hey i jus found dis interview
its by Sara Khan of dhoond legi.........
though this show is replacing our MJHT but i think dat its like a bliss of fresh air

disclaimer -i am not here to hurt any MJHTIAN .no harsh reply pls

Star One is gearing up for yet another love story but with a political tadka. Dhoondh Legi Manzil Humein by Sanjay Surkar is the story of Alka Tiwari, a bright young girl who lives her life to the fullest in New York. She comes back to India and falls in love with her childhood friend Chander (Yashwant). Her destiny takes a complete U-turn when circumstances force her to join politics. The show is buzzed to be inspired by the Marathi film, Gharabaher and the recent Rajneeti.

******** caught up with the protagonist Sara Khan, a confident fresh face to know more about her background and 'Alka Tiwari'

Do you think the show will connect with the youth since it is a political drama?
I don't see a reason why it wouldn't. I have been training a lot of youth and they want to make a difference today. They want to do something. Every organization has a youth wing. There are a lot of young people in India who are ready for a change. Milind Deora is a young politician, though of course one has to undergo a big process before you make a mark. About my role it is basically a love story and how I get into politics is a little part of it.

Tell us a bit about your background.
I am a qualified Neuro Linguistic Programmer (NLP) from London. I train couples for parenting children and teenagers.

How did you bag the show?

Some channel people were sitting in a cafeteria when they spotted me. I am a loudspeaker; they related me to the character, called me to their office. I was avoiding going there but when I met Sanjayji and the way he narrated the story to me I was just taken aback. I said a 'yes' immediately.

Do you face difficulty while speaking Hindi?
Not really. If someone is judging me then I will fumble, otherwise no.

How similar are you to Alka?
Almost 90 per cent, in the sense I like to take on my world, I am career-oriented and I like to live my life. I take decisions carefully, like Alka; I too like taking a few risks. I hate it when people tell me 'don't do this, don't do that'.

Something about your look on the show?
It's a glamorous look. I am like this generally. Nothing made up about it. I don't know how my look will change in the show.

Do you think your show will cater to the same audience Miley Jab Hum Tum has been targeting at?
I think it will because the youth today are out to make a change. Apart from enjoying, they are serious about their lives. They are ready to make a difference. When they see Alka Tiwari they will relate to it. We have had enough saas-bahu, but it's time to move on.

The 9 pm slot is a little cluttered and also a reality show slot, do you think the show will get lost in the race?
No, we are just giving the audience another option.

Your character is compared to Ranbir Kapoor's from Rajneeti
I have seen Rajneeti twice and haven't seen any resemblance of my character to Ranbir's. It's different for sure.

How was it working with Sanjay Surkar?
He is an amazing director. He is fast. We don't even take too many takes. He just explains us. Makes us visualize. We don't take more than two takes and it's not because we are excellent actors but because he is an amazing director.

Do you watch Television?
I have started watching TV recently. I just scan through the channels. Even when I was back in London I hardly used to watch TV. Now I scan through Star One, KBCand Bigg Boss.

When I have free time I prefer unwinding by watching horror movies. I create an ambience and I watch the most deadly movie and I love it.

Would you like to change anything about your country?
Yes, I would like to and I am. As I said, I am a trainer and am out to change the future generation that will take on the country.

What do you have to say about the youth of the country? Are they progressive now?
Yes, but I think the youth also needs some guidelines. They need someone to direct them right from their school years. This is something which hasn't been given to them apart from academics.

What is the role of television in educating the youth?
It is teaching us, period! Good or bad comes later. Television is the easiest medium of training someone. How you handle it in your house is important.

The show will never be able cater the same popularity as MJHT did
MJHT rocked becoz of Mayur and Sajan and their sizzling chemistry
GOOD LUCK STAR ONE AFTER MJHT ENDS

Wow!! I have to admit it does sound interesting! People today do want to make a difference, no doubt about that. I doubt I'm going to watch the show, but I think its worth giving it a chance (strictly my personal opinion).
But I don't think it will cater to the same audience as MJHT. Reason? People who watch MJHT just want masti in the show. Remember the political track? The gang was out to make a difference, "Yeh hai Youngistaan meri jaan". That track did not really go down well with most people though, I had really appreciated that track, specially since Nupur got a lot of screen space alone! People watched MJHT to relieve their stress! I don't think this show can do that. Seems rather serious kinds. Therefore, it will definitely not have the 'fun' element.
It will have its own spark and charm but totally different from our MJHT.

I'll miss MJHT!

I agree!! A lot of hype is created about every show before launch. But success ultimately depends on whether the show clicks or not.
