Ali Merchant and Sara Khan's love story
Buzz up!

For TV couple Sara Khan and Ali Merchant, who met each other at an award function two years ago, love happened at first sight.

Ali Merchant said in an interview," We were introduced through a common friend and got chatting. There was something magical about that first conversation that cemented our feelings for each other. After that we started meeting often and went partying too. We have many common friends but always manage to keep quality time aside for each other. We had pure feelings for each other and did not want to just pass time with each other."

They were confident about their relationship and as their relationship was blooming, their parents soon came into the picture. "Sara belongs to Bhopal and I'm a typical Bandra boy. When I met her family, they were more than happy to accept me. Our parents mingled with each other and we were in the ninth heaven," says Ali.

They live in Kandivli, western suburbs of Mumbai. " Sara used to stay alone in Dahisar and for both the families it was a cause of concern. We have a provision called chiga, where a couple is allowed to stay together and we are happy," says Ali. Similarly Sara Khan has the same emotion and says, "When I met Ali, I knew he is the kind of person I wanted to be with."

About marriage Ali Merchant said, "People get married once so it has to be grand. Both Sara and I are so busy with our shows that we can't take time off from our work and we're waiting for the right time to tie the knot officially."

We hope this young couple will tie the knot soon.

They are staying together without marriage 😕? Well I know lot of people in love are doing that nowadays, especially celebrities, but I personally dont support 'live-in culture' that has come from the west, as I feel in some way it is like disrespecting our Indian culture and the sacred institution of marriage. I dont have problems in couples dating or going out with each other so as to understand whether they are right for each other or not, but staying together without marriage, somehow I personally cannot digest that and cannot come to terms with it.

I agree with you, esp. when Sara was uttering all big stuff about pre marital s** and all...Dont know about the authenticity of the article though...
Anyways, we should not be worried about their personal lives...

I am not worried about their personal life or anything, but suddenly when I read this article with them admitting openly about staying together without marrying, am a bit surprised, thats all.

i personally believe that one shud live wid the person they love and that's wat is happening, and its not like marriage is not on the cards! culture changes, views and societies change, today this is also accpeted in our indian culture and is part of it! they are soo many people who keep affairs and do things in private, and sum people r open-minded and publically accept their actions! all respects!😃

Agreed. I also don't care what they do in their personal lives.....but one should practice what they preach..I don't think this article is true.....Ali will never give out his personal lives details when he knows people are gonna react.....
