In 21st century the advance countries are moving towards gender equality and fairness. This show clearly depicts gender inequality, women are subservient, mother in law and older women of the house rule the house and they can abuse daughter in laws family at will.

When Ambaji keeps saying to Mona don't make any mistakes I don't know what she means..does she mean don't have an affair or go and get drunk...nooo.I bet she means don't talk and behave like a servant and when abused don't answer back. Their idea of making mistakes is totally screwed up i.e. not having something in thali to please Gods..as if God cares...!

To be religious means all engaging in elaborate rituals, with properly decorated thali, religion has nothing to do with helping the poor or unfortunate.

The show is taking Indian women at least 100 years back.

.I wish to see shows with modern thinking smart India women, who are scientist, social workers, teachers, business women and talk and talk like them..no flashy glittering hurting the eyes over dressing and jewelery. Whose homes represent normal Indian homes..

These shows are Pitts.

as rmj is concern wen ambaji tells mona not to mke mistkes she genuinely means tat cause mona is a dumb character, veryyyyyy childish, her behaviour is like a 10yr old kid.and d show like u want to wtch me too want similar stuff but i dont tink any1 will mke dose kind of show cause many people dont wtch it.

Its a common theme in these shows
Even if the women do start off independant, somewhere along the show, the writers ruin it all
Worse is the fact that women support these shows and the treatment of women...some find it "romantic" when the girl is being tortured by some good looking bad guy who laters turns good...
its pretty sad, but its women who support these types of shows and storylines that are really putting india back 100 years

Two show I really liked were Udaan. I want to watch it again but cannot find it anywhere and second one 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai' a great show. I love the way the leading lady Ratna Pathek dresses up..very smart and her character is so funny and so sophisticated.

It's not just RMJ but all shows are like that where lead heroine is tortured and only mission in their life is to take care of the home. The only thing I can say that atleast in this show MIL is not planning and scheming against her DIL she genuinely wants her to understand her responsibility. If you want more sense out of the dramas then YRF shows are the good one to watch.

I have seen only RMJ, Pavitra Rishta and Rishta.com so far. I will go nuts if I see more serials. Seems like that is what they want to see in India. I think I will not be able to handle it.

They all follow the beaten track since they are assured of TRPs there.

I watch Mrs Tendulkar on SAB on the same time slot. That is intelligent entertainment, plus the track is totally new where the husband manages the kids and home while the wife works as a manager at a bank.

That is what is happening too in society, I wonder why the dramas want to see only one segment of our soceity.

Have any of you seen Ba Bahu aur Baby?

It it a comedy show with a Gujarati family where Ba is the main person but how she holds the whole family togather is worth watching. There is silliness of bahus and sons and no body is perfect but nobody is expected to be perfect either. That is how a family in reality work.
