reasons! So nevertheless, it would be FUN to see her go through all that 😈!

Regarding Kala, I feel her problem is more psychological than any REAL hatred. I feel whatever she is now is basically a "pile-up" of lot of things that she had to undergo psychologically and emotionally since childhood. At a tender age of 8, she lost her dad, and amongst all the other kids, she was the only one who had the maturity to feel the pain of losing her dad. Forget about just losing him, she actually SAW the process of her dad's death right in front of her eyes! Generally such kids need to be taken to psychologists immediately, as there are 99% chances that such incidents can affect them psychologically. Sometimes such impacts are not known immediately, it might take couple of years to show up! After losing her father, when she was left with just one parent and needed THAT parent to make up for this loss, the opposite happened! AS not only dint give her that EXTRA support, but also took away a certain amount of LOVE, CARE and ATTENTION that she was enjoying before this boy DUTTA came into the picture! So Damodar Patil's and Dutta's arrival in her life turned her life upside down! DP took her father away from her, and Dutta, her mother! So at one go, she felt she lost her MOM & DAD! So she dint think LIFE, GOD & MOM were being fair to her, but whom will she go and complain?! Maybe initially she tried complaining, but AS must have pacified her saying she is the "eldest" so its her responsibility to shower love on all the young ones, including Dutta! So for Kala, it was a pile up thing since childhood. She hated Dutta primarily cos she believed he GOT what he dint deserve, and she DINT GET what she deserved! So something that started at a psychological level of need, also expanded to other physical and materialistic luxuries in life. Since she was helpless since childhood, not able to influence or convince anyone about her needs, she started fulfilling her psychological needs in a slightly different manner, through a strategy called "SADDISM"!
