Hello friends. How are you all?š¤
Before i state the purpose of this topic, I'd like to tell u ppl that I'm not a Serial buff at all. In fact i hate most of the daily soaps aired nowadays. But there is an exception- MJHT.š³ And that is because the freshness, uniqueness of the show. Its not just about love, its more about friendship. And thats what makes it different from other shows.
But, there was another show, before MJHT, which was a huge hit, because it was different, and it was also about friendship. The show is My all time favorite - Friends.š
So, i was watching some of my fav friends episodes on DVD the other day, n i realized that these two shows have a lot in common. And i decided to make a list. Its not exactly the same, but many of MJHT's characters show traits that are present in Friend's characters.
Here's my list :
1. Friends , 6 main characters (Monica, rachel, phoebe, ross, joey, chandler) : MJHT , same when started(Samrat, mayank, uday, diya, nupur and gunjan)
2. There are two couples in the group (Mon-chandler and rach-ross) phoebe marries mike and joey is single(till the end) : MJHT, two couples (sajan n mayur) , diya falls for benji( but he's in the group in mjht), whereas dodo is still single.š
3. Friends, there's a Casanova - Joey : MJHT, here we have Samrat.
4. Friends, a spoilt babe - Rachel : MJHT, we have Diya.
5. Friends, an obsessive cleaner, very particular about her things- Monica : MJHT, Mayank - particular about almost everything.š
4. Friends, Funny guy - chandler : MJHT, our own dodo -Uday
5. Friends, Ross- Monica ,sibling rivalry but a cute bro-sis relationship : MJHT, we have diya-Uday
6. Friends, Ross-Rachel ,on-off relationship(but they love each other no matter wat) : MJHT, we have SAJAN on-off relationship (Hope they come together soonš³)
7. Friends, Monica-chandler, tries to keep their relation a secret, but frnds find out. :MJHT, same with MAYUR, dodo n benji find out.š
8. Friends, Chandler leaves yemen(and his job) for being with monica : MJHT, Mayank leaves banglore for Nupsi.š³
9. Friends, Chandler suffers from the trauma of his parent's divorce and so has commitment problems. : MJHT, samrat goes thru the same.
10.Friends, Emily(ross's second wife) tells ross to break friendship with rachel , when he doesnt, they get divorced : MJHT, sheeeenaaah tells samrat the same, but sam chooses gunjan over her, causing their breakupš„ŗ.
well , you can add to the list if you can think of any other similarities.
The essence of this list is , though there are so many problems, and strains in their relations, they overcome them always and be together to support their friend. thats the common thing in these show.
And that is what friendship is all about.šš¤
