CHAPTER 14
The other two weeks were very busy. Prida hardly spent some time with each other except for meetings and office matters. They were missing each other but knew that office is also their responsibility. Varun was also very busy with them but they always send him home early saying that he needs some rest as well some time to spend will rosh and they will manage office. Varun argued with them but always lost in the end and was forced to come home early. The next day he came office earlier than prida and went to attend the meeting after the meeting he went to see if prida came or not so he went in pri's cabin. Damz was also there and they were working on some files. Varun enters and pri asks "how did the meeting went?" Varun replies "great bhaiya." Damz smiles and says "mera devar meeting attend kar raha tha kuch galat kese ho sakta tha." Varun smiles and says "we got the contract and bhiaya you and bhabhi will go to see the area." Pri says "but office main itna kam hai varun." Varun frowns and says "bhai its enough you always send me home saying that i need rest and also need to some time to spend with rosh. U also need rest and time to spend with bhabhi. I know that you are going for office work but still you can spend some time with each other. It is a very beautiful village and i know bhabhi want to spend some time with you." Pri and damz stare varun and he continuously gives them a lecture. After giving them a big long lecture he waits for them to say something but they remain quite. Another five min passed and still no response then he says "bhaya i said something" pri says "yes i listened we will leave tomorrow ok." Varun becomes angry and says "fine bhaiya don't go i will go with my bhabhi." Pri was about to say something when varun winked at damini and she stood up saying "yes if u don't wanna go with me i will go with my devar." Then she puts her arm in varun's arm and they both say "bye" and leave the office. Pri thinks "oh shit i just ruined my opportunity to spend some time with damini. what would have happened if i had said yes but i wanted to finish this file first now keep working and damini will also won't be around to bring coffee for you." He held his head in hands saying "oh man." Then he thinks "i still have time maybe i can go with her and convince varun." He leaves the file and rushes home.
At home varun enters with damini and sam says "are bhaiya kahan hain? Aj ap itni jaldi ghar kese?" Damini looks at varun and they both smile then she says "main ghar jaldi varun ki wajha se ayi hon and i am pretty sure ke pri bhi ata hi hoga." Sam becomes confused and looks at varun. Varun says "bhabhi ap ja ke packing karein main inhein batata hon ke kya story hai." She nods and varun tells them what happened and as soon as he finishes pri enters and damini comes downstairs. All look at pri and start laughing then varun says "shall we go bhabhi" asking for hand. she gives him her hand saying "yes why not." Then they both go outside while pri stands there watching them helplessly. Sam comes and whispers in pri's ears "bhaiya ab ja ke bol do ke apko bhabhi ke saath jana hai warna varun ko wahan ja ke apke kapre use karne honge kyunke bhabhi ne apki packing hai." Pri looks at sam and gives him a big smiles then rushes outside where varun was waiting from him. damz was already sitting in the car and pri says to varun "thanks" varun smiles and says "ab ap jao warna bhabhi ka mood change ho gaya na toh woh mere saath hi chali jayein gi." They both laugh and everyone say goodbye to them. Then pri starts driving and they leave.
On the way pri says "for a moment i really thought that u are going with varun." She laughs and says "i am glad that varun sent us to examine the area." Damini falls asleep on the way and pri looks at her. she was sleeping peacefully last few days were very hectic and she hardly slept so peacefully. He was starring at her and some strands of hair were on her face. he stopped the car and put those strands behind her ear. She shifted the position of her head and his hand stuck beneath her head. He removed it gently and she again shifted the position of her head. He smiled and again start driving. She woke up after some time and he said "uth gai sleepy head." She relaxed and started to look out of the window. They chatted and stopped at a dhabba to eat something. The weather was very pleasant plus steaming hot food they were enjoying it very much. After eating something they left and she talked nonstop to him. he was quietly listening to her and was enjoying her sweet voice. He missed her for the last two weeks he was looking for an opportunity to spend some time with her today he almost missed it. He was such an idiot. She was talking to him nonstop and he stopped the car. She looked at him confused and he leaned forwards and gave her a kiss on her cheeks. She became more confused and started blushing. He moved forward to her lips but she hugged him instead and he smiled. Then they break their hug and he started driving while she started singing songs. He said "damini you have a very melodious voice" she replied "yes i do. Now let's sing together" he said "no no i am a bathroom singer. Have a very bad voice." She said "no we are singing together" and finally convinced him. Then they started singing and Damz says to him "tumhari itni achi awaz hai aur tum itna Sharma rahe the. Prithvi i have become a fan of your voice" she extends her arm towards him and says "autograph plz." He stops the car and grabs her hand. Then kisses it and starts singing khuda jane(from film bachna ae haseenon) for her she smiles and sings along with him while he again starts driving. They both sing the song all the way to the village enjoying each other's company and thanking varun for sending them together.
They reached the area and pri surveyed it while damini just enjoyed the weather. She was not helping him and started playing with some children. It was becoming harder and harder for pri to concentrate on work. He just wanted to watch her play with the children and also join them. Finally the work finished and he sat on a big rock. Folded his arms across his chest and watched her playing. The children were playing blind fold with damz and it was her turn to catch. Pri decided to join them so he went towards the children. All of them were running around damini and she was trying to catch them. A boy hit into damini and she was about to fall but pri grabbed her on time. She removed the cloth from her eyes and looked at pri. He was lost in her beauty she placed her hand on his arm and then said "caught you." He replied coming out of the trance "whhhat?" She stood up and said "caught you now its your turn." All the children came back and said "chalo bhaiya ab apki bari." Damini tied the cloth around his eyes and then ran away. The children were running around him. he tried to catch a boy but he slipped between his legs and ran away. He tried to catch some other children but everyone ran away. There were noises of laughter around him and suddenly everything became quite. All the children were around damini and she was whispering something. Pri became confused and called her name but still no response and after five min all the noises came again and he felt some one dragging him somewhere. He removed the cloth from his eyes and saw all the children are dragging him somewhere. Someone is holding his hand other clutching his shirt someone clutching his jeans and pushing him. At last he fell and all the children started laughing along with damz. Poor pri fell in mud he knew it was all damini's planning. He stands up wiping the mud from his face and looked at the children along with damz as if he is gonna kill them. His hands were on his hips and he was starring the children. All of them ran behind damini who said "we were just having fun pr...ithv...i" his gaze shifts on her and she looks downwards while pri starts laughing. All the children along with damz also start to laugh then she said "chalo bacha party." Pri stood there watching what they are gonna do next. All the children came with buckets full of water in their hands and threw the water on pri at the same time. Damini was standing there laughing and lovingly looking at pri. Then they all ran away and damz gave him a towel. He took it and started to dry his hair. Then she gave him some dry clothes and he went to change. He came after changing and all the girls started starring him. damz became very jealous every girl was passing him a smile and he was passing them a smile back. He came and stood beside her saying "what are we gonna eat?" She replied "go ask those girls" pri said "oh so u are jealous huh." She says "no i am not." He replies "fine i will go and ask them" he was about to go when she grabs his arm and says "hum wahan khayein gay" and pointed towards a dhabba. He pulls her closer by her waist and she looks here and there embarrassed "saying stop it everyone is looking at us." He replies "don't care" she says "stop it prithvi" but he hugs her and says "i love you damini" she hugs him back saying "i love you too prithvi." Then they walk together to the dhabba to eat something. After eating pri goes with some boys and starts to play cricket while damz sit with the girls who were talking. She joined their conversation. Pri hits the ball and it passes by damini almost hitting her but she moved away. Then she picked up the ball and threw back at pri who also dogged it.
After playing cricket pri and damz have a walk in the fields hands in hands. While walking they saw some children fighting they come towards them and asked "what happened?" one boy replied "bhaiya yeh ladkiyan bhi na pata nahin apne ap ko kya samajhti hain. Ek toh cheating karti hain phir manti bhi nahin hain." One girl said "didi humne kuch nahin kiya infact cheating toh inhon ne ki hai." The boy gragged her and start shaking her saying "jhotiiiiiii" the girl start pulling his hair saying "main jhoti nahin hon." Pri and damz separate them and pri says "tum in ladkyon se panga mat lo inke pass dimag nahin hota hai. Is liye tum inse baat karke sirf apna time hi waste karo gay inse baat hi maat karo." Damz who was listening all this putts her hands on her hips and says "how dare you say all of this about girls? Tum ladke bhi na apne ap ko pata nahin kya samjahte ho. Badatamiz kahin ke khud kuch ata nahin hai aur humein boltein hain huh..... hum tumhein kabhi bhi kahein bhi hara sakte hain." Pri looks at her and says "is that so?" She says "yes" and the boys shout from behind pri "toh ho jae football match." The girls reply from behind damini "ho jae." They leave from there and gather in the ground to play. Damz was wearing a beautiful pink shalwar suite and her duppata was tied around her waist. Pri was wearing his black shirt with jeans ( i love him in black). Both were ready to play and the match starts. Boys and girl were both playing very good boys were ahead of them from one goal and black clouds were filling the sky. It was almost about to rain and damini kicks the ball and one more goal now they were equal. But before they could continue the match it started raining. Pri says "see boys, girls can play equally well as boys so don't underestimate them." Damini says to girls that "boys can be irritating but it does not mean that we should fight with them all the time." prida say "now stop fighting and shake hands" all the boys and girl shake hands while pri comes and whispers in her ears "ab mujhe tumhein manane ke liye kya karna hoga?" She says "nothing i am not angry with you." He replies "but i am angry with you and you can make it up to me ummmmmmmmmmmm by giving me a kiss." She blushes and pushes him saying "sharam karo." She then turns to go but he grabs her wrist and pulls her closer saying "at least ek hug toh mil hi sakta hai" and damz hug him and he also hugs her back.
They break the hug and children start singing the song koi ladki hai(from film dil toh pagal hai) pri goes and starts singing with them and finally damz also join them and they sing the song in the rain. They sing and play with children finally an aunty comes and takes her child with her. she says to prida that why don't they spend the night at their house. They agree and go her. She gave them a room to spend the night. Damz was standing by the window when pri came after changing his clothes. He looks at her. she was looking like a goddess. Her was floating in air and the moonlight was falling on her face. she was smiling and there were some droplets of water on her face as it was raining and she was standing by the window. Pri goes towards her and put those strands of hair behind her ears and she hugs him. he breaks the hug and then cups her face then kiss those droplets away from her face. she closes her eyes and he carries her to the bed. He places her on the bed and lays beside her. she hugs him and he also hugs her back. She snuggles more close in his chest and they drift off to a peaceful sleep.
