btw, doesn't anyone feel that sonakshi doesn't deserve the debut award ..... She was hardly in the movie and what lines did she have ?

i thought the girl from aisha - amrita puri was awesome in the movie ... very natural and confident for a debut .........

Just because sonakshi is from the industry so she should get it ........ no wonder all of them have that thinking that the awards are their birth right ... and sulk when they don't get it

I loved her in Aisha. She overshadowed both Sonam and Ira.

I didn't understand the hype around Sonakshi either...she only had five lines or so in the film so she wasn't ground-breaking

I m supporting the last paragraph of what the Writer has writter, "Udaan" I mean guys one of the best films i have watched so far but then Udaan was very under rated in filmfare, i felt very sad about that for sure

Hrithik and Aishwarya deserved to win. I wish Once Upon a Time in Mumbai won best movie though.

i agree amrita puri was much better....but i think they gave the award to sonakshi because of some twisted logic like this: since dabangg is way more popular than aisha, a lot more ppl watched this movie, hence, a lot more ppl know abt sonakshi and hence, she made a better impact..so lets just give it to her...😆

jks apart...sonakshi looked heroine material...she had a gr8 screen presnece...amrita though the better actor, is not heroine material...

waise dekha jai...toh when deepu won in 2008, the best debut should not have been given to her either considering her "complex" role in OSO...the little girl in Blue umbrealla deserved it better...😆

I agree with almost everything she said in the article. Only i do think that she should not have put the HR- Aish point, it kinda kills her argument. i do however feel that SRK didn't deserve it for MNIK, there were much better performances last year than that.

I agree Amrita Puri was too good, she made me laugh and she was so much better than Sonakshi, I didnt really think Sonakshi did amazingly well because it just seemed as if she had one expression on her face😕

Ayesha kapoor was sooo sooo good in Black and Amitabh bachchan also.. was very intense in the movie.. i liked black. Hritik was good in guzaarish.. it was an ok movie.. i have grown up watching indian movies.. so these movies are not that melodramatic compared to the stuff of 70s and 90s.. 😆 Actually, they do exaggerate stuff in movies.. not just SLB movies.. but even movies like 3 idiots which made a mockery out of serious issues.. with people jumping of the edges of buildings just like that.. it got OTT after a while..the movie gave a very shallow treatment to a lot of issues.. and its treatment of the whole subject of pressures on uni students seemed juvenline.. now that i look back.
