How much more contemporary Shakti?

Okay, so I know that I'm probably going to be facing alot of flak for this, but I have a serious problem with Shakti doing contemporary all the time. No matter how 'diverse' the theme gets, the style is always contemporary/freestyle. I don't understand how she always walks off with all the accolades by performing contemporary while everyone else is trying to be versatile. She does her style very well, agreed, but what about other styles? Is DID = Contemporary? Actually, this is another aspect that bothers me. Good contemporary dancers are always given the title of 'good' dancers, regardless of whether they're good in other fields or not.

Seriously Shakti, do something else too. I can't help but roll my eyes everytime she comes on stage and does contemporary. 🤔

I agree with u Neeta. In between she had performed different styles, but now its again contemporary , this week both her dancing styles were contemporary ! I think its time for her to do something else !!!

Don't worry coming week we will see shakti doing "poping" where there already a bench mark existing by dharmesh lets see where she goes, what she has done till date is a contemporary , india contemporary , lyrical hip hop which is again combination of contemporay and hip hop and ya one refreshing "roop suhana lagta hai " basic bharat natyam .it's not actually her fault it's terence lewis fault he is so obsessed with shakti and his and hers contemporay 😆

The number of contemporary act by Shakti is directly proportional to the number of BBoying act by Saajan and both are inversely proportional to the number of contemporary act by Dharmesh. 😛

Lets have a look at her performances in comparison with the Popular Best in the show!

Shakti's forte is contemporary and D's forte is hiphop! Shakti had done hiphop thrice (out of that in one occasion she got POTD award). D on the other hand have attempted contemporary only once, where is was completely overshadowed by amrita and his posture was... lets not talk about that! 😆

After the her cage act in 'Behtereen Barah' she attempted Pasa Doble, Hiphop, kalaripattiyu, Bharatnatyam, Locking & poping, Bhangra, Old School Jazz & Freestyle of course! The last week was the only week after Behtereen Barah where she did two back to back contemporary performances. Thank god you got to know its contemporary as Terence is not confused like Geeta regarding the dance forms. 😛

You bash shakti or lewis these people definately drag d sir and geeta 😆

if shakti is verstile then binny is "maha verstile" but poor girl is never appreciated as she doesn't belong to our lewis who is so obsessed with shakti and his love concept that he brings in to all his choreography 😆

So its not ok to bring Geeta or D in a Shakti topic but its absolutely ok to compare Binny with Shakti in Shakti topic??

Bound to be a comparison topic Ishan. 😃 Popular best is D. Most of the people think him to be the messiah of the dance! So just use D as yardstick for Shakti!
