OBS/SGP Discussions

I guess I will start!

First off, I would have to say that I appreciate the Bengali version more, because there is not EXTRA drama. What I mean by that is, during the faint scene, it was done in such a natural manner in the Bengali version that it didn't seem out of place, yet, in the Hindi version, the major melodrama sort of ruined the moment. The production value however, for the Hindi version is much stronger, which I don't understand considering it is from the same production house.
Characters: Well, Ragini is an awesome actress and she is doing great with her role, Ishaan is so cute and fits his role as well, but for some reason I feel as though Ishaan in the Beng. version is a BIT more intelligent. I actually find the Beng. Ishaan cuter. The pairing of Ishaan and Suhaana seems a bit off, Ragni just looks a tad bit older, and now even more so due to the heavier cloths and jewels and makeup, but I find the Ishaan and Lolita in OBS suit each other VERY WELL.

I have added the most recent scene of Ishaan and Lolita of OBS, and I AM LOVING them, and I just hope that when Ishaan and Suhana get to this part in their lives that the creatives can show it in a normal and simple fashion...NOT in a melodramatic with a lot of background music.

I m luving SGP to d core... Awesum show wid a realistic approach 👏 Its lyk a breath of fresh air in dis polluted tv world lols... Tv is a medium of entertainment... We all watch tv for relaxation gosh nd dese tv makers just offer dese stressful dramas which keep on spreading more nd more negativity 🤪 forget about relaxation gosh dey just spoil our mood... Phew i m soooo happy to see a show lyk SGP which atleast makes us feel good 👍🏼
Talking about d fainting scene i really hadnt watched OBS during deir wedding so cant comment upon it lols....
All d actors of SGP suit deir character to d t... It seems lyk d characters were written keeping dese actors in mind... Dey r enacting deir respective roles soooo beautifully... Hats off to d actors as well as d production house for bringing updis fantabulous show on indian television 👏
Nd yes now d time to talk about OBS.... I recently started watching it nd i must say OBS is lyk wow... Sumtimes i feel dat obs is better nd sumtimes i feel sgp is better lols but d best thing both d shows r mindblowing... I just luv watching both d shows 😳 nd yes d bengali ishaan is also veryyyyyyyyy cute 😆 Omg u uploaded d recent epi i m luving deir honeymoon sequence... It is rocking 👍🏼 just luv deir scenes 😍 cant w8 to see dose mindblowing scenes on our sushaan 😍 taking about d difference in d final product whether it is dealing wid d costumes effects sets etc etc i think it also depends on d budget offered by d chanels for d shows 😳 but i luve OBS for its simplicity....

I guess both the shows have some pros and cons........so acc to me....

I actually saw episodes aswell but I cant understand one word of bengali. loooooool so that was frustrating. But without understanding if I look at the chemistry of the lead alone OBS is superior. I think Lolitha and Ishaan really complement each other well. In SGP you guys are all right Suhana just looks a bit older and there is something off in their physical chemistry. But I dont think that will bother us too much for too long because once they start interacting on an emotional level it will become more of a love story and they will become a great pair but at first sight to a lot of people they might look off. The actors are brilliant in their roles so I am confident as the show progresses they will make a awesome twosome.

I love the actress who plays Radha Bua but she is too young for this mother role, she looks like Suhana sister. And I love the other DILs more in SGP more than OBS who give a more kinder look whereas in OBS they look more like scheming even though they are very sweet. I love the Badima character in both the shows and excellent casting. I like Ishan's parents in OBS especially Ishan mother she is so maternal and very loving to Lolitha it actually feels like she is her mother more than her MIL. In SGP Inshan mother again looks too young they could change her hairstyle to give her more mature look.

Ohhhhhh I love Suhana father in SGP, the actor is a great and has come in many movies and tele shows he is amazing.

And yes being hindi production value is higher more money so presentation and sets are better.

What is the name of the guy who plays Ishaan in OBO?

i think its rajendra gupta.he's really cute.jay soni is also doin justice to the charecter but i agree the bengali version guy has my vote as of now.

i find Jay and Raagini more cute... i mean OBS's couple is also great together and looks adorable but i love SGP little more 😳
Been born in Bangladesh i completely understand Bengali and I think Sushaan in SGP is also doing great as OBS!! Its like same story, same characters but with different faces and different magics!!

and and the Chemistry between Jay and Raagini is creating up and i am sure it will be as magical as OBS!!

Hmm ... actually even I don't understand Bengali and yet I saw OBS in bits and pieces.

I must say that I like Ragini more as Suhana than Ritabhari as Lolita. Ritabhari seemed a bit raw in the initial episodes. But as their honeymoon drew closer, she got better. Ragini was great from the first episode. But then Ragini is an established actress whereas Ritabhari is a newbie, and only 17 years old.

Rajdeep Gupta as Ishaan and Jay Soni as Ishaan. I honestly like both. Jay Soni was a bit more fumbling, bumbling, controlled and convincing as the shy Ishaan. But Rajdeep was equally good in the emotional scenes. He conveyed his heartbreak and his perpetual conundrum very professionally. Let's see how Jay Soni performs in those scenes. Waise, I have a thing for geeky looking guys, so I like both Jay and Rajdeep. 😳

Even Ritabhari and Rajdeep didn't have that chemistry initially. It was only after their love story developed that I started seeing them as a couple.

With Suhana and Ishaan too, they are as different as chalk and cheese. So it remains to be seen how their camaraderie is portrayed. For now, I like them together. Jay's and Ragini's sheer acting brilliance wants me to cheer for them! 😃

Even I liked Ishaan's mom in OBS better than Shruti Ulfat. Shruti looks too young to be Ishaan's mom. And so does Sadia Siddiqui. Supriya and OBS's Badi Maa are equally good. One person I like better in OBS is Lolita's sister Lavanya. She has done a better job IMO than Sanjana in SGP.
