And whether a singer is a audience favourite or not that doesnt matter ,that doesnt add advantage, shreya got a very good response for Teriore from audience but the judges.................... Anyways I dont want to start that topic again.😭

I shall comeback to alkaji, this is not Alkaji's best my dear, actually this song from rajahindustani doesnt appeal much to the audience, infact this is nothing compared to alkaji's "Tip tip barsa paani, Taal se taal mila, Bole choodiyan, & so many other.

Both shreya & alka have been my favourite, & I have done many song selections for them. I too want to see Alkaji in the finals, infact I am quite surprised to see that Alka who ruled the music industry & was almost everyones favourite in 90's & initial years of 2000 hasnt even once topped the competition, thats the saddest part of this competition. 😔

Look Teri Ore is one of my favorite tracks ever. Shreya's voice was beautiful in it. But being a judge I have to bring out the technicalities too. It just wasn't up to MY standards. That doesn't mean it has to be like that for other members either. Each listener has a different point of view. Why can't we just all learn to respect that and move on? Audience favorites DOES MATTER! Wheteher you want to admit it or not, if you're popular with the audience then you have that advantage over the other! Its just how it is sadly. The judges have a responsibility. If we weren't judges we'd probably look over all the negative aspects of the songs and give the singer a perfect rating. But as a judge we have to look at EVERYTHING in the song. We are all human. None of us are bound to agree on ratings.

I never said this song is Alka ji's best! Because she's a singer who has sung a large variety of songs, its kind of difficult to pick one particular song that is her best. That's not my point. This is one of her stronger songs in my opinion. And that's only MY opinion. No one has to agree on it. The other songs you have mentioned are def higher in difficulty, but we wanted to save those for even later rounds, which clearly looks like a mistake! Still I think this song does bring out the best in Alka ji when we talk about expressions and the feel to the song!

I agree with the last part you said. Its kind of sad that she hasn't topped once. But let me tell you the reason too! She's NOT an audience favorite. And that is a HUGE factor. Some people vote on the poll for the heck of it! That's why you see people voting for 1's and 2's for some singers. Those people clearly don't care about this competition and aren't taking it seriously! But at the same time we have to remember that each and every singer is just as good as the other, so at this point any elimination would be upsetting. For me each one of these singers is a winner. In my very earlier posts near the beginning of the competition I had stated that who are we to judge them? They've already made a name for themselves and our little ratings isn't going to change their success and fame that they all have reached thus far. But because this competition is for all fun and games, I'm doing all the ratings. But seriously we aren't anyone to rate such top class singers. So just remember no matter who's out they all are winners regardless!
