Yeah he placed the ring on her finger and was all romantic and stuff. But hear what he is actually saying. he is talking about fate, taqdeer, kismat. not talking about him or her and What he feels for her. if i were in Geet's place i wouldn't find it romantic i would term it as an escapist behavior where he is blaming fate for his actions or the situation they are in. Fate is not at blame - he asked her to be his fake mangetar. so i can understand her hesitance and her anger.

i was initially bowled over by the scene just because Maan is so freakin hot and sexy not to mention intense and passionate. but if you dissect the scene, you'll see that not once did he mention his feelings for her, what she means to him. he has told her what she means to him before and through actions, but not when placing that ring on her finger - it was more out of i guess fate has this designed for us.

BUTTTTTTTTT when he placed it on her finger the second time around, he meant it - i felt that this time around he was putting it on her finger somewhat due to the right reasons (Not completely). It was "HUM".

so you'll ask me where is the symbolism in this -and i'll say that their love has not gone through the test of time, truth, perseverance, sacrifice, patience YET. the first engagement signifies that. You know the superficial love that we feel for each other - which don't take me wrong is still love - but untested love. AND the second engagement is when you have gone through life together and have been steadfast and supportive of eachother. (EXAMPLE: okay the kind of love you have before you get married - the movie kind or really early in your married life and the one that you have for eachother after you have spent 5-10 years with each other, when you know eachother so well)

Disclaimer : i am not saying they haven't shown concern, care, love to each other or saved each other's life etc, they have - but the real test will come when Maan stands by her when she needs him the most!!! that will be true love - if he doesn't that means he still doesn't understand love yet.

he wasnt confused... but yes he was dazed, cos for the zillionth time, he actually had no control over what was happening to him around her ... he was talking to his grandma about why he didn't wanna give her the ring cos the engagement was not for real.. well he was making sense here, cos that was the right thing to do..and the ring was khaandaani... he couldnt give it to a fake fiance.,... but that one look from her, actually changes it all.. he is like.. heck..! this is a fake engagement but my love for her is real.. thats why .. he chases her like that .. and whats the first thing he says to her ??? "stop running away from your feelings..."
- OK she is confused too? Itna kuch bolne ke baad why the confusion? I thought she knew what he wanted to say outside the disco, that's why she stopped him. Errrr...
she is confused as to why this is happening to her, she is caught between the reality of her life and what she feels for this man.. while he is more sure about her feelings for him.. she being a girl, and one whose been cheated in the past at that, wants to just make things around her more pucca...
- After a night full of confusions, we see the tables turned. Now Geet is getting fits and is testing him. That wasn't a good way missy! But looks like she wants a clear answer - yaa idhar yaa udhar. She cannot handle both jobs. Does this mean she will leave the sec job after actual engagement?
obviously .. she would want some amount of clarity with things around her .. she cant keep dilly dallying, she wants to make sure that she wouldt get hurt again .. and i think she has every right to ... Dev also was an angel when he was around her .. there was no reason why she could suspect him... and now .. Maan, a contrast ...also feels for her .. but the doubt in her mind, still makes her look at everyting with an eagles eye...
and i dont think she will leave the secy waala job!!
- He didn't like it one bit when she said he cares for the ring and not about his fiance. (touchy)obviously!!!!
- Iske saamne main kuch bol kyun nahi paata - He will always let her have her way. And to come to think of it, she has become more authoritative. With authority she pulled the file from him and snatched the phone too. i have begun to think, he loves the authority she exercises over him! he asks her to look into his eyes while talking, but what exactly was he doing in that scene?? why was he fumbling when he said .. everything doesnt have an answer...
- Angoothi dil se nahi pehnayi - maybe not with the correct intentions. He was in a daze then and didn't know what he was doing or why. That's why it came off of Geet's hands and traveled back to him.
i replied on mera waala post .. toh main fir se yahan type nahi karoongi ... tum bhi kitna padhogi??? 😆😆
- Comfort level raised another bar - Now they can talk about their feelings and desperately want to know what the other thinks.
- He's REALLY tired of fighting. Now all he wants to do is have heart to heart conversations with her.
- Aaj jo humare paas hain, kya hum usse khush nahi reh sakte - Again HUM should be stressed here. He has said it loud and clear, there is HUM between them. That they are now one with heart and soul. Just words away. Possible symbolism - they'll be happy with what they have. They won't fight over what happened, could have happened, or will happen.
- Puts the ring back on with correct intentions. No confusion now! 'This belongs to you Geet.' And frankly, if you compare the 2 events, there is change of expression. From daze to affirmation.
- Pyaar ki nishani ko banane se kaise rok sakte hain- Geet's baby? Does this mean the baby is here to stay - with both of them?
- Nothing can shake Maan when it comes to Geet. Pehle when everyone barged in and then when Sasha came in. He didn't look at her even once.
why would he look at stupid sasha when Geet is around... god .. and the way he holds her hand...
- He will not build any pyaar ki nishani without Geet. Means he will never ever think about anyone but Geet. They are meant to be.
- For once MSK declared he doesn't know anything about something. He doesn't know anything about love. What has Geet done to the ego filled man? BTW, does this mean he'll be all goofy when they start going out? Since he doesn't know how to act? I doubt! He's too romantic for words.
- Kya pyaar ke bina jeena itna mushkil hai - I think they will separate for a bit and then realize how difficult it is to stay away from your beloved.

and then.....there is Maan and Geet who are totally CLUELESS of how to do or say anything about LOVE! DAMN...they are bigger IDIOTS than us!!!

they are soooo at it all the time, perhaps they dont know what love is all about ... issi liye all this confusion... on a more serious note .. this is for the first time that the love story between a lead couple has everything going, without a formal confession and i find that a little more impactful...😊

Ok...now back to the post.............and lets look for some SYMBOLISM from today.....

Pyaar ka Aashiyaana kaise banaiey..... Maan sochta hain GEET ke beghair koi ghar nahi ho sakta....and clearly denies that if she is not a part of this project, then he will not build this Pyaar ka Aashiyaana...

yeah ... he will not get into this without her .. cos i think the only reason why he is doing this project is cos he wants to know what importance love holds in her life... in the past she has been pushing him away .. there have been moments when her eyes have given her away but she has denied the same with either harsh words or by running away ...so if what he feels for her is love, then he wants to know if she feels the same too.. and if she does then what does she define their relationship as ....

HUM.....i loved this scene.....when he clearly said Geet....HUM itne mushkil se.... and she totally picks up on the HUM queue...and remembers how in anger he denied the existence of HUM....so she looks at him and He REAFFIRMS with a nod his hean...yes...HUM...and Yes I mean it this time HUM does EXIST.....

this is another scene i loved for another reason ... normally the guy is of the type who would never look back at anything thats hurt him... thats the reason why he has them all locked up in one room... when he see's her there in that room.. he even taunts her saying, its symbolic that he had found her there as well.. and then he walks out of the room leaving her behind.. but a few hours later ... he is again pleading with her ... to admit to her feelings .. he may have said it .. but he himself knows, he is nothing at the moment without her ... she is his emotional need.. and without her he will fall like a pack of cards ... ditto with her .. so when he reaffirmed the hum bit .. i smiled ... he was validating a reality...

Today's episode was more on the BLATANT side and less on the symbolic side....no??? But even being BLATANT....these two have not BLATANTLY said the 3 magical words to the other...which both are dying to hear from the other. koi kare toh kya kare????

i would say it was a combination of both ... and this is one jodi that doesnt really need the words ...

So what say Glaz....Pyaar ke Maiyne kya hai....for Geet...for Maan.....but MOST importantly for you??
