nandz!!!!🤗🤗

as soon as i saw your topic, the first thing which struck me was " we wont be having these dmg discussions and episode topics from you anymore. True, you had stopped those for a while, and i stopped visiting due to the sheer meanness of certain souls around, but none of that had the finality which is there now. im dukhi right now! 😭

Khair coming to the episode, before i go into the highs ( and boy, were there highs!), i want to take some time to mention the lows. the past two weeks have been complete let downs for me! i had high hopes for AR reunion man. i mean, i enjoyed all the foolery of the gang, but not towards the closure. i wanted more of AR. and what we got was a hurried confession in 10 minutes? not done at all. they are AR. they're reuniting after going through hell. they deserved more. WE deserved more. What made riddhima change her mind? this was very important. and the pace of yesterday's episode was soo fast. HATED the voice dubbing. HATED the editing. the sbs segment had better coverage of the scene. im very very disappointed.

the HIGHS!!!

you know, KaJen are my favourite AR. and THIS is why! this, what we saw yesterday. they take AR to a whole new level. they LIVE them, as as a result, we LIVE them. you and everybody else have said enough about the stellar acting and karan and jennifer deserve every bit of the accolades. and more! i hope we get to see them together again! they complement each other so beautifully, its surreal!
what i loved most was DMG finally lived up to its theme.and by this, i dont mean AR reuniting. i mean riddhima taking the initiative. she is the protagonist. the story revolves around her. she puts her career on line for her sister when she needs her. She obeys her father by staying away from her love, yet quietly supports him by sending messages through friends and fasting with him. She takes a bullet for the man she loves. She declares with arrogance, pride and an unshakable faith that no force in this world can keep her away from armaan. three different actors played these phases i've mentioned, but there was one common thread right through. Riddhima was STRONG. bullheaded at times, when it came to Armaan. but she had a spine. she had her principles, and she lived by them. she was true to all her relationships. she was fit to be the protagonist of the show. but that riddhima just disappeared when she decided to drink poison one minute, and marry the next minute fearing society. and the real riddhima surfaced again last night! and i loved her! i loved Armaan's basket. I loved how she authoritatively wiped away armaan's tears, declaring firmly that she only wants to see herself in armaan's eyes. there's place for no more tears in their lives. i absolutely loved her going down on her knees. ( i found this to be symbolical to riddhima shedding all her misgivings and doubts and surrendering to what she really wants). Armaan was broken, and she put him back together. in the most confident and loving way possible. This has got to be the most amazingly conceptualized and acted scene i've ever seen. KUDOS TO KARAN AND JENNIFER

P.S. i cant help but add. Armaan and Riddhima were never bound by rules. was it right that they were so cruelly separated? No. was it right that innocent people had to pay the price for their inability to move away from each other? No!

but they are just meant to be, and anybody believing otherwise can take a hike.😆

Edit:

Hey Nandini...🤗
Firstly...i didn't like the voice dubbing for KSG...he could express Armaan's emotions much more beautifully with his own voice...not done!
Secondly, the whole epi looked a bit hurried...CVs could have showed the whole sequence in at least two epis...this much time was need at least...i m a bit disappointed as i wanted more of AR!🤔
But except that...the epi was brilliant...
now coming to it part by part-
First, the way Armaan realises what Riddhima had been trying to tell him all along: please don't let me go. Please. The way Armaan stood just beyond the window, watching the same scene from a different perspective. The way Riddhima's 'Dill' spoke, in sheer contrast to what her actual words had seemed to say. And the way Armaan opened his eyes, stunned that it took him this long to understand. I thought this was a beautiful idea from the CV's, and brilliantly executed in every way...the black and white, the positioning of the characters, and of course, the actors. KSG's eyes as he watched, the desperation in Jen's voice as she cried out as Riddhima, asking Armaan to stop her just once...I have no words, really. 😳 👏
Firstly,i want to say that the way they brought back Shashank & he made Armaan realise that he was misunderstanding Riddhima this time...was great!Though i didn't like Shashank's initial dialogues about Armaan...this was the last epi & CVs should have made Shashank accept Armaan whole-heartedly,not just only for his daughter's happiness!😳
both Karan & Jen(specially Jen when Ridz asks Armaan to stop her) were awesome!👏
Second, when Riddhima reaches Sanjeevani. The shot with her standing at the door, entering slowly and touching the walls, reliving all the memories every nook and corner of that place echoes with. That was the first time I felt a tear well up in my eyes tonight, as I realised how I was reliving them with her. The corridor, the Cafe, the Fire Escape...everything resounds with so much, it's almost disorienting...
Yeah...this was something they have done brilliantly...it reminded me of the days when Riddhima first entered Sanjeevani...and many more..with Riddhima,i too was reliving all the memories...at the door, the corridor, the cafeteria, fire escape...specially at FE,when she paused & cried...was feeling a pain with her...and u see...no flashbacks were needed for reliving those memories...that came spontaneously!
Third, when Armaan breaks down in the Basketball court. Karan Singh Grover absolutely outdid himself here, and in the entire scene that followed. My most most favourite bit here was the way he reacted at the first sound of Asmaani. His face contorted in pain, and he covered his ears like he wanted to drown it out, because he was so sure he was imagining it. But he wasn't, which brings me to...
When Armaan breaks down in the BB court...i too felt that KSG outdid himself here...absolutely outstanding!👏...i felt tears in my eyes...and yeah...not to forget his reaction at the first sound of Asmaani...
Fourth and finally, the actual reunion of Armaan and Riddhima. Riddhima singing Asmaani took the very first note of this scene to a whole other level for me. And then she wiped his tears, and knelt down. I was floored. Absolutely and completely. And here, Karan's expressions were phenomenal, tw. We've all seen Armaan cry before, but this was just something else. It really was. As she asked him the question, the way her voice choked. The way he held her face and made her stand up. Special mention to the way he placed her hand on his own cheek, as if to make himself believe this is actually happening, that he has her back for real...and then, the highest point fo me in the whole episode, the way he enveloped her into a tight hug. That one hug said so much wordlessly, that there was no need for any lengthy monologues to express how much they love each other. It was there for everyone to see. And the simple, "I love you" and "I love you too...3, 4 ,5...raised to the power of infinity" just sealed it so perfectly! And my second most favourite part: Riddhima's response to the "Happily Ever After" tagline. I just want a normal, happy life with you. Happily Ever Afters are in fairytales, and fairytales end, while life and its memories are forever. So there. And I loved the fact that when Sid came into the frame, there was no guilt on Riddhima's face. Just a smile, a warm and genuinely happy one, the kind I had been longing to see for nearly a year. The smile on her face when Armaan counted the years, days and hours' worth of "chhota sa" intezaar, finally over. The smile on Armaan's face as he said, one final time for us, Oye hoye...one final time for us, but not for AR. Because this ending, is just another beginning. This is where they step into a new life together, coloured with the hues of togetherness and love. This is where a new Era begins...
Riddhima singing Asmaani for Armaan...awesome!(and that too in Jen's own voice...😳)
Tu mera Armaan hai...aww...he was dying to hear this from her...and then she came closer & wiped his tears...and said"in ankhon mein mujhe sirf apni chehra dekhna hai...ansoon nahi"...aww now thats our Armaan's basket...thats like Dr.Riddhima Gupta...and Armaan was so happy yet couldn't believe that she is actually back...😳
Then Riddhima kneels down and proposes...each & every word of her was so meaningful...it touched me completely...i again had tears in my eyes...!!
The HUG...undoubtedly it was the best AR hug...the tightest hug ever...which we were longing for more than one year...and it felt like they would never let go each other!❤️
Riddhima's reaction to Armaan's 'happily ever after'-now thats why i luv her so much...that she wanted to lead a normal life with Armaan...not like any fairytale...was something that moved me again!❤️
Lastly...Armaan's 'oyye hoyye'...😍(couldn't find any words!)
Concluding,i want to say that i loved the epi as a whole and loved the way they reunited AR in BB-court...that's where their journey began...so it is one of the best epi of DMG!😳
hope that we'll get to see a new season with the same cast(old gang) soon...
P.S. Nandini,i hv rplied to ur comment in my topic...plus hv something for u in the second page...so plz do check....tc!🤗

Nandini 🤗
I have been waiting to read topics from you !
I agree with each word you have said .
The reunion IMO is the best I have ever seen on Indian television !
Armaans realisation of Riddhimas feelings was such a beautifully depicted scene. It makes you realise how Arman always knew what was in Riddhima's heart .His anger just didnt let it reach to him soon .
Armaans breakdown was heart wrenching ,KSG was phenominal ,I am saying this for the umpteenth no of time ,he is the only actor who can cry and make you cry with him each time he does.
His transition from being defeated to being the man who was alive with his life back to him was stupendous. He emoted so well from being broke to being the happiest man on earth in a span of a few minutes .The way Armaan cries like a baby when Riddhima is on his knees ,was so touching showing how he didnt know in which way to express his happiness !
As soon as I had seen the SBS and Jen with the mike I had an idea that Riddhima may sing for him and the words I had imagined would be "Tu mera Armaan hai ",because that one line explains it all .
For me the reunion became evev more special after she sang for him.Her going down on her knees ,something so different from the usual .It was nice to see Riddhima take the intiative and respect the fact that Armaan had already done enough to make her believe how they were made for each other,he had gone through too much already and this time it was him who deserved to feel special.
Jen outdid herself ,from singing the asmaani in her own voice(which suprises me ,how talented is she ? ) to the tremor in her voice while she proposes ,to every emotion she expressed through her eyes and the passionate hug that follows .
The scene was beautifully written ,the highlights for me would be ,ofcourse the Asmaani sung by Riddhima (read "Tu mera Armaan hai " ) ,Riddhima going on her knees ,Armaans yes to her in a wink (thats obvious 😉) ,the hug and the passion showing the desperation to be with each other ,the cute moments that followed (which were absent the whole year ) and lastly it all ending with Armaans "Oyye Hoyye "
P.S : Oh yes and the ARMAAN RIDDHIMA ,Dill Mill Gayye,THAT nailed it for me.Thats all we have been saying the while year

Hey Nandini 🤗

Hope you're doing good 😊
I am not the Season 3 group, so I really am treating this like your last topic for a while to come.

The final episode of DMG. I managed to see all repeats of that which were at decent times, and still that episode is stuck in a mind like a record. And there are reasons for it, reasons which you also stated so very beautifully. DMG has been a journey and an experience of three years, and it needed something like this to give it the very deserved ending. A brilliant concept by the Creative's, they bid farewell to their baby with alot of care and memories, and gave the viewers everything that DMG always stood for - Love, Friendship, Respect and Acceptance.

The actors outdid themselves, it was their last to DMG, and they gave it all. And KSG, it was like he was returning the love of his fans by that one perfomance. As a team Kajen outdid themselves totally. And so did the remaining case :) That's why we believed in Armaan, Anjali, Atul, Riddhimma, Raooool, Muskaan, Keerthi, Shubhankar, Nana, Sister Lovely, Sapna, Shashank and the others. Because these actors so brilliantly made the characters look alive, look real and look reachable.

Dr. Shashank being the catalyst for the AR reunion, making Armaan realize what Riddhima's heart wants all along(and boy, the scene was breath-taking), was beautiful as much as it was important. The whole forum has always hated Shashank, and we have always wondered if Shashank would ever approve of Armaan as his son-in-law. Those doubts were laid to rest. Does Riddhima really want this, or is it that one day when she see's Sid, she might want to run back to him? Those doubts were also laid to rest. I don't think there is a single question of doubt in the mind of the viewers that the CV's did not cater to. And for that, they deserve a round of applause.

The final proposal. Aaah, my eyes were moist, and I am not the kind of person who cries whilst watching a movie or a serial. But I guess attachment does that to you. The final step taken by Riddhimma, which I thought was essential... it shouldn't always be Armaan running after her. That's what Armaan had always dreamed of, and that is what we had always wanted-Riddhima to do something for Armaan, and her self realisation that it is he who is perfect for her. Wow ! It was roles reversed, but she healed with every little thing she did for him.

She sang for him, and her eyes sparkled; she wiped his tears and her heart beamed; she went down on his knees and reached seventh heaven; she kissed him back and finally felt liberated. That is what makes Armaan and Riddhima simply beautiful for me, the fact that in each other they find their happiness. Truly.

That little ILY. *Sigh* I guess I now know why they say that sometimes a few words speak more than a million. Because if the words are special, the person is right, nothing can spell blissfull heaven more than that. Nothing at all. A simple line spoken by Riddhima, about wanting a normal life, and not a happily ever after, so symbolic. Happily Ever After's are fairy tales, and who knows whether they are even true or not, plus I always though Fairy-Tales had a very depressing undertone to them, anyway, and Armaan and Riddhima are defined by fights, so yeah, a normal good life together is the way to go.
Jenny sang Asmani <3 I couldn't help but mention that, she's got to be one of the most dedicated actors, and with a whole lot of talent hidden in her.

Lastly, I will just follow Armaan's footsteps, and define the episode in the same words he used to define the relationship and re-union of Armaan and Riddhima.

Oyee Hoyee =)

Take Care,
Arushi.
