This auspicious day celebrates the birth of Prince Rama, who is an avatar of Lord Vishnu and came down to earth to protect human-kind from demon King Ravana.

Lord Rama is a legendary figure, the epitome of all that is good and true, he is not just a hero, but has been given the status of a God by the Hindus.

Oh yes! A very Happy Ram Navami to everyone!

Man, I wish I was in India right now. Miss chana- poori and halwa that is prepared on this day. Also the practice of kanjak.(I miss being a small girl, LOL)

Sigh, to all those who are in India, and observe this day, have loads of chana-poori and halwa on my behalf guys!

Wish everyone a very Happy Ramanavami! Hats off to CVs for clubbing Alekh sadhna reunion on Ramnavami and yesterday sadhna reading abt Sriram and Sita was so nice!
