Replying to your posts in order to prolong this conversation. I am in no way trying to 'bait' more people into wishing me happy birthday.
Divya, as for intruding upon a public forum. 😆 I understand. There was a line from a film, (brace yourself, this is not as crude as it sounds) where he says ' you look more naked than others' Certain people have a way of being so earthly and natural that all feelings, reactions and words are dusted with a wholesomeness. You can not help but feel sheepish. Teju brings out the rawer side of me, less flourish more nourish. I love her!
Teju if you doubted my sincerity at the wit of your one liners then I am sure Divya's praise should suffice against all reservations. They are indeed unique and much sought after. I miss them dearly.
@ Both Daoming Si and Shan cai are not like SG, they are most definitely in the category of DE and MN. He is more mean than Mayank or Darcy, from a rich family but no love from any parent. Closes himself off from others from a fear of abandonment and cocooned in his loneliness. He keeps people at bay by violence and insolence. Bullying people at an 'upper class' college, forcing others to quit if they stare at him, or glance or even just upon a whim. She is from a poor background, there upon scholarship, she is not timid, infact stands up to him whilst defending her only friend, only to be punishment by his severe bullying. However where many 'men' have quit, her Elizabeth, Nupur fighting spirit makes her retaliate and inadvertently makes him fall for her. She meanwhile falls for his friend.
Why I love them? They again illuminate the DE effect, he humbles before love without losing his own self and she learns the meaning of true love based not upon expectations.😃
If you are interested then I can pm you a site where you can download for free HQ subtitled version, not that I am implying that your Korean is below standard. 😛 I recommend the Korean version as it is more polished. Between my offline and online friends, I can not convince any to watch either 'boys over flowers' or MJHT so that I can finally have a conversation where I can discuss DE, MN and DS!
Now to the pith of the matter. I guess I was being unfair for in truth you could not give proper judgement.
However sagacious Divya is correct out of Darcy and Mayank I prefer Mayank, as her wise self surmised because he is more real to me. True Darcy is the general template however Mayank is dealing, handling specifics. 😛More beloved for one rare trait; his haya. Darcy was tainted by it but Mayank is drenched in its light.
However out of the three, it is Daoming Si, whom I cherish. For truly if Darcy is the supernova from which sprung these stars, though Mayank's star burns brightest, Daoming Si's star has come the furthest. That is where my love lies. The journey travelled. For we may not all be stars, nor flowers but we can all fulfil our potential. For example, before he confesses to her, whilst she is unaware of the fact that the man who bullies her actually loves her, he asks her out on a date, but she doesn't hear as a plane passes overhead, so when later he tells her the time, date and place, she doesn't quite understand. She turns up later, only out of curiousity. A man who never had to pause for anything, had everything at his beck and call, who never waited for a season to change, waits for four hours in the pouring rain. When the object that kept him there appears instead of unleashing 'incredible hulk' he hugs her and asks, " 'Are you all right?' I was worried something had happened to you." I just love him
Or when he asks her why she doesn't like him, as he is quite a catch, rich and handsome. She shouts and doubts, pokes fun at his curly hair. A man whom every peer emulated begins to wake at dawn so that a hairdresser spends two hours straightening his hair. These are just the beginnings of the story, like MN's exam track or DE's Netherfield ball. There is more, far more wonders to behold, would you not like to become enchanted?
In regards the matter in hand, there is further still to expound. For in reality I have known of a Darcy and I am met a Mayank (before you ask Teju, he is Mayank in substance and not form, he is quite unlike Arjun. He is tall, blonde and blue eyed, but in character he is Mayank, if your heart can separate the two.) Out of all five, fiction and real, my heart belongs to, yearns to be with, pines at every heartache, for the 'real life Mayank that I met. An offline sister says that the day I meet the real life Daoming Si is the day that there will finally be a ring upon my finger, not that I care for such affectations. However all I can say today is that I love ________, that real life Mayank, with all my heart. I can not convince my heart to settle for any other.

Considering the affect upon the heart of such stories as mentioned above, which raise 'expectations' of love, are Dramas good or detrimental for the human soul? Is it better not knowing better?
To paraphrase a line from a film, the girl declares that 'she knows what she wants and that is all she needs to know,' to which he interjects 'How can you truly 'know' what you want if you don't know any better? I realize that I don't actually know any better, so I never ask for specifics but only the general, even in my prayers. That way for all these years I had been asking for a 'general' Darcy, I may end up with the specific Mayank or Daoming Si or better?
PS: -Did you try the recipe? It is an actual recipe for no bake cookies, just place in refrigerator overnight. I love them. They are good fun to make with children too.
