As we are all aware of MythBusters, the two men team, who are famous for verifying concepts or beliefs, through their experiments and then assess whether that is a reality or just myth.
We handed over the following synopsis of the show as per our forums to the MythBusters:

Dill Mill Gayye is a show aimed at the urban educated youth. Set in the backdrop of a hospital it deals with the pressures, the drama, the romance, the inter personal relationships and humor in the lives of young doctors. Keeping the environment of a hospital in mind, the characters of the show are real, their issues are believable and the approach is dramatic, but never unreal, albeit emotional and fun filled. Hence, our protagonist Riddhima is a 21-year-old intern with dreams and aspirations of becoming a top class doctor. like any other youngster of today, she has spunk and the spirit to have fun. What sets her apart is her ability to ride through the roughest storms relying on the honesty and integrity, which has been a part of her upbringing. Riddhima has all the ingredients of being a competent yet compassionate doctor and her faith never falters when following the right path be it a complex medical case or a real life situation. Also, alongside Riddhima we have some other young characters, representing the wide and varied lifestyles in India. The spitfire, focused and at times selfish Anjali, the rich, charming and laid-back lover boy Armaan, the anxious to please very Gujrati and a middle class girl Sapna and the always sweet appealing to all girls is Atul. These 4 along with Riddhima will take us through the various ups- and downs of todays focused yet fun filled youth.

The DMG team requested that the evaluation should be genuine as they tried to match up all the keywords in the synopsis of story guideline in their show. After the report was rendered by the MythBusters, the DMG team was given the chance to highlight the keywords in black & bold so they can show the connection between the show and their synopsis. They claim that their show meets all the requirements of the synopsis, word for word. We want you to be the judge?

This is the Report rendered by MythBusters.
We were provided with the synopsis, and instead of script of the show we were given the all the videos and also allowed to interview some of the available characters. It was difficult to watch all the episodes of DMG due to the time limitation, we calculated that if the production team discards all the recurring scenes of hugs, lifts, dolly-eyed looks, dupatta flying, dances, songs especially the promos and PreCaps then they will left with around 5-6 hours of material which is watchable on fast forward.
While reviewing the synopsis and watching the videos, we confused Armaan with Riddhima as the show was suppose to revolve around Riddhima. We were also impressed with Armaan's muscular body which he has tattooed sparingly to identify various parts of his body. We assume that this doctor may also be modeling for the Anatomy classes. Watching the remaining show was really funny as everyone was seen jumping around and talking in shrilled voices when played on fast forward and we really laughed.
In order to be fair in our evaluation, it was prudent to carry out the evaluation against the guideline mentioned in the synopsis. It was difficult to verify in one go, therefore we broke the synopsis down into statement for the ease of verification.
Here is the breakdown of the synopsis and our findings:
- Dill Mill Gayye is a show aimed at the urban educated youth.
Our Findings: It was revealed that the show which was aimed at urban educated youth, which, in fact most of them, left the country soon after the first few episodes. They are happily settled in developed country where no TV shows have agenda to challenge the youth IQ directly.
According to DMG team, in the current season, they have targeted the urban educated youth up to the age group of 5 years, as they cannot leave the country easily and also as per scientific studies carried out on children, a child in his/her 6th year can differentiate between good and bad, sensible and senseless.

-Set in the backdrop of a hospital
Our Findings: Actually most of the show takes place in the basketball court, garden, dance floors and in the parking lot. Therefore the hospital is only used in the backdrop and shown from only one angle which is due to the fact that this scene was taken from a hidden camera to check the attendance of the employees.
They have hired special actors who specialize in the skill to be present, seen leaving or entering the hospital whenever the hospital main entrance is shown. Few of them have been nominated for best regular entering-leaving actor at Global awards.
The interns and doctors always enter and leave the hospital from the backdoor or jump over the garden wall as they are never seen using the main entrance. Riddhima somehow knows a secret passage, which brings her directly to the reception area so that Armaan can see her coming.

-it deals with the pressures, the drama, the romance, the inter-personal relationships and humor in the lives of young doctors.
Our Findings: They were all under pressure to look lively and young. They watched all the dramas on different TV channels to come up with the pranks and dance steps on popular songs. The romance was something built into them. They all went to the finishing school of romance and dance of Rakhi Sawant.
We came across the problem with the inter-personal relationships. Most of the characters were of the understanding that the inter-personal means within oneself. So they all were self-centered.
The humor only came in when a patient died and gave their lives at their hands when they gave a wrong injection or treatment, that were the times they would burst into laughter and roll on the floor and have tears in their eyes. Regarding the young doctors, we met characters who were young and we met the professional doctors but we were unable to locate any young doctors.

- Keeping the environment of a hospital in mind,
Our Findings: When we went to verify about the environment of the hospital in their mind and they provided us with this list which they had in their mind:
1. All India Institute of Medical Science, Delhi
2. Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh.
3. Apollo Hospital, Chennai.
4. National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences, Bangalore.
5. Bombay Hospital, Mumbai.

- the characters of the show are real, their issues are believable and the approach is dramatic, but never unreal, albeit emotional and fun filled.
Our Findings: The DMG production team showed us the initial story guideline and the stock of dummies in their stores. The DMG apologized as they could not afford to show real characters, they were very expensive, therefore they reverted back to dummies. Only for dolly-eyed looks, lifts, and dances they used stuntmen instead.
Regarding their issues, they were actually real because they could not act. The salary was therefore just a token money, so it was believable. Approach they took was mostly dramatic as the assumption that their performance in all the episodes was going to be outstanding was unreal. Whenever they were refused a meal because of bad-acting they became emotional and whenever they got an extra cup of tea it was fun-filled instead of tea.

- Hence, our protagonist Riddhima is a 21-year-old intern with dreams and aspirations of becoming a top class doctor.
Our Findings: We discovered that they tried three different Riddhimas and none of them could become a top class doctor. They could only dream and aspire about dancing and singing and romancing and in the end they wanted to marry a doctor. The third one was successful in marrying one (kid) doctor (Husband ka husband, baitay ka baita) and has a second doctor as a backup too. One of the reasons for changing Raddhima's was to ensure that she as an intern should stay at the age of 21-years-old.
The biggest confusion between the fans is that they still think Armaan is the protagonist and acted in the scenes actually meant for Riddhima.

- like any other youngster of today, she has spunk and the spirit to have fun.
Our Findings: Instead of spunk we found punks with her in the hospital. We also discovered her room has cases filled with foreign labels of spirit for her fun parties. We also found a spirit lamp amongst other things. We could not locate the "other youngster" the one she was behaving like.

- What sets her apart is her ability to ride through the roughest storms relying on the honesty and integrity, which has been a part of her upbringing.
Our Findings: What the third Riddhima did, sets her apart from the other two Riddhimas, is goingoutdoors. She took a roughest ride in a local bus, and then caught up in hailstorm in summers.
The first two Riddhimas were never exposed to a situation of test their honesty and integrity but only their chastity. The third Riddhima was given the opportunity to prove herself and show her precious character trait. She has a couple of achievement to her credit which really shows her honesty and integrity.
First she left no chance to hit/slap a new intern Dr. Siddhant and tried her best to get him thrown out of the hospital and ruin his carrier, all in good and fun loving spirit of the character.
Second she blamed a fellow doctor Dr. Siddhant of rape whereas he was trying to treat her out of hypothermia. The treatment was suggested by another fun loving colleague doctor Atul who disappeared after playing this prank on Dr.Siddhant and Riddhima.
Dr. Siddhant then agrees to marry her as compensation since the rape could not be proved. She accepted the offer to marry Dr. Siddhant who, in all his naivety and goodness, wanted to help her save the face but actually she had her own little hidden agenda of killing herself on the day of her marriage, as a marriage present, but more as a friendly gesture.
As a character she came along in the package when her mother got married again. And being as good a daughter, as she is a doctor, she never trusted her step-father. So there was hardly any up in their relationship, just plain bringing. Having the ability to displease everyone, her parents have got themselves relocated with a new identity somewhere in the world, just to get rid of her.

- Riddhimma has all the ingredients of being a competent yet compassionate doctor and her faith never falters when following the right path be it a complex medical case or a real life situation.
Our Findings: We tested her thoroughly and found out that the statement is accurate as she has all the ingredients but not in the right places. She had complete faith that she can never become a doctor because she knew that one needs to focus on ones profession rather than romancing around day and night along. She is highly competent in creating confusion and yet very compassionate once it comes to crying.
She never admits that she faltered many a times at the stairs. It was observed that she has a peculiar habit of walking on the right side of the road. When asked she said "Dummy! I always follow the right path!! Please note that I always walk on the right side of the corridor going to the ICU for complex medical cases or right side of the road when I am going home after the shooting. Even in the family photograph - the real life situation, you will always find me on the right side".
Lately it has been discovered that one of her arms has become considerably longer than the other by being pulled regularly by her fellow character Dr. Armaan, in order to get her attention, by dragging her to the stairs more frequently now. Her lips have even become flatter as Dr. Armaan and Dr. Sid have started placing their palms over it to keep her from saying something.

- Also, alongside Riddhima we have some other young characters, representing the wide and varied lifestyles in India.
Our Findings: They showed us the group photograph of students from class 4 up to class 6 from which they chose 4 students who were slightly taller than the others as other young characters. They reuse the same photograph every time to select more interns.
It also cleared our concept of what is actually meant by wide and variety lifestyles once we talk of India. But they are not necessarily representing doctors. They have been basically hired to dance and play pranks on each other with the exceptional skill to look naive and stupid. It also gives the impression that the male interns are basically there to pickup fellow intern girls. They stand alongside each other in the locker room, never discussing patients but their own love problems.

- The spitfire, focused and at times selfish Anjali,
Our Findings: We were honestly impressed with the depth of action they have planned for the show. We started looking for aircraft hangar for a spitfire but we were asked meet a gentleman who trained the character Anjali. (He is also known to train Sister Stella who can throw daggers with her mouth). He brought us to a room where there was a person teaching another young female how to throw spit from a distance aiming at a dummy. They told us once she becomes perfect in her throw then she will try this feat by putting some lighter fuel in her mouth.
Earlier Anjali (Unburnt) was not careful with the quantity of the fuel, being selfish, did gulp in the whole bottle of lighter fuel (not leaving for others to practice), and as she was spitting it out after lighting the fire, the fuel drooled out of her mouth onto her body, her entire spit was on fire as a result now she is puriJali (all burnt) and had to be taken off the show. The trainer blamed her for the accident and said "at that time she was not focused on saving lighter fuel".

- the rich, charming and laid-back lover boy Armaan,
Our Findings: Being a laid-back lover boy he prefers talking once he is lying down therefore it was difficult for the female characters to talk to him. This is a possible reason for some characters to quit.
He believes in "looks" at first sight. His charming eyes are more like snake-eyes as he keeps staring in the eyes of person (charming female) and dazzle her with his dolly looks. This he can do episode after episode. Once he is starring at the females you can hear his thoughts loud and clear coming out of his ears and behind his head. (He is blessed with a 5.1 surround system). He has been nominated twice for the Best-Starrer. He is a multifaceted character, who behaves like macho, talks like 6 years old, dances like a bee, thinks like a girl and identifies himself with Casanova. Once it comes to emotional scenes which he likes to perform with himself, he becomes an emotional Yo-Yo. He can talk to himself loudly and quietly. He speaks faster than he can think. He is one of few who can talk and lose an argument with himself.
He prefers physical act in order to avoid any dialogues and considers physical act has more room for performance than to deliver dialogues with a straight face. It is obvious he has more muscles. Lately, after his comeback, Dr. Armaan has been pinning Dr. Riddhima against the wall in the stairs during the emotional scenes. When asked Dr. Armaan explained, actually these were the scenes where I am expected to pressurize her to talk to me and when I press her hard she just keeps on crying and "Man I must be doing something wrong!, maybe If don't put my hand on her mouth she might say something.." he continued "Just to make it look real, I have been practicing my scenes for the whole month, with her poster on the wall".
His characterization of being rich was only indicated on the show, when we went through the hospital records and found out that he has topped all the exams without ever seen studying.
One of the biggest emotional blocks he has is that this show is about him. The way he is building his body all this time may be the reason that he is now proactively preparing for any boxing match with Dr. Siddhant.

- the anxious to please very Gujrati and a middle class girl Sapna and the always sweet appealing to all girls is Atul.
Our Findings: While going through the class photograph it was easy to identify the anxious Sapna sitting in the middle of her class (someone had drawn bunny ears on her head). Her best performance could have been seen when she is welcoming the patients at the hospital reception and saying "welcome please and enjoy your stay" to every Gujarati while ignoring all others. This scene was deleted due to political reasons.
Dr. Atul is known as a sweet intern who is always appealing to all girls to go out with him, instead girls hand him over sweets, toffees etc. Lately he has been acting as a shoulder prop for Dr. Riddhima to cry upon. Under this attire of a sweet person is a devil in disguise who wants to sleep with every girl. He was responsible for what (he suggested to) Dr. Siddhant to take off his and Dr. Riddhima's clothes and provide body heat when poor Dr. Riddhima was unconscious and suffering from Hypothermia. This was pure fun to Dr. Atul. (We are restricted to use any term where a person has a liking for dead bodies.) Next morning he came to find out whether it worked for Dr. Siddhant but after listening to the Dr. Riddhima, and came to know that it has backfired, he did not enter the hospital after dropping her and instead disappeared from there after receiving a call from another producer. We also came to know he picked up this gag from James Bond movie "Spy who loved me". He is an ardent fan of James Bond once it comes to girls.

- These 4 along with Riddhima will take us through the various ups- and downs of todays focused yet fun filled youth.
Out Findings: This was difficult to verify, then we received the correction from the production team. It was meant to be Fantastic 4 as the DMG still considers them to be a spin-off of their show.
For the past 3 months Dr. Riddhima is definitely and successfully making the fun filled youth viewers jumping up and down, yelling and pulling their hair out but to no avail. In spite of having various options to reveal, she refuses to indicate her marriage by just wearing a mungalsutar around her neck. Now she got a husband Dr. Siddhant , matching her poor luck, who wants her ex-lover Dr. Armaan to make as many attempts on her (This scenarios has reminded us of the experiment which we carried on one of our mythbusters shows, where an inventor devised a lock and ask us to open it anyway we feel like and we finally opened it!) and being a good husband, not only bucks and cheers her up as to give her extra strength and never ceases to give her impossible tasks to further strengthen her character. But himself he cannot break this news to his mother. These fun filled youth have put a prize of $1000,000 for who could identify the storyline.
At this place we stopped going any further because we thought if we proceeded any further then we MythBusters may become a myth ourselves.

HOLY MOLY mars! this was a thesis......a very very informative thesis about a show called DMG! i have not followed the show from beginining and so i was completely unaware of the whole season 1 story line and season 2 storyline! i started watching it from season 3 aka Jan 2010....from the day Dr. Riddhima "chronic confused" Gupta whacked Dr. Siddhant "burst of Aaaah's" Modi not once but thrice! and hence i decided to check out their storyline!

My o my what a storyline it has been! I'm going ballistic over just the season 3 storyline! I don't think I could ever sit myself to watching the season 1 and 2! (besides i don't like to take steps back to the "past"...once i move on....i move on further...hint hintšŸ˜†)

I loved the whole Mythbusters touch! Dude you aced at busting atleast quarter of the myth of Sanjeevani and it's resident doctors who stare, dance, cry more than ever attending a patient! 😳

But there still remains the myth of the season 3 storyline and it's characters! šŸ˜†šŸ˜†šŸ˜†šŸ˜†

But you see, if we didn't have a show with a whole bag full of bloopers, then you'd have had nothing to write on!šŸ˜‰ 🤣 and this forum would have been Switzerland! And even though it would have been sweet and peaceful seeing cows grazing quietly on the Alps.......we all would have been chronically bored! Am I not correct?šŸ˜Ž

First of all thanks for breaking the ice. Out of the 70 odd readers, few of my friends liked it, but you are the first one to respond. I guess my post is following the fate of DMG.😭 I have nothing against the show but again after watching so much of TV programs, especially of US and UK you feel that there is much more to be desired. The indian movies are making their mark and I have seen some very good presentation on Indian channels. They are gripping, the story has its own kinks and twists but at the end of the day its the presentation which counts.

Haha Mars this is outstanding and thank you for the PM...I would have missed it otherwise! I suggest you send this master piece over to DMG team! It will force them to open their eyes towards the gross injustice they have been doing to the script of DMG!
Sorry I want to write more and appreciate your post more but I need to get back to books see unlike DMG I hope to become a real doctor although not gonna lie I wouldn't mind Dr. Armaan rotating with me in a hospital..after all studying is very stressful and Armaan would de-stress me fo sho 😳

This is the only thing I have laughed about, (wholeheartedly, mouth open and whilst simultaneously crying) that is related to DMG in months!!!!

Thank you. I am indebted.

Please do not restrain yourself, let free your thoughts for in the wild imagination there lies undeniable poetry and irrepressible truth!

I love DMG, my definition of love allows me to tolerate deficiencies without blind acceptance and denies me to abandon without gentle guidance.

Once again, thanks!
