Hema vs Karunya

Who do you think is better ? Hema or Karunya ? Personally I believe that Hema has a better voice quality than Karunya.

No hard feelings all Karunya fans, but don't you think the way Karunya sings is little gayish. Just look at his face expressions. But he is a very good singer. Just a thought.

Hema has proved himself with tough songs like Nahi smane and Vande mataram

Karunya has the looks of a male Bharatnatyam dancer. He scores over Hema in diction though. I like hema's voice a lot better. technically I think they are almost the same. Karunya sang "Kaun aaaya mer man ke dware..." in the initial rounds. It was stunning to say the least without music...

Hema is definitely more mature for his age, but Karunya's pronounciation is fantastic.. his Kavah Kavah and Layee Vi na Gayee was super !

Totally disenchanted with SRGMP now, I started watching II2 yesterday (thanks to all those who upload on torrent sites). I've watched "Kaun aaya mere" and "Laayi vi na gayi" as of now. Voice quality - Hema is more rich and better. Diction - Karunya is wayyyy better than Hema. Tough choice...
Is he really Hem's cousin?
BTW, how come Shantanu da is in II2? Is he disgusted with the direction SRGMP is now taking and migrated to II2 or will he still be around? I loved that Piano round. Reminded me of the SRGMP round (usually in the finals) where they used to provide the singers with the opening scale, then no orchestra and to wrap it up, they would play the scale again to check if the singer had strayed from the original...

Karunya has been singing hindi songs from his childhood
One of the members posted one video of telugu singing compitetion in ee tv
In that he sang a hindi song at very young age(may be 9 years old)
he has hindi exposure from childhood

I guess hemu didn't have that exposure from childhood
Anyway he started learning now

In nowadays industry wants singers who can sing hiphop music
Eventhough hemu,karunya have classical base,They have to struggle a lot

I also felt sometimes he has little bit of gayish manerisms.I saw this behaviour in some authentic brahmin families

while hemu is not like that.He is masculine

that is a very tough choice to make. they both have very distinct voice qualities. true, karunya has a better diction in hindi but hema has improved a lot and i'm sure he can catch up. thank god they both r not participating in the same sompetition, else i would have a hard time deciding which one i like better.i dont know if they r related but they probably know each other as they debuted as a playback singer in telugu in the same movie.
