Guddu says that today he will committ to his husbands duties for Amma's happiness and today, the moment is right, the customs are right, and the he has the right as a husband. Guddu leans in closer to Runjhun. Runjhun thinks that this is not what she wants so why is it happening. She wants to say no but knows that Guddu will use it as an excuse to get out of the challenge. He will claim that if she can't give him rights as a husband then what right does she have to give the challenge.
As Guddu leans in closer, Runjhun holds up the glass in front of his face and says that Amma..then correts herself and says that she brought milk for him. He takes the glass from her, not before wrapping his fingers around hers. He pulls the glass away and is about to drink it, but decides not to. He tells her that he won't drink milk today or alcohol. Her company is intoxication enough for him. He sets the glass aside, and pulls her pallo away from her head. Runjhun can't help but think of the touch not so long ago, when Guddu had broken her engagement. He removes her chain, then her jhumka from her forehead. Each action deliberate and slow. He next takes off her earrings. Guddu in his mind tells Runjhun to say no just once. He says just one word from her and he will stop with all of this and he will be free from his duties and the challenge. Runjhun clenches her hand on the sheets at every action.
He pulls her hand firmly towards him as he removes her bangles. Runjhun thinks that the one person whose touch sears her soul, is today touching her soul and staking his claim on her mind, and body. She prays for strength and a way out. Guddu on the other hand is getting frustrated. He is wondering why Runjhun isn't protesting. He says he can't go on further, if this goes on, he will truly be her husband in all aspects. He says he can't lose to her, either.
He takes off all her bangles, and lays her down on the bed. Runjhun closes her eyes. Guddu looks at her for a moment and seems taken in by her beauty. He gently pulls out her nose ring and stares at it, and smiles for just a moment before he shakes himself. He mentally scolds himself for straying. He says he's not going to stray from his purpose. He place both hands next to Runjhun, and leans in. He stops and bows his head away, not wanting to touch her. Then he shakes himself mentally again, that he can't lose. He delays as much as he can, and Runjhun finally opens her eyes.
Guddu stops, and Runjhun scared asks him who Neelu is. (Of all things). Guddu is surprised. He tells his dharampatni not to interfere in his matters. He asks her how she knows about Neelu. Runjhun says she heard him mumbling the name in his sleep. Guddu rises, and Runjhun asks him where he is going. He says he is going to hell, and asks her if she wants to come.
He tells her she can forget about the suhaagraat. He can't even bear to stay in the room with her. Runjhun wonders what made Guddu so upset.

The next morning Guddu is fast asleep and Runjhun is sleeping on the floor wide awake. Billo peeks in from the window trying to gauge the situation, but can only see Guddu. Kalsanwali asks Billo what she is doing, and Billo says she's looking to see if the milk did its magic. Guddu never drank the milk, but Kalsanwali says her plans always work. Runjhun comes out with the glass of milk, and Billo tells Kalsanwali she doesn't think so. They decide to follow Runjhun and Billo nearly falls from the window sill.
[CRYPT] Runjhun walks out and wonders who Neelu is that Guddu got so upset. She says there is definitely something there. She sees Amma and hides the milk glass. Amma sees Runjhun and tells her to heat the water for her bath. Runjhun agrees and puts the glass of milk in the fridge. Diamonds comes and calls his parents and takes their blessing. They asks him what's up, and Diamond tells his parents they don't even care about him. He has a to take his important IT exam and they don't even know. Rajju tells Mittho to feed him yogurt, but Mittho says she will feed him milk and brings the glass of milk with the sleeping powder. Billo and Kalsanwali watch as Mittho forces Diamond to drink the milk.
Kalsanwali and Billo say that now Diamond won't bring back results but snores. Kalsanwali tells Billo not to say anything. They go out and give Diamond their blessings. Billo tells Diamond to do well and keep a glass of water next to him. She says if he feels sleepy he can sprinkle water. Diamond is confused and Mittho wonders too. Kalsanwali nudges Billo and explains that whenever she went to give exams she always used to fall asleep. Mittho comes and says that explains why even though she's supposed to be educated her brain is always miles behind. Kalsanwali gets angry at Mittho and wants to attack her but Billo hold her back.
Amma tells Diamond to see Runjhun also. Rajju and Mittho agree. Runjhun comes and announces that Amma's water is ready and Amma leaves. Rajju takes Diamond and his ticket and makes Runjhun read it and touch it. Then lets Diamond go.
Kalsanwali wonders that today will be the ultimate test of Runjhun's fortune. Either Runjhun's fortune will work or the sleeping pills.
