The Story continues. Weekend retreat2 Scene17pg14

Allright guys,
Time for my retreat .. : )

I started writing this after yesterday's episode so I included a scene which was not shown in the show but I included today's incident as well but not exactly.

Anywayzz hope you enjoy it. I am off to do some house work will be back with more scenes later in the day.. but here we go

Scene 1

Viren walks through the hallways of the sood mansion, his hand clasped onto Nivi's soft hands. He could feel her tension and fear.
He gives them a gentle squeeze and looks at her.

She looks at him with her teary eyes.
Here stands the man,
The man whom she trusts,
Who stood by her in the worst of times, and made every moment the best.
It was him who put a smile on her face when the entire world turned away from it.

Niveditha looked at her hand which was hidden behind Viren's. She felt a sense of security. Viren held her hand as if to never let go. It was this trust and comfort that made their relationship unique.

It has been hardly a month since she met viren and within few days he has overshadowed her life and created such good vibes around it that it seems that they knew each other for eternity.

Viren nudged her gently and asked her to follow him through his eyes.
Niveditha followed him and they both entered into dadaji's room.

Nivi glanced at dadaji, the great bhupat sood, sitting on a wheel chair, helpless and hopelessly dependent. A tear rolled over her cheeks. She slowly went ahead and came face to face with dadaji.

Bhupat rai looked up and his eyes showed signs of shock and immense sadness. Nivi was unable to understand them.
Viren and her went forward to get his blessings. Bhupat rai tried to move his hands and slowly placed them on Nivi's head.

She could feel his shaking hands on her. She glanced at viren who had a satisfied expression on his face.


Atleast dadaji approves of our marriage and has accepted us, thought viren.

Viren: dadaji, main Niveditha ko is ghar ki bahu bana ker laaya hun.
Dadji looked at viren. His eyes spoke a lot but in a language viren did not understand. He had loved this man and today he is unable to understand him. This gave viren immense pain. He then indicated nivi to follow him out of their grandfather's room. She turned around and followed.

Scene 2

Nivedita knew every corner of this house. The house that she spent her childhood days in and had the best and worst memories associated with it.

They were slowly heading towards virens room.

Viren: Aao nivi. Ye mera kamra hai.

NIvi silently looks up at him and follows him in.

Though she had come into this room many times during the wedding preparations today there was something different about it. She could feel that this was viren's room.
Books lying on his bed, the flute sitting calmly on the side lamp table.
It had a calm feeling to it, as if the person who lived here had the mind as vast as the sky and the heart as deep as an ocean.


Viren asked nivi to take rest.

Viren: Main abhi atha hun , kuch kaam hai

Viren was pleasantly surprised at nivi's question. He had never felt wanted before. Even though he had parents and grand parents, he was not fortunate enough to gain their love. Many nights he passed just gazing at the sky and walking through the streets of night , searching, searching for something...

His restlessness which was looking for something, or someone , gave him a gentle push at Nivi's question.

He turned around and looked at her.

To make a man feel worthy , make him feel wanted.

My wife, she wants to know where I am going. How sweet! , thought Viren.
Viren assured nivi he will return...

Niveditha sat on the bed, as a stranger who had dared to enter into the pride of lions without their permission. Every sound made her jump with fear and happy with anticipation. It was a mixed feeling.

She longed for only one company, and one company alone.

She sat .. and waited.. until she heard footsteps. Her heart paced..and there was a feeling of relief, Viren is back..
but alas no, it was chanchal chachi...

She could feel her hatred, as cold as the ocean water, and as sharp as a piercing knife.
As she heard chanchal speak, she thought of one thing,
her hand in the hand of viren... her belief, ... their belief.. that everything will be set right.

She has to listen and endure this for the betterment of their entire family.

Nivedita was no ordinary girl, or was she? can't a girl who is as ordinary as her change the hearts thats filled with hatred?
Does she have to be extra-ordinary to achieve that?

With a determined look, and a hardened heart, she looked on and listened to all the taunts that were thrown at her.

She had to take everyday one day at a time, one moment at a time. A struggle that she and viren have to face and this time, again they will come out victorious.

It was amazing the amount of trust increased in just matter of hours. She felt a sense of pride just thinking about viren and surprised as to how that trust, that... feeling ... which she had no name for, gave her strength to face her biggest fear.
Her father's disapproval.

She faced him.. did she really face him?

with her eyes on the door, she laid down on the bed.. waiting

When her eyes met with sleep , she did not know....

found it ...loved it ...dancing with joy ***

Viren entered into the room. He sees nivi sleeping on his bed.
He closes the door behind him and approaches near her.

He looks at her..
a strand of hair was covering her face. He wants to move it but hesitates as he does not wish to wake her up.

Nivi, mujhe nahi pata tha ki ek behtar kal bhi meray darwazay dastak dega. Lekin thum meri zindagi main aa gayi ho -jaise saray gham door ho gaye ho.
Meri bechayni aur udasi kal ka sach hai aur thumhara saat aaj ka.

Voh din tanhayi ke abh gaye kiyunki thum aa gayi ho ...

Viren continues staring at nivi's face. His delight apparent on his face. His desire visible in his eyes. If nivi were to wake up now, he himself could not have turned away...

She had seen it so many times, him showering all his love through his gaze... will she recognize it? will she accept it?



He gets up and takes his night clothing and enters into the bathroom for a change. ?
Nivi slowly stirs and wakes up with a jolt.


Nivi:
Pata nahi mujhe aankh kab lag gayi? lagtha hai viren aa gaye hain. She gets up and sits on the near by chair.

Viren comes into the room and smiles at her.

Viren:
Are thum uth kiyun gayi..? Jao so jao, aram ker lo.

Nivi just shakes her head

Viren feels her discomfort

Viren: Are, chalo acha hua thum uth gayi. waise mujeh bhi neend nahi aa rahi thi. Main soch hi ratha tha ki thumhay utaun.. lekin thum tho aise so rahi thi jaise ....

Nivi looks up at him with her eyebrows raised.

She finds viren smiling. She knew that he was trying to cheer her up.

Viren: Acha pata hai main kya le ker aya hun? wait..

Viren goes to the table and picks up a parcel and walks towards the sofa besides his bed.

Viren: thumhay gobi kay paratay pasand hai?

Nivi: paratay... is waqt?

Viren: mujhe bhuk lag rahi thi to maine socha ki khana le ker aa jaun.

When will he change?

Viren starts chewing on the food and looks at nivi who is still standing and looking at him with a funny expression on her face.

Viren sighs and says

Nivi abhi special invitation chahiye kya. Aao na ..

He puts half of his parata on the other side and indicates her to come and sit on the other side of the sofa.

Viren: Pata hai, america main na paratay milthay tho thay lekin ithnay achay nahi. Yahan taiji acha bana lethi hain.

...thum kha kiyun nahi rahi ho...

He looks on at nivi who has a worried expression on her face. He smiles at her and takes a small piece and offers her to eat.

Nivi is taken aback by his gesture.
Viren then indicates her to open her mouth and take the bite. She just looks at him but opens her mouth and takes the bite.

Viren continues talking to her and she just listens to him.


viren ; wow maza aa gaya aur aaj tho bohot zayada. Kisi apnay ke saat bait ker khanay main jo maza hai voh kisi bhi cheez main nahi hai


Nivi gets up to pick up after him. He stops her and says

Main ker letha hun. Thum araam ker lo. aaj bohot thak gaye hain.

Nivi just sits on the sofa and watches viren leave the room and come back in.

Viren: are thum sonay nahi gayi abhi tak?

Nivi : nahi ..neend nahi aa rahi hai.

Viren : main samaj saktha hun. Dadi ki yaad aa rahi hai?

Nivi looks at viren and nods her head. Until now only dadi could understand her unspoken wishes and desires. She remembered her lap and the pleasure she used to get by putting her head on it.

Viren: Nivi ... dadi ko hum mana lengay. voh thumhay maaf bhi karengi. Unki narazgi thumsey nahi mujhsey hain. Jab unhe ye yaqeen ho jayega ki main waqay main hi thumsey pyar kertha hun aur thumhari kushi ke liye kuch bhi ker saktha hun, sab kuch teek ho jayega.

Everytime viren mentioned about his love towards nivi, she felt very uneasy. It was not because she did not believe him, but it was because she did believe him. She knew that everything he was saying was the truth and thats what scared her the most. She felt as if she was betraying him. She had never received so much love and it was overwhelming.

Yes dadi loved her and so did, her dad, yash and divya but there was something different about this emotions. She could not explain it but she knew that it was deeper than anything she had received so far.
