This is inspired from Dev's entry back in Maan and Geet's life.. I don't know what Cvs have planned for them.. but then these are my thoughts on why his entry is needed..
If anyone like Geet has a bitter past.. is it that easy to move on...? Is it that easy to forget and just get into another relation..

Maine Pyaar Kiya #23 : Don't hold on your past
"Maan, I saw Dev here in the hotel".. She looked at him.. This man has so much faith in her and she could not hide..
Maan was stunned to hear this.. and then looked at her..His eyes.. She could not hold herself anymore.. Why because of her troubles he has to suffer and She came running into the room.
She entered the washroom.. and cried loudly.. why is it that whenever she tries to be happy.. her ateet comes in front of her to remind her what she went through.. she was crying loudly.. "Why Babaji, you put me through test.. again and again ...few moments back.. she had seen Dev in hotel lobby...She was shocked ..till now her heart is beating so fast.. she can hear the dhak dhak sound.. She had never imagined him to be here. The man who had ruined her life.. the man who was suppose to be her first husband'and she heard the knock on the door.
She came out of washroom and saw Maan standing.. He looked worried. "Geet you all right ?" He could see the pain on her face.. her eyes red as if she had cried a lot'
"Yes , I am fine'" she tried to hide her pain.
He knew it is difficult for her to forget her past.. Dev was the first man in her life.. He had never asked her whether she was in love with him.... But now he was worried.. she is so troubled to see Dev. Does she still feels for him ? Is any corner of her heart still has place for Dev.. and this thought started troubling him..
"Geet,.. kya tumhain Dev ke yahan hone se farak padta hain.. ?" and he wished in his heart .. please say No..
She looked at him with teary eyes.. and left the room.. Maan was taken aback.. Does it mean Yes ? Does it mean he has to share her with Dev forever?? And this made his heart cry.... will she ever be his completely....
Geet knew what Maan was asking her.. and she questioned herself.. "Really still she has some place for Dev..?" No she was sure. Then why she is so upset seeing him.. The man who came in her life at such a tender age.. with whom she shared some intimate moments.. and the day she realized the truth.. she decided to take him out of her life completely.. she burnt her marriage clothes.. she took all symbols of marriage.. everything,, and decided to shut the door to her past completely. I will not let it come. I will not let it affect my present..but is it that easy.. seeing Dev today in front of her.. again she was taken back to her past.. She started crying again..
Maan was thinking about Geet.. He could never doubt her love for him' He knew in his heart that Geet loves him deeply.. that why she is troubled.. Why can't she accept Dev as any other man passing by.. Is it because she still loves Dev ?.. Not possible.,, He can never doubt her love for him.. then what..is something troubling her ?
Is it because she still has not got justice.. Does his presence reminds her of all the pain that she has gone through.. But then he had tried.. he had sent Dev to jail.. Dev himself had confessed.. but then for NT... He and his family had broken all ties with Dev and has to leave Delhi.. its one of the biggest punishment Dev is going through.. fallen in the eyes of his own family.. and Maan knew Geet understands this.. and for that reason she had never again asked him to follow on Dev's case.
So why she is so upset.. why she can't just move on... why can't she forget everything.. why she is holding on her bitter past...
He remembered when she had disclosed her past to him.. it was so difficult for her to speak it.. she had done only for their love sake.. but when ever he had tried to know more from her.. she had never shared.. as if she its her wounded soul is not letting it speak..,, her pride.. her self respect....was not letting share her grief with any one....she will not let anyone know that she was being hurt so badly.. Thinking this.. he understood.. she is still holding all bitterness.. insult.. and hurt in her self... she has not yet relieved herself of that.. and he understood her better now.. her cries.. her pain.. and why she is so upset..
He went outside searching for her...
She was on the terrace .. looking at the stars.. and thinking about herself and Maan...Maan the man who made her believe in love again.. who made her have faith in love again.. and whom she can trust more then herself.. and she remembered the question on his face.. He was looking at so much pain.... and she felt bad.. how she could do that to him.... she wanted to run and tell him that she has no place for Dev in her heart.. she has taken him out completely...how can she make him understand that its not love... but the insult which he had done to her womanhood.. which is not letting him go...from her life.. her soul is deep hurt for being used as sex object... her inner pride was hurt... and she knew she could never forgive him... till her death.. the hurt will stay with her.. the bitterness will stay with her.. She had attempted to close the door... to her past.. but she knew she could never forgive him....She again felt tears her in eyes..
She could sense Maan behind her and turned.. He was now looking calm.. and she ran and hugged him tightly.. her tears started flowing more.. her cries more loud... and she cried and cried till she started feeling light...
Maan.. felt her cries.. the pain she is going through...
"Geet, you have to forgive him.. It will only give more pain to you... You have to do this for our love.. If you don't forgive him.. then it will always try to pull you back to your past where other then pain, insult nothing is there for you.."
She looked at him.. without saying anything how he understands her.. how well he understood what is causing so much pain to her..
"Maan ... I am trying .. I don't want to remember him either with love or with hatred.. but then the way I was used by him.. that insult of my being.. is not going from my heart...I have realized even if he goes to jail.. this feeling will not go... I feel I will carry till my death.. I am feeling so bad...I am causing pain to you also.."
"Geet you have to do this for our love..You have to completely surrender to me .. our love.. If you carry this bitterness .. we will never be able to live happily.."
She knew.. Maan is saying the truth..she hugged him tightly... "Maan I will try...."
"Geet, there is no try.. you have to do it.. Forgive him..let it go....let the bitterness go... don't try to suppress your hurt, your anger...believe in our love and let that feeling go.. of betrayal.. of being used.."
She looked in his eyes..her love.. she has to do it for him.. for them.... and her throat choked..she was not able to speak...but then reminded of their love...
"Dev I forgive You..." and suddenly she felt lighter.....her soul was feeling relieved....
"Geet.." and he hugged her tightly... and wiped out all tears..
"Maan.. How you understand me so well.. How you understand my pain so well.."
He smiled at her and took her in his arms.. carried to their room. He knew she will be able to face her ateet better now..
