I '' defend from armaan side:

armaan left ridhhima bcz he did want to impose himself on ridhima just for the sake of his love....he cant be so selfish....and as far the letter is concern....one letter is not enough to break a so true and strong relationship.......any one could do some mistakes but it does not mean that their relationship is over...........in AR relationship how many times ridhima has said so things to armaan...like

"hum ek dosre kay lie bne.....". etc etc etc

but after all this armaan does not thought about to move on in his life even once..........bcz in the end he has a strong believe on his love...

so i dont think just on the basis of a letter u can ignore the such a passionate relationship of two years....

Why did he leave Riddhima if he eventually wanted her back?

He left Riddhima for her happiness. He wasn't in a state to carry on that moment mentally as well as physically. He had lost his mental balance. He feared that he might harm Riddhima due to his imbalance which ofcourse he did not wanted to. He feared that people will point fingers at her because of him. He didn't wanted to hurt her. Whatever he did was with clear and pure intentions,he just didn't want to be a burden on her for all his life since he though he might never recover.

Did he expect Riddhima to wait for him even after the letter he had writen?

Why not?
Did she leave him when he wrote the SAME dang letter during Suku's time? NO.
Did she went ahead and married someone else that time? NO.
Did she take the letter so seriously then? NO.
So why now?
She should have understood that he's going through what situation. It wasn;t her who had lost her mental balance,it was him. It wasn't her who wasn't fit mentally & physically. It was him.
The thing is,that she didn't tried to. Had she would have thought just one about his position she wouldn't have been in this state. So yes atleast I DID expect her to wait for him EVEN after that letter.

What right has he got to blame Riddhima when he too was at fault?

He knows he is at fault too. He isn't entirely blaming Riddhima for it. He is realising that he shouldn't have written that letter or left her,but his intentions were crystal clear. He didn't leave her for his selfish reasons,he left her for her goodness! It is just very difficult for him to accept that fact that RIDDHIMA the one he loved deeply and had made so many promises to would do that with him but now he has accepted the reality,no? And he is even ready to leave,no? So why blame him now?

honestly, the characters of all the three are those of confused souls, but why do we blame Riddhima alone? simple, most of the people on this forum are women ( or should i say girls) who take fancy to the opposite sex, and hence place themselves in place of the lady, and hype themselves into believing, agar main hoti toh main aisa kabhi nahi karthi...

for armaan: how could anyone love someone so selflessly, agar mujhe koi itna pyar karta toh main use kabhi nahi chodti...

for sid: he is calm, composed, and balanced, and that side of Armaan that, we would have all loved to see, had AR gotten together, but Sid, at the end of the day aint Armaan and thats where the problem starts and end...

for Riddhima: what is she cribbing about anyway, when she just has to pick from the best...

having stated the obvious let me actually move onto your queries...

For Armaan, whether people like it or not, running away at the time of crisis to handle the situation the best way has always been a habit, whether it was during Muskaan's time, or the sonpur time post the fire escape or the fight post bubbly incident- the last one, was the biggest blunder the creatives made to justify Armaan's absence! however, in a very skewed way, it did justify Armaan's stand... whenever there has been a problem in his love life, he has decided, to just move away for the sake of his lady love's happiness, thats his way of finding a solution to the problem! agar problem create karne waala hi nahi rahega toh, problem bhi khatam! he has never actually paused to think, what would happen to the girl in question, cos at that given point in time, Armaan has also been hurt! its a form of escapism! you love it or hate it, but thats Armaan, not totally white...how often do yo see a conventional hero showing streaks of anger, possessiveness, voilence all at the same time, all in the name of love and actually gets away with it in total style and charm???? Armaanness has become a habit....

Again, Sid, yes, he is a confused kid- but do lay emphasis on the last word of the line, he is a kid! confused, muddled, thrown in with a sudden set of problems, forcing him to suddenly grow up! that little kid inside him pleads to break lose and say, what did i do to get this- to add to the misery, he finds himself falling in love with the beautiful women around him, who the world calls his wife, but what does he do next? if she is his wife? does he get to keep her all to himself? rightly, as tamanna had said, she has just an infatuation, that perhaps would have bloomed into becoming love had she stuck around, but before life could give him a chance, she moved on, leaving a hurt sid come face to face with Riddhima, i wouldnt thus call Sid's love for Riddhima a classical mills and boon, love at first site pyar- its a pyar that grw out of knowing a person day in and day out, protecting her, taking care of her with total responsiblity, with total reluctance at first, eventually making way for love in his own way... how is he supposed to exercise his right over her, he is human? he chooses the complexed way! another form of armaanness, an angle, that we hate to admit, what did Armaan do, when riddhima refused to accept she loved him, he pleaded with her ( jan 2,08)- sid, doesnt say it in those many words, he lets his actions speak...

riddhima my love, who i love to hate!!! is so bloody right all the time, and thats what pisses most people including Armaan and Sid!! none of us like people lecturing us around, telling us what to do, and correcting us when we are wrong.. there has to be a reason why both the men love her so much though she puts them thro so much pain!!! the answer is out there... she is that part of every woman, no woman wants to acknowledge, which is why we hate her and crib and complain..

alas, real life is far from being half as glossy as this drama! and hence, we we sit and brood over someone else's life, cos, for her clearly its not the men loving her that seems to be her problem!!

There were many questions raised on Riddhima now its Armaan and Sid's chance to answer. Here is a Riddhima fan asking all the Armaan and Sid fans to answer a few questions. So is there anyone who would try their hand on this?
The questions are-:
Armaan-:
Why did he leave Riddhima if he eventually wanted her back?
Did he expect Riddhima to wait for him even after the letter he had writen?
What right has he got to blame Riddhima when he too was at fault?

Sid-:
If you guyz call Riddhima confused, what would you call Sid. He sent Riddhima to Pune
to meet Armaan and after the truth of them being married was revealed he wanted to take
Riddhima back home.
Why din't he say anything when his mom was getting Armaan married to her?
Was he just trying to save his skin, so that he would not have to be the one revealing the truth?

One major question to the great dani Armaan and Sid-:
If a third person too demands Riddhima and claims that he loves her will they give Riddhima
away to him?

All you SidMaan fans you are right Riddhima deserves none of them.

Krish.</font>

I am sorry but just because I am girl, this doesn't means I would blindly support the other sex. I am a woman first off all and would never make a decision which would show that we are weaker than the other sex or anything like that. Whatever I said was because I felt that was right and not because I "fancy" the other sex.
