I also liked the Abeer-TN scene at the start of the epi. TN trying to hide a tear. Putting up a 'I wasn't as worried, knew you were okay' front.

@bold: I liked that TN-Abeer moment too....the way he tried to hide a tear....and trying to show that he wasn't really worried or upset....

That's the charm of the show, Anu. Its real. (excluding a bit filmy song and dance routine tomorrow), Bittan's teasing, Leher blushing while confiding that she had confessed and TN's reaction were so real. No over the top histrionics.

I agree, Ritika....you know what I find interesting is that they've depicted the realism in a true small town setting of North India....like most shows on TV today are village based....so they have that rural realism touch etc....or there is the other end of the spectrum which has the over the top gaudy sari clad ladies parading around😆.

I find it interesting how realistic the clothing of Leher's family is especially....and even Abeer's sister Chutki...they look like ppl you would see anywhere walking around in your real life. For the most part, Leher and Bittan's clothes are kept simple too....

Anyways, I agree with the little touches you've mentioned like TN's reaction of trying to hide his tears, Leher's blushing and Bittan's teasing....the show has an overall natural, subtle vibe that way compared to most family drama type shows.

Yes Anu. The show depicts a UP town quite realistically. And thankfully, there are no over-dressed Christmas trees.

As for Abeer-Leher first date, she did not rush into his arms the first chance she got. I find the song and dance routine a bit OTT. Its a show and they need to do their bit for TRPs. That apart, I'm glad they are still trying to maintain the subtle flavor, its what attracted us to the show in the first place

Coming to the characters, although Boodha is depicted negative, she is not portrayed out and out evil, without any justification. One does expect elders to be quite rigid in their ways.

LOL yes, the song and dance routine is kinda OTT....but in a funny way it goes with Abeer's nautanki flamboyant personality😆😆....if it was any other character, I might have found it to be out of character....but somehow I don't see it that way with Abeer...I'd expected him to do something flamboyant and filmy only😆😆

But yes, overall they still have managed to retain the sweet and subtle flavor as of now and I'm glad about that too :-)

Boodha gets caricaturish sometimes even though I understand that some elders are rigid in their ways and won't listen to reason....but you're right....they do show some justification for the way she is.
