OK... my scores have been posted and I'm giving out one mark for Romantic feel to those performances which I thought were best-emoted.

Since Bollywood is synonymous with romance, I was looking for something extraordinary, to be deserving of that one bonus point from me. And all the singers were good in the emotion department. Those who I thought might faulter were handed out very good compositions (Madhushree with Rahman's 'Tu Bin Bataye' and Chitra with Anu Malik's 'Kasam Ki Kasam) and those who could have done well were given strictly average stuff (Kavita and Richa).

First of all, Richa is out of the race because she had a melancholy composition.

Secondly, and surprisingly, four singers will be out of the race for simply smiling throughout the song without paying adequate attention to variation in expression. They are Shreya, Alka, Chitra and Madhushree.

That leaves Sunidhi, Kavita and Mahalaxmi - each one gets an extra point from me!

So Mahalaxmi with a 10 from xobile! 😲

^^ Yup, Maha gets 10/10 in the romance round. In any other round, it could have been lower since I wouldn't otherwise reserve one whole mark for outstanding expression.

Oh and I forgot to add - Alisha also gets a bonus mark!

Round 4 is over!!!



Richa Sharma is eliminated 😔
Just shows you how a bad song selection could mean the end for you. She had a great run, has been on the top so far in this competition. She had a Top 3 finish in Round 1. And she had 7.8 and 8.1 in Rounds 2 and 3. So very strong start. She already had proven herself. However, this round the game ended for her.

However, being Top 9 for the past 2 decades, not bad.

2. Alka Yagnik- 9.2
3. Shreya Ghosal- 8.9


Mahalaxmi Iyer's "Bol Na Halke Halke" won the hearts of the audience and the judges! Great score, ties the highest so far! Congrats to her, and Alka and Shreya too for finishing Top 3. Alka for the 2nd week in a row finishes 2nd, she still is looking for her first #1 finish. While Shreya finishes Top 3 once again and for the 4th straight week!

And that's the end of Round 4...

Round 5 is next, starts in about 18 or so hours! Remember the theme, happy/fun songs. It should be a great round!

It's disappointing Sunidhi Chauhan doesn't even have a Top 3 finish yet. Also, it's surprising, Mahalaxmi Iyer, with so many great singers, just finished #1.

So Round 5 will begin in about 12 hours...the songs have been finalized...It will be a fun round! 8 singers left, things are about to get tough. This round is quite broad in terms of song selection. The only thing you won't see are some pure romance songs, ones that are actually serious and meaningful and pure dance/iterm songs, where in the movie/lyrics, it's obvious that this is a dance/item song. But they all will be fun/playful songs. Based on the song selections, this will be tough!

First half of Round 5 is about to begin in 10-20 minutes!
