Ok, I'm back :)
Its a great topic nikki and this time I m replying without looking at the videos. Or u know what will
happen 😆 I 'll end up watching and rewatching , so I have safely stayed away 😆
I'll give my views in the order of appearance of the songs
Date song - do dil ek jaan
The song was interesting when I saw it, though the false flowers, ghoda etc was disheartening, it was still kind of cute, though the expectations were not met, it still had a certain sweetness to it.. the song itself was original and I grew to love it much later, yet it is special as MN's first date and ofcourse the fact that Mayank wore Nupur's fav colour while Nupur wore Mayank's fav colour..for the first time they embraced something that was liked by the other!
Pehli baar mohabbat ki hai..
I have written so much about this one..sigh!! It had MN passion for the first time ever. It was an
emotional song and situation.. With Mayank about to leave just after a patch up, it was difficult for
them to be in control of their emotions. Yet they took a moment and wondered if it were the right thing to do - that part took the cake. PBM will always be special for its wonderful moments and the portrayal by arti of a couple deeply in love is praiseworthy
Dil kya kare..
This was a surprise.. there was this beautiful scene before this song started, Mayank coming to surprise Nupur and Nupur brimming with happiness, her eyes shone as she hugged him tight, she had missed him and he made sure that he made this surprise date "world ki best date" by actually taking her to a house that was like her dream house and also making world ki best coffee for her. There is cuteness gallore as Nupur sitting on a swing chair peeps in to see Mayank making coffee and he smiles endearingly at his sweet girfriend :) IT had MN adorability written all over it! :) Then ofcourse the desperation in her hug when he makes coffee for her also was a highlight as it clearly indicated how happy she was to have him.
Cant forget the perfect twirl of MN in this one :)
Sajda
By now, MN are married..on valentine's day, they want to take the next step in their lives and Mayank actually talks to Nupur before proceeding, no impromptu stuff here, no sudden getting lost in the moment type of situations..and that brings class to this scene and it was shot so aesthetically ..it had beauty and the purity of white.. it was "sajda" in its true sense. With Mayank showering her with flowers and love. Classily done, endless repeat viewing cant ruin its beauty..
zindagi do pal ki
It was indeed zindagi do pal ki for Mn when eventually Nupur was thought to have died after the accident. They lived the moment well though. After a misunderstanding that tears them apart for a while, they realise that they cant live without each other, they refresh their wedding wows and enjoy the moments together as they have just gotten back each other. Chota sa ek wada is umar se bi jyaada sacha hai sanam..that is the MN story..it was heavenly..
Date anniversary, do dil ek jaan
This was indeed the surprise..when Mayank remembers the anniversary of their first date and Nupur forgets..its nothing short of fab as Nupur tries to make up with a pretending to be upset *(may be just a bit upset actually) Mayank ..and he showers her with love and she reciprocates with her whole heart. DO dil ek jaan took a new meaning as u saw the change that love had created in Mayank and Nupur. He remembered an anniversary and she had realised he is her rajkumar :) their perfect love for each other seems so heartening..MN adorablility maxima!!
Tujhe dekha- daksha VM
Firstly full points for the song nikki (he he 😆)
It was a wonderful VM with all the lovely moments of MN...it was so good that it even overshadowed the original in many parts for me (This is saying a lot cos I have been in love with DDLJ and this song since 1995 😆 ..)..There is a part in the original song wherein the imagination has raj and simran married and she runs in a pink night suit and him in a white jubba chasing her...when I remembered that I realised we have for MN got all that and more.. a lovely story with wonderful moments that I'll cherish forever!
Thank u for this post nikki!! :)
