OMG Please!
Let me clear this confusion out.

RANI MUKERJI was ALWAYS the FIRST choice for CHALTE CHALTE!
But she declined the role because at that time she was busy & because she thought the role was too similar to Saathiya!
That's when Ash was brought on board..Then all the Salman drama,so SRK kicked her out and meanwhile went to Kajol too but she was pregnant that time,so didn't take up and then finally went to Rani again and that's when she escaped him out since she was free at that time.
So Chalte Chalte was ALWAYS Rani's film,she was the first choice!

Rani's was the first choice? she had no time? Yes, she must have been busy with all thos B grade movies with Govinda she was doing those days.

Not this again...haven't we dissected, discussed and pretty much killed this Rani-Ash topic...not friends and probably won't be....none of us were there so we have no idea what actually happened and hence have no idea who is really at fault.....BOTTOM LINE: It's gonna be a circular discussion with Rani fans saying it's Aishu's fault and Aishu fans saying it's Rani fault...but clearly all we can do is just speculate!

Not sure why anyone would think it is OK for a friend to not tell you they are replacing you in a project. I wouldn't want friends like that. At least have the courtesy to tell someone you consider a friend and is gong through a hard time at the time what is happening. I know there was someone else who also replaced Aishwariya in something but told her and she was fine with it.

PZ did for Veer Zaara and so did PC for Bluffmaster and PC and Aishu aren't even friends!

agree...it wouldnt be that bad if a non-friend replaces you and dosen't tell u...but if a friend does that, thats bad....I'd feel kinda cheated...

What I read in some article was director was always keen on casting Rani then SRK felt it was similar to role Rani has earlier done.so then Juhi(co producer?) and him opted for Kajol.She couldnt do due to pregnancy.Then Ash got the role rest we know.SRK has repeatedly said director was always keen on Rani so yea Priya was made for her.

I dont think Rani will ever refuse a SRK movie THEN or now just cos of time constraints.This is what i have read so pls dont jump on me for that
