When a girl especially an orphan like Suman , falls in love for the first time, and the love is reciprocated and is cherished, then the love becomes stronger and deeper.
And when it faces adversity, and the man you are in love with stands strong for you and on repeated rejections from you, still believes in your love for him and keeps other women away from himself, doesn't commit to anyone else and stays faithful and staunch in his love for you, then not only your love but your respect also increases for him.
And when you ask him promise to forget you and move on and marry some else saying you are leaving his life forever, and he refuses and says that she is the only girl in the world for him and keeps waiting for you, then that love and respect for him grows tenfold.
A girl who has never known any love,, or any young girl for that matter when she falls in love, the first time may or may not be love, might first start with infatuation and then turn into love, but when the man proves his love for you, and has faith in your love for him and fights to be with just you and no one else but you, that infatuation, would turn into such deep love it would be take roots in your heart and every dream that a girl dreams of, when she comes to an eligible age, takes form in him and he becomes your life.
And especially for an orphan like Suman, such love is a rare and a precious gift that she had only dreamed about. And thus in Suman's words, he not only became her life but also her God.
Then, is it that easy to forget such a person?
And then, after that, she saw him give his life, saving hers. And when you lose someone you love like that, in such circumstances, can one ever really get out of that trauma completely? Esp. as all those dreams that you have seen together and on your own are all left incomplete and shattered?
All that remains is the final confirmation of the depth of his love for you in the way he gave his life unhesitatingly while saving your own. And so, you can come out of the trauma enough to function, but your heart will always keep yearning and questioning about the unfulfilled dreams with the love of your life who had given up his life saving yours.
And later, if life creates such circumstances where you have to move on, you might move on, but a part of your heart will always remain his, cherishing his memories and the love, including the dreams you dreamt together of the life after. People might love several times and in several ways, but does not mean getting a new love wipes out the memories of the old love completely.
But, that seems to be the case with Suman since karan's come back. She seems to have thrown away all the memories, love and everything in her heart regarding the man she loved and married previously, as a piece of trash, which is of no use to her anymore. It was as if the love and marriage never even in existed.😕
When Karan came back, there is not even one second of confusion and joy in Suman's character. She may have moved on, but only, because she thought she could not have Karan anymore. So, when he came back, it is natural for her old dreams which were unfulfilled and shattered mid stream to awaken and for her to see some confusion as to the present love and the past. Because you can neither forget the past love or the present love, and hence the confusion when suddenly when the past comes into your present, the past you had loved with your whole heart and claimed he was your god.
That is what you would expect from any normal woman who loves truly and with her heart. That is when she questions herself, takes a step back and tries to assess the situation and look into her heart to see what she wants and till then keep both away. And till then, gives the guy who came back from the dead some time to adjust, treat him with compassion and sensitivity for, to him you are still you, and so is your love, and his love is still as true and as deep and hope your present love in the meantime, understands you and gives you space.
But, here Suman basically threw the memories of Karan in the trash as she got a new shoulder to lean on and is now impatient to get on with her new love but doesn't have the guts or the class or dignity to give both these men who love her like crazy their due and treat both the men and their relationships with dignity.
Now it looks like that she would have married and lived happily with Tanmay too if she had the chance, as she seems incapable of any deep feelings in her heart for any one . Either that or her love changes like the wind, from person or place to the next, as to which is convenient to her or on her whim.
She comes across now as a heartless woman, or a user who uses them as whoever is conveniently available to her at the moment, as long as they are eligible.
Her character makes you now believe , that if Kartik for some reason dies now or is presumed dead, that she would go ahead with Karan, Tanmay or any such stranger, (as long as they are young and eligible) whoever is there to give her support seeing her previous actions.
